The first channel we'll review is the horizontal channel - a channel is formed when we draw a line touching the highs and another line touching the lows. The characteristic of a channel is that the lines are drawn in parallel. We also have the ascending channel in the form of an ascending triangle or a descending channel in the form of a descending triangle.
On the horizontal channel price is banging its head on the resistance level. The theory is to sell at the top of the channel and buy at the bottom of the channel.

yeah, mixing short with long messes up with the mind and tend to cause revenge trading when one direction is wrong and causing more losses on another direction. either short only or long only.
