  • Belief is not just a factor, it's the cornerstone of running. It's the fuel that propels you forward, the force that pushes you beyond your limits. Without it, you're just going through the motions. But when you learn to believe in something bigger than yourself, that's when the real magic happens. It's the catalyst for monumental improvements in fitness and racing. So, keep belief at the forefront of your training, and you'll set yourself on a positive trajectory. Master this belief, and you'll transform into a better athlete.

Thank you so much for this video. It really has reminded me why I do what I do. After persevering through two serious knee injuries, a life threatening eating disorder, and the loss of someone very close to me, I have sometimes questioned why I keep coming back to running. But I have realized that running is how I have built up a belief in myself that doesn’t falter in the face of outside expectations. It is what motivates me to get up every morning and chase something greater than myself - a bar that keeps getting more ambitious but never fails to feel out of reach. I’m so exited to start my freshman season this fall and begin my journey as a college athlete. Thank you again for such inspirational content.

It sounds like you've had a lot on your plate recently. I'm sorry to hear about that. I'm glad you found a little bit of light in my videos, and I wish you the best of luck this fall!

I am several years older than you and never ran collegiately, but I run for myself 100+ miles weekly. Your channel is so inspiring and I cant wait to follow your journey!

There are sponsored athletes that can't run a video that wouldn't need a constant bleep the entire reel then there are the ones that give glory to God. Just found you but earned a follow. Love BPN!

I’ve been doubting my summer training because of small things like not perfect consistency or my Garmin not getting the perfect distance, but this had helped me realize that I have not been running for nothing and my training will pay of this season.

Such awesome content and vibes as always! Would definitely be super excited for a daily vlog series, as I didn't get to be there for "The Daily mile" while it was ongoing. Love the message of believing in your own potential, I think that we all benefit from just beleliveing in whatever we set out to do. If you aren't believing in yourself from the start, you're probably not going to giving your best effort either.
A question I had, does it really make that much of a difference for recovery, running on pavement as opposed to running on dirt/path?

So I just read Endure, which is the one I mentioned in this video. It is very information-heavy. If you're into cross-country distance running, Running With the Buffaloes is a pretty good choice. Run the Mile You're In by Ryan Hall is kind of a faith based approach to running that has a ton of valuable information in it. The Boys in The Boat is not necessarily about running, but its the story of the 1936 Olympic Rowing team. Fantastic read. Then Shoe Dog by Phil Knight is another good one. It's the story of Nike and it's more about Business than running. Still a good book. I've yet to read "Once A Runner" but I've heard great things and its sitting on my desk right now waiting for me to open it.
