Taimundo Then aim for the brain! He self-described as an "evil meteor", so maybe the cop saw a seemingly stone brain/body and chose to try aiming for the more vulnerable eye?
When I was a kid, I was fascinated with anatomy. I learned a ton about the brain. So when I watched this episode, it scared the crap outta me, because I understood that a person is their brain, and every organ interacts though it. I also understood some philosophy, like how individual life is precious, and the old man and baby being "de-brained" made me stop watching the show because it made me physically sick because of how scary I thought it was 😂
Ok so like, I had never seen the show before and then I saw this episode and my fear of early 00's Cartoon Network stayed in my subconscious for years. Couldn't explain it, it was just deeply uncomfortable. I've always been particularly affected by music so I'm blaming Voltaire for this one.

Well you got to remember Billy doesn't have a brain which was why the meteor used him to get people who had them. Stupid levels on this guy are to be expected.
The cop pulling out his gun and trying to unload it on the alien is a nice touch. Something about it makes the conflict more ominous… for him to have such a reaction suggests that the town of Endsville isn’t filled entirely with total morons, which means Billy must be at least somewhat good at manipulating people into following him to their doom
That violin is one of those things that your brain randomly remembers years and decades later. And that leads you here.

It's actually crazy how creepy and uncanny this song is like whoever made this really knocked it out of the park that violin is so eerie and fitting.
That would be Voltaire, he's a master of creepy and spooky music!
Voltaire = Based
The fact that Billy cares more about Mandy than his entire family, Irwin, and the rest of Endsville. I love that for him.
He did show some concern for Irwin though
He purposely didn't bring her to the brain because he knew she'd try stop it
This song was such a nostalgia trip. I’m actually seeing the guy who performed this live next month
He still sings?
Good for him
@@AndrewUchiha4747 yeah his name is Aurelio Voltaire.
At his shows he plays both this song and Land of the Dead.
He also runs his own merch table so you’re able to meet him and get his autograph.
You know Michael Jackson was a musical genius when you can put his dance moves in any music genre and it fits perfectly.
Billy's dad having a brain is the biggest plot twist
To be fair, Billy's dad wasn't an idiot at the start.
Later episode showed he has his brain in his pompadour instead of his head.
I mean, he was accepted into Harvard.
He has a brain in one episode , he took it out through his nose and ate it :)
I’m a full grown man yet I still remember and love this.
Rofl
Haha this was my favorite episode and it did freak me out a bit and the song was catchy
Do you know what season or movie this was ib
+kenny mccormick in* sorry this thing ate my brain
S1 I just put Billy and Mandy brain
This was my favorite episode too as a kid and I do love how catchy this song is
Joshreaper Rodriguez my favorite was the episode with the wishing skull. I loved how the bunny tried to straight murder puddin with a truck.
Our cartoons were dark...
You Forget A 1000 Things A Day but thats what made them sooo good
+J K
*E D G E*
That why they where great
honestly this doesn't seem *that* dark, I mean it's dark but it seems completely tolerable for kids
Ikr
The show did an amazing job with the Thriller inspired dance. (Officially at 3:47) Billy sure may not have a brain, but got sure has moves
2:55 That cop's got Stormtrooper aim, how the fuck did he miss?!
Stormtrooper training
lmao right? I thought the same thing
He was scared shitless, stupid
Arnel Andrada that cop needs to get his shit together
A retired stormtrooper
The thing that surprised me here is the fact that Billy's dad actually had a brain.
Edward Diaz the weirdest thing about his dad is that he was a navy seal and I’m being dead serious about that and he graduated from Harvard
Sherbader Wtf...
Kristen Mars I don't think he was originally meant to be stupid...
That was probably just a later attempt at humor because of his appearance (pick the fat parent to be an idiot).
yeah its in that pompadour hair thing of his
In the first season, Billy's dad was actually intelligent. Later on, however, the creators changed him.
When you are hired to write a song for a cartoon episode, and instead turn the episode itself into an entire music video.
That thing must have sucked the brains out of Cartoon Network execs before they greenlit the new powerpuff girls and teen titans go.
