This is true. We just moved back, Unfortunately due to these same EXACT issues with immigration and the countries Visa policies. We started a business which took about 5k. It was not a smooth process because of all the “chi” money and lower-level corruption. In addition, Tanzania doesn’t really have the business infrastructure to support a developing business (Water issues/municipalities, internet, literacy). I feel the country is making moves to improve, but the people aren’t willing to change. I feel they have leadership problems (Not The President). What I mean by this is those in leadership positions abuse their power and are very selfish. This makes it hard for a country to change. Tanzania was and is a beautiful place, but we will only be back to visit for now.

I am a Tanzanian teaching here in the USA. I have been following you and I know how sincerely you wanted to live in Tanzania. This testimony of yours carries a lot of weight. I am sorry that things turned out that way. But I do want to start my own campaign to alert fellow Tanzanians and our Immigration authorities to the problem you are talking about. In fact, I was invited by African Americans in Arusha in January, this year, to talk about cultural challenges in the global village, and we had a great meeting. Afterwards, they also told me about difficulties with immigration.
Thank you for all the things you have, through your UA-cam channel, taught foreigners about our country. Again, I appreciate your honest statement of our problems, because you provide an opportunity for us to rectify our immigration system.

@@airbus380a6 you say the biggest issue is TZ refusing dual citizenship. I am not sure that is the case, and it would be a good idea to have a full discussion of the matter. By the way, there are many countries that refuse dual citizenship, and it is not right to make TZ seem like the only country doing so. We need a serious and open discussion of the issue.

The two countries in East Africa what might be easier to assimilate and do business for ppl coming from the States would be Kenya and Rwanda. For West Africa Ghana for sure. You won't get that immigration hassle like what you have in Tanzanian and Nigeria is a good option if you are about your business. South Africa would be a good option too specifically jo'burg.

When I first knew I wanted to go to Africa, I didn't know which country I would go to. Tanzania was the first country to spark my imagination. But after watching a bunch of videos I realized a couple of things. 1. Immigration is terrible. 2. Its bad enough that it seems that they don't want us there. And they also aren't really inviting us there. I wasn't married to the idea of Tanzania so I very quickly decided to make things simple for myself. Why not go where they've actually invited me. Ghana. So that's where I went. A lot of people are applying for residency there and getting it, and if I can't do that then it makes little sense for the president to repeatedly ask us to return to Ghana. It's too bad that more countries aren't reaching out to us, but I think they will if our return to Ghana becomes a success story. And I believe that it will.

Chinese, Lebanese, Indians, Europeans are all doing very well almost everywhere in Afreeca. I mean VERY WELL. Because there is more than enough money to make on the motherland and to live your best life there .Only afreecans from the diaspora don't succeed.
    WHY?
Many don't do their homework or not enough, most of them are looking for the same confort they used to enjoy in Amerikkka or Europe. They don't want to learn how thinks are working over there, and adapt. The consequences are deception and nightmares.

We have more than 120 000 American expatriates working and doing business in SA with little or no adjustment. We have challenges but we don't shy away away from problems and burry our heads in the sand we engage our government head on. We don't rubbish other countries to make ourselves look good instead we roll our sleeve and earnestly try to resolve them. With your mentality your country has a long way to go. South Africans are very proud and we don't use foreigners as cash cows to be milked dry. Apartheid struggle thought us to be resilient and fearless. And indeed we are fearless and don't take nonsense from nobody. So many reasons, some areas don't in the USA don't have internet connections or cell phone towers (they're off grid). I encourage you to talk or get in touch with the right people in any country you intend to invest in. I'm really so sorry you were not able to invest in Tanzania as per your aspirations and its so sad you lost real money in this quest for a good business opportunity. Please if you can get in touch with me. I'll try to help you.

@@LilithsCosmicLounge TRUE But America is the main reason for all the wars in the world. Karma is real. And this is biblical prophecy. Everybody is waking up to the enemy and is distancing themselves from America. When I say America, I am talking about the whites in charge not the innocent citizens who have no clue what's going on or the people who joined the military thinking they were standing up for something good, while being totally unaware that they were being trained and brainwashed to harm other innocent people of color. The West is the bully on the playground and their time of raping, stealing, killing and abusing is up! They have been putting people of color against each other but people are waking up and coming together, hence the year of return.

Is it best to purchase a home in Africa with cash and travel on the visa to & from the States every three month's? Is it true you can only purchase a home in Africa if you have a business in Africa? Any recommendations on reputable African Realtors? Any established home buying websites in Africa?

Purchasing a home, depends on what country you are living in and not at the moment

If you still think it makes sense to ask this kind of question for Africa in general, then you probably haven't made your most basic homework yet. There are 54 independent countries in Africa, with vast differences between them. Plus two countries that are not (fully) internationally recognized. Plus about a dozen territories that are legally still part of European countries (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, UK). Any advice you get for the bureaucracy of one country will be valid for that country only. And any African realtor that operates in more than one country will probably be targeting diplomats and the super rich only.

@@johaquila wow you are really ignorant. First and foremost Africa is a Continent not a "Country". And who are you to make an assumption on other's finances? Next time hold your thoughts and keep your opinion to yourself!
