I saw another UA-cam video on this factory. I was pleased to learn that Yamaha (Japan) built the factory from the ground up and all the personnel were trained by Yamaha's Japanese artisans. That seems way better than merely finding a place "that will do" and employing some folks to do the work.
I own two Yamaha guitars and love them both . My acoustic I've had since I was 12 and I'm now 53 . Plays like butter but starting to resemble Willie Nelsons Trigger a bit LOL !!!
Hello! could you tell me a little about the guitar Yamaha SG-200. especially about the timing of its release, and the factory in which it was made? It may even be possible to find people who were at the assembly line?
Amazing and fantastic! I bought me one CPX 700 II and I wonder if he endure the string voltages (12:12 - 053), (0:12 to 12:56) or 0:13. I am using in my CPX 700 strain (0:12 to 0:56) and the tone was super wild, full-bodied and powerful bass. Can I use the voltage (0:12 to 0:56) on my guitar CPX 700? I impeccable construction and finish of the Yamaha guitars. I am a follower and fan of the Yamaha guitars.
nice to know that a cute pretty chinese girl helped to make my yamaha guitar i never knew girls in china were making yamaha guitars ..now everytime i play my yamaha guitar i'll smile a bit longer knowing a cute chinese girl worked hard to make me happy :)
Thanks for the info. Good to get a resp[onse from someone who has actually been there.I feel a little better about it. This post has me actually looking at getting another SGB in the future. thanks:):)
IDK, it just looks like a lot of the workers look a bit un -happy. But they make great guitars. I watched a show a little while back that showed some of the bad conditions in Chinese factories. I am not sure this place is like that though. I had a Yamaha SGB 2000 once. I loved it! Wish i never sold it.
Just a little bit tired of the made in America nonsense. There are earnest diligent factory workers in every corner of the globe. Those most adamant against Asian and Mexican products describe their fervor almost with racist undertones. For instance, no one belittles European products. Yet, people of color are denigrated. The template for building musical instruments i.e. Guitars, is definitely not a secret. I have owned a few Yamaha guitars and was quite impressed with both the quality and reasonable price.
Its not nonsense. Guitars have been made longer in the US than anywhere else...unless you consider hand crafted Spanish guitars. I don't have anything against guitars made in other countries. However, these workers get paid s*^t...do you want to support that? I will be the first to say that Japanese and Korean made guitars are generally amazing products. But its because they have been doing it for a long while...like US builders, and Mexican builders. The draw back to Chinese guitars is that they haven't been doing it that long...so they are cheap and inferior. They are a logical choice for entry level guitars, but then you better be o.k. with the fact that the workers work their faces off for nearly nothing. If you can't tell already...I'm a little bit tired of people bad mouthing American workers.
BTW AndysMusicOnline, in my opinion this video would be much better with some classy acoustic guitar music underneath. As it is, I find the soundtrack to be distracting and a little bit disorienting (no pun intended). Otherwise, thanks for posting this!
No love in this kind of guitar making(mass production). The test playing was almost nothing. A girl doesn't play any chords just one string. But she measured all the caps. I have one Yamaha guitar APX-6NA it is ok but Made in Taiwan ?
wow, is this video supposed to be good for Yamaha? Because I have never seen workers disliking their job more. No passion, no pride, not a single smiling worker in this factory. All sad faces. wow!
Next time... find uniform for any yamaha factory. In China, you can find any brand for your any instrument as cadillac guitar. Tào lao, kiếm đồng phục cho công nhân rồi nói chuyện tiếp. Bất kỳ nhà máy nào lớn thì đồng phục sẽ có tên sản phẩm...
You think Yamaha is so great?I'll tell you that they sometimes use machines to dry wood instead of letting it dry itself!....cheap and mass produced...
I know what you mean. Needless to say, Japanese artisans are far more skillful than Chinese ones. However, Japan is one of the highest labor cost countries in the world. Hence, I think it is not strange for Yamaha to have made a factory in China which is one of the lowest labor cost countries in the world. Even Chinese people can make high quality products if they are under Japanese managers.

Yamaha guitars are good well made and not over priced like a lot of Gibson or Fender stuff out there.

nice to know that a cute pretty chinese girl helped to make my yamaha guitar i never knew girls in china were making yamaha guitars ..now everytime i play my yamaha guitar i'll smile a bit longer knowing a cute chinese girl worked hard to make me happy :)
Yamaha has many overseas factories due to the labor cost.

To me this seems like a hand built guitar?

Looks like they got it down to a science, no skill required.
