The Dave Clark Five was my first band of the 60's. Their hit singles were mostly great including the ones that didn't chart so high. I also liked their albums. I owned them all. Not all great but you can always find a handful of excellent album tracks on each one of them. And don't forget their "B" sides. Many were as good or nearly as good as the "A" sides. My favorites were "Doctor Rhythm", "Sitting Here Baby", "Good Time Woman" and "Inside and Out". I really like that "Legend of Xanadu" song which I had never heard before. Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich never had much success in the U.S. In fact they never made the top 40 singles chart.
Loved The Dave Clark Five - my pre Beatles band along with The Honeycombs. Great to hear them again. The Legend of Xanadu was also a great song from our youth but I don’t hear it often so thanks for playing it today.

Curious to hear how they decided to add the gunshots to Xanadu.
Hi and thanks for the comment, keep them coming. The gunshot was a milk bottle on the guitar strings.