You must get made fun of a lot with the last name "Nigro".
yeah at first they thought it was deranged but they didn't think twice when they didn't have brians
Dan Nigro that explains so much
Dan Nigro I cannot like your comment enough.
Only makes sense since they only had GREEN, in their eyes
I guess that cop was never taught to aim for the body.
He went to a Stormtroopers bootcamp
the alien didn't have body, just a brain.
x-com rng system
Taimundo Then aim for the brain!
He self-described as an "evil meteor", so maybe the cop saw a seemingly stone brain/body and chose to try aiming for the more vulnerable eye?
Or anything.
You would make for an excellent Troper
Same!!! This episode haunted me for weeks
No one like this so it stays at 69
Same! This episode spooked me so much as a kid that I stopped watching the show. It haunted me for quite some time, but now I’m obsessed with the song.
3:14 Jesus, so Billy's dad had a brain? That's something considering how the son doesn't have a brain.
There was another time it was in his hair and someone cut it off
+Whammy Cheng This was in the first season when Billy's dad had some sentience.
Yeah Billy's father was basically average in terms of intelligence in the earlier episodes.
antoine Holmes Havard of all places if you wanna be more specific.
don rob777 Also a time when he picked his nose and pulled it iut
Billy by stylin in that suit
Fire Hedgehog Billy be stylin
*be
He can really pull off a red Zoot Suit.
He looks like alucard in that suit
It must have given him a bonus to his charisma which helped him convice so many people to just follow him to the alien
This is literally the plot of Stranger Things season 3 lmao, a boy named Billy rounding up everyone from the town for a giant monster so he can absorb their brains (and bodies and stuff I guess lol)
Facts LMFAO
Holy sh%t. Can’t believe that flew past me.
I wonder which one did it better, I’d say the one with the groovy song. 😅
This is a parody of Little shop of horrors
Yoooo I was just thinking the same thing hahahaahah.
Can't believe I've just forgotten about this for like 20 years or so, and then when I heard it again today - the memory of the song came back with the first few seconds, incredible
Aurelio Voltaire is such an amazing singer I love his voice sm
He's back in Big Boogey Adventure. :D
Lol anyone else here after seeing Classicman D’s video about this song?
But I think this song is responsible for awakening my love for this music genre as a kid. Thanks Billy & Mandy for my music taste 😂 👍🏼
I'm the James Mercer that made him think about this song because of Dracula
Yes
Lmao Michael Jackson Thriller Dance
A nice parody of Thriller
TheMegalion With Voltire music
Ah, when creativity ran through studios.
Actually this was a Little shop of horrors reference
Also this whole scene is just a Voltaire song
Zablu Doki Adventure time Regular Show and The Amazing world of gumball are still some of their newer best shows even though regular show ended
@@Kozu_the_Tiger TAWOG is a crazy show. It is enjoyable but the show is too crazy
@@Kozu_the_Tiger I got bad news for you from the future
Thank you Classic Man D for reminding me my favorite childhood song
Same! Dude reminded me about this bop
Fuck yes. 😂 I enjoy the fact that it’s a loose reference to the little shop of horrors
What does that mean
One of the best songs from Billy and Mandy
One of the best songs period
This song is a banger years down the line. 2022 and it sits rent free in my head.
Same
Same bro
This was one of the best episodes, it was an hour long special I think
Normally I hate animated singing but this is one of the very few exceptions. I friggin' love this song!
Notsuzpicious this is the rare occasion of GOOD music, good instrumental that u can listen without it sounding silly, and a song that isn't so innocent :3
Notsuzpicious agreed
It's a long about brains. It's pretty silly.
Voltaire makes such good songs
Classic Man D really unlocked a core memory with this one
This scared the living hell out of me as a kid
This freaked me out when I was a kid.
Yeah me too
Its crazy how catchy it is.
Man, after all these years my brain still snapped to the lyrics. Love this show!
Anyone else thinking "FEED ME SEYMORE!!!!!"
That's the reference.
I wasn't, but now I am.
