@@MoorlanderEDC What about cleaning the exterior? How can I clean it? Cause I ordered a light color gravel (off white kinda) , should I return it for a darker color?
So I bought this backpack as a woman not realizing that I probably should’ve got the women’s version and then I started to get buyers remorse. I was really glad that I watched this because it kind of justified me getting it in general still even if it will be too big. I also got it for half off so that makes me regret it less. Realizing that it’s great quality makes me feel better.
That's a good point. I probably should have mentioned there was a women's version. Although, you can fit less in the female variant. Glad to hear the content helped Lex98. Have a great week 👍
I've currently got the previous borealis with the side compression straps you mention however after 3 years of ownership the elastic mesh bottle holders finally gave out and ripped after constantly holding my 750ml chillies water bottle, this versons bottle holders look far more durable! I think I'll be getting this version based on your video 👍 and happy belated birthday 🎉
What a nice review! You really put some thought on it. I had the brown model and I'm super glad to have bought this backpack. It's a great asset when I'm going to festivals, outdoors or even to the office here in the rainy city Amsterdam. Keep up the great reviews! ;)
Hey Rafa. I was in Amsterdam before lock down for my wife's birthday. It was a very cold March and we had a great time. I'm glad you enjoyed the content. I like to make sure I try to touch all bases to help people make that confident decision to make a purchase. I was toying between the brown version and this one. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I hope you have an awesome weekend. I think we're in for a warm few days :D
No way. That's awesome to hear. I watched back that content the other day just reminisce. Glad you're still watching the channel LL. Have an awesome week
Happy Birthday! I had an early version of this in the mid to late 90’s I think it was. It was my work bag for cycling and I used to put a hi viz vest under the front cord with the reflective stripe showing. I sold it after a number of years as it was just a little too big for my needs.
Hey fella. It's definitely a versatile. 28ltrs is definitely on the larger side for a general day bag. I like the spare room for those 'just in case' times 🤣 my life seems to be full of them at the moment. Thanks for watching buddy
Great review. This has cemented my decision. I've been looking around for a new pack since I like to travel with only a backpack. This one looks like a good combo for the cheapskate international traveler (I hate paying the airlines for my luggage) and weekend hiker. There is a North Face store near me, and they're currently having a 40% off sale. I'm going to go back and get the Borealis.
Hi Chris. Glad to hear the content helped. The Borealis really is a great bag for everyday use, and especially for travel. I've done dozens of on-sites with clients with this bag and it's never let me down. Thanks for watching 🤙
Hey Peachimon. Thanks you. I like to make sure I give you all the information you need. It's the type of content I enjoy watching and makes that 'here's my money' moment easier if you're more confident it's the bag for you... whilst hopefully being entertained too. Thanks again

Many Happy Returns Mate! I was North Face for a long time, but their shift to a fashion brand kind of put me off. I still like the gear, but it feels a bit generic now. Do they still do the camo design on this one?
Hey Dan. I have to agree with you to some extent. I think the brand did a cash grab move when they realised they'd make more money millennials. I think there could have been a better mix as they're only alienating fans. I think Rab, Montaine and others have got the balance right. Although... I think certain lines, like their backpacks, are still going strong. There's a lot of love for this pack, and maybe I'll pick up the OG Borealis classic to compare and contrast. All the best buddy

Happy Birthday🎂.. I have this pack but it's A few years old . fantastic pack I bought it used and carry it daily. If I could change anything about it that would be made from a slightly thicker material .because I do carry a heavier bag than most people.
Hey TT, thank you my friend. They're definitely great packs. I see what you mean about the material. I think when we're used to the likes of 500d and 1000d, a 210d ripstop does seem almost paper thin. I think like most things it's that fine balance between toughness and overall weight. Thanks SD. I've got a few more lined up in my ICONIC series Some old, and some that have already become modern day icons in a short time. Do you have a bag (backpack, satchel, sling etc) that you see as iconic? Always good to hear other's opinions
Great question, unfortunately I don't have any experience with the other two bags. If I remember rightly, the Borealis is the larger of the three which is why I chose that one. I'm more of a volume of features kinda fella. I'll make sure to pick up the other two and test them out
I can definitely say with confidence from my own personal experience travelling with this pack with work. Absolutely zero issues using it was carry on. If the measurements are slightly larger on paper, it fits within the wee box they use for dimensions and by eye they over look the odd few cm's. I hope that helps
Hi Moorlander, i had an older model of borealis and i liked the 2020 version, do you prefer the new model? Thinking in buy again. In doubt between the older and new.
HI Alexandre. Personally I prefer this version. I think the last version had a few strange design choices, whereas this one feel like the original version. I totally appreciate though that beauty is in the eye of the beholder 🤘
Hi Martin. I use bottles from a New Zealand company called Sistema. Really nice bottle. The larger ones are a square shape so easy to stack in the fridge, and the screw cap has a double thread so you can screw on with one hand. Very good value for money too
Happy Birthday! fantastic review, Thank you! I already own the original borealis but was looking to upgrade, what are the straps like on the newer version as I'm not sure on the way they are fixed to the bag? I.E are they going to be strong enough?
Thanks Adam. I hope you're well buddy. I have to say the straps feel super secure. They also have a great freedom of movement too as it's not the strap and padding that's stitched into the bag, and rather there's a thick 2" webbing that's stitched in from the strap. The previous version of the Borealis had a weird cut out which didn't seem as secure, whereas it feels like they've gone back to basic on this newer version. I hope that helps buddy
@@MoorlanderEDC on that note I might pick up this newer version then as the straps are the only thing putting me off getting one. Thank you again for a great review.
