All our supermarkets were local. Thrifty with the 20 cent ice cream cones. If you know about “ The candy man” ice cream truck….. then your from my era……. All our schools are local as well. Hillcrest, Audubon, then Dorsey. They can easily be turned into condos. All the kids would be outside on Xmas with their new bikes, and skates. If kids got mad, they would pop- lock against each other. We also had beautiful palm trees everywhere. I don’t know none of these kids. Their probably the grandkids of the people I grew up with…,., they really missed out on a fun filled life . Life was good..,…. God bless you all. White folks are dying to take over that area.
