The VF is coming together beautifully. The MCA coil overs are awesome. The braided brake lines, the new tyres will top it off. Should be a weapon on the track. 👍
Gday George, yes its coming together but Mrs Fred thinks its a money pit lol! Will save up for the braided lines over the coming weeks and then when the Koyas arrive at end July, we will be good to go!!
Thanks Caleb!! Would love to see your VF on the track and love the fact we are giving you a bit of confidence. One of the main goals of the channel is to share our ideas and inspire others into motorsport!!
Looking impressive. I'd also recommend doing the swaybars and sway bar end links. Whiteline has kits for the swaybars and endlinks. Keep up the awesome progress.
Thanks Harold. The MCA kit interestingly recommends to stick with the factory swaybars etc.. We will keep an eye on how things go and will replace of needed. Fred
You have to keep in mind that Clunie is a SSV redline, so it would have FE3 suspension with stiffer sway bars (26mm front, 28mm rear) compared to FE2 in the standard SS (iirc 25mm front, 18mm rear...that is a big difference); just to further mention, the "abnormal" spring rates of the MCA reds supplied here with the rear spring rate stiffer than the front, MCA would have definatly taken the swaybar stiffness into consideration so everything definatly works as intended. I have used whiteline adjustable swaybars on nearly everything I have owned and they are fantastic, but you don't want too stiff of a swaybar, as technically they are torsion bars connected to either side (left to right) of the suspension and having it too stiff will effect the independence of travel between the left and right side of the cars suspension.
Really well done, just one thing, just wondering how much extra pressure its going to put on the electronic power steering, i would check to see it a more stronger belt drive is available for the electronic power steering set up, just in case, that's all, other than that, she is a beast, keep up the great work and can't wait till this covid crap is over so that everyone who wants to go to the drags etc cant have their fun. 🏎🏎🏎👌🙌👍😊✌
They are some great looking shocks and with your 4 degree negative camber it should set you up for some high corner speed style driving. Go the race livery on Clunie, got to be worth at least a second a lap.👀
Gday John, absolutely. They are a game changer and we are very happy with them and the semi slicks. Have transformed the handling of the car with the camber settings also.

Hi,did u drill the hole in the rear so you can adjust them easier?
If you did, does it let water in?
So jealous of that awesome garage!
Thanks!!

Thanks Angry! Yes she corners very well now. Might keep the race livery for the snotbox.
So now that you’ve had them on for a while, would you recommend??
Pros? Cons?

Noice
Thanks for watching mate!!
Do you have to drill into the body where the top mounts on in the engine bay? Just wondering what they screw too
G'day, no drilling required, they mount right up where the factory ones were originally.
@@ClunieGarage cheers mate legend looking to upgrade to these from xyz in my ve ss
Do you find that the brembo are a bit sqeeky