Oh hi Lux, I know you from Golden's streams
So THIS where Stranger Things got the plot for Season 3. Especially since the added bonus is the character that does this in that shown is ALSO named Billy.
This song has been in the back of my head since I was a child.
Same this alien used to creep me out especially with the music, i felt bad for the old man lol
I feel sorry for the old man 😢
Pure Voltaire, such nostalgia.. and *!!!BRAINS!!! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻*
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this song.........BRAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Gibby kickass
I THOUGHT IT WAS VOLTAIRE!
Gibby kickass It actually took me years to realize it was Voltaire when growing up and when I started looking up to him and being a part of the Gothic subculture a friend of mine who looks up to him as well told me this was indeed Aurelio Voltaire.
This was actually the first Voltaire song I had ever heard..got me to look up more of his stuff once someone told me the artist while I was in school.
Came for the nostalgia, stayed because this is a BOP!
That violin is just so good
I remember seeing Voltaire in concert and him singing this song
One of the greatest musical numbers in children's tv, and one of the greatest moments in tv animation.
Such an Iconic episode I remember watching this after watching Hector Con Carne Cartoon Network held the crown in the early 2000’s with that Grim & Evil
Memories before cartoon network turned to shit. that was a long time ago before the fire nation attacked.
Steven universe is still good doe
I remember watching over and over when I was 5
+The Legend of U We were younger then, our mark of quality required a much lower standard.
The legend in the making 1994, More like before Stuart Snyder and Christina Miller each began their respective reigns of terror.
Tyrone Paul Avatar reference lol
watching in 2017.....refreshing some memories for the brain
Talal Ahmed I'm watching it in 2018 and it's just as good
@@pintypints 2021?
@@matte3348 of course
This song’s still a banger all these years later
You know that sometimes when you make up stories they become realities? Maxwell Atoms accidentally unleashed this beast onto modern Cartoon Network.
“They’re so delectable especially the small ones”
*FBI OPEN UP*
Huh? Wha!? What the!?
Voltaire is a mastermind with the violin. He even specifically made the song 5 minutes because that was the commission time.
These kind of things for me are so bitter sweet. Like the nostalgia trip is awesome but it also makes me realize they’ll never be a time like the early 2000 ever again.
awesome childhood memories right here
The craziest thing about this is I *distinctly* remember hating this song when I first heard it as a kid. Now this type of music is right up my alley. Fricking love Voltaire.
This was such a jam
Damn. I miss this Cartoon Network when we didn’t have to worry about kids being so sensitive.
Aerin Atkins it's not really the kids but their parents.
CreepyAnime my parents where too cool they let me watch family guy..
Makayla Cunning *SAME ASF*
Makayla Cunning same here they let me even watch robot chicken
Goddamn Kens and Karens for parents.
Thank you ClassicMan D for reminding me that this goated song exists
Who's watching this in 2016 I fucking loved this show
+brandon Costello i am...
I love this show and yea lol
one show i hope cartoon network doesn't ruin by remaking like with teen titans
+PressLeftRightAndCheat agreed or new power puff girls I hope they bring back this show or courage the cowardly dog
+brandon Costello I wouldn't mind reruns.
Did anyone notice Billy literally forgot what a brain was in like five seconds?
Jon Hunt he’s supposed to be stupid
Well you got to remember Billy doesn't have a brain which was why the meteor used him to get people who had them. Stupid levels on this guy are to be expected.
Well, duh. He's obviously supposed to be INCREDIBLY comically stupid.
Mistress Kixen He must have a super complex nervous system...
Who would win?
1 alien growing in size to about the size of a house eating everyone's brains and zombifying every human.
1 agro little girl.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Grim
Aggro Chick every time ~
Little girl
Billy's voice sounds a lot like Zim's. Probably the same voice actor.
Richard Horwitz. It is the same actor
Rutin Acuzza Okay, thank you.
Shadow シャドウ ザ ヘッジホッグ yeah the voice actor is also voicing chaos(skylanders)
Shadow シャドウ ザ ヘッジホッグ it is
And also Alpha 5 from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
