They really dedicated this song to Sheffield, because I don't see them playing this very much in other concerts. And you know what? I can't even be mad. This song is special.
Yes, I wanted them to play it at the Foro Sol (CDMX), but they didn't, but I understand it, they wanted their concert in Sheffield to be special and there's no better way than to make it special by playing A Certain Romance only there
@@sharinglungs3226I don’t think it’s trash, well everyone has different preferences and tastes, I think they’re trying to emulate concept albums like Pink Floyd. But I still think the earlier albums are better, it just feels raw, and full of stories from their younger days. I think The Car is meant to be a reflection on themselves and how far they’ve gone, and exploring the fact that Alex Turner has writers block while writing the album. I think change is good, I would rather have diverse genres across multiple albums than multiple albums of the same genre and lyrics.
If I get to see this and Mardy Bum in America, I'm gonna be so happy! Never got to see either of those two songs live, and I've been listening since the first album. Fingers crossed!
Was quite far back, but 40,000 people 'do-do-do'ing along to the opening guitar around me is something I'm not gonna forget any time soon. As magnetic now as they've ever been.

This song has been with me my whole life. Middle school, highschool, college and to this day in my late 20’s. And to this day it makes me feel the same way I’m greatful for this band, their music and their love for performing. Much love from Puerto Rico. I hope to see them live one fay.
WHAT THE HELL I THOUGHT THEY DIDNT PLAY THIS SOMG ANYMORE IF I WAS THERE I WOULD HAVE CRIED IM CRYING NOW OMG. The crowd singing the guitar part omg. I love this song. I HAVE CHILLS I CANNOT GET OVER THIS I LOVE THEM
I think this performance is proof that they’re starting to get a fondness for playing some of the old stuff again. That little smile between Alex and Jamie at one point just proves it. I’m one of those people that loves the new stuff and thinks it’s amazing, but I can’t deny the persona that Alex puts on means he inevitably looks a bit more distant than he used to. This performance had shades of that dorky 19-year old showing through and it was so endearing.
Yo viajé desde México para esto. El mejor concierto de mi vida de mi banda favorita desde finales de 2006. La vibra de ese concierto fue mágica pero que iniciaran con esa canción...
@@Del213 No it’s not. They are now grown men not boys. If they were still doing the same old stuff they would be stuck in a rut. Evolving and changing is the way to go. The concert tonight was the best live concert I have ever seen with old and new mixed together. Totally outstanding

My favorite song! A shiver throughout the whole video, the beggining of the song and the solo... seems like they're 19 again... They hadn't fully played it since 2013 PLEASE DO THIS IN PORTUGAL
They could have just played this and gone home and it would have been worth it. As soon as i heard those drums kick in i was happy, not as big of a fan as i used to be but this song will forever be amazing
This made me so emotional especially when I saw them smiling cause they probably were looking back to the old times when they played this. They grew up too fast😭
How more iconic can it get, monkeys in Sheffield. As a local you tell people on your travels where you’re from: Sheffield.. where’s that? where arctic monkeys and stainless steel are from ❤
Regrettably I wasn't on the ball enough to fathom the influence of their debut when it dropped or popular/likeable enough to understand why my peers connected with it so much - but I understand now why this song is a favourite - those chords after the intro are so warm and heartbreakingly nostalgic, I've been playing this on repeat ever since getting home 😊 and so gorgeous seeing them play with those rolling green hills in the background 🌳😌 hope you all had a good time 😎

Honestly this wasn't incredible. Alex Turner probably spoke 30 words maximum for the entire concert. Best he could do was a few almost sarcastic sounding "fantastic"s every now and then. Didn't talk to the crowd at all. I understand they just don't do that as a band, I'm fine with that. But like the guy before said, you should see more concerts
Had my eyes on the saturday tickets for the presale but by the time I got through they were gone so had to get friday ones instead even though I had two big exams on the day, this is my favourite song of all time and the only date they played it just happened to be friday, 09/06, so special❤️
I was at the riverside gig last Monday. Was the best gig ever been to but wish they played this there. But we heard cornerstone as an opener so I guess the makes you for it!
This makes me so happy to see since a few months ago for laughs I decided to email their manager and ask them to play this song live at for their north america tour and he actually answered and said he liked the idead and would tell the monkeys. Cant believe they actually did it.
