For over 35 years I had to go up Vancouver Island to get to my annual meditation retreat with my long time teachers. Always went through Victoria and it became one of my specital places. Been to the Empress many times; it looked a lot different before they remodled it--much more Olde English than it does now. Been to Butchart Gardens at least a half dozen times and it's alwqays so incredible. That log cabin watchtower at the top of the steps was always a must do for me. Next time you go, be sure to hit Chinatown, which is a nice little walk from the ferry terminal. There's a alley where the entrance is only wide enough for one person and once you're inside there it's incredible. Before you get to Chinatown is a great irish bar that makes you feel like you're in Dublin. Don't know if you saw the musical tribute vlog I did for Debbie, but one of the photos is of her on that bronze horse art piece at Butchart. Thanks so very, very much for taking me back there. ♥
Thanks for your video. Years ago I went to Victoria island with my parents. Brought back memories. Thanks

Did you take your casita over on the ferry?
Hi, we didn’t ferry the Casita over. We just did a day trip. 😀
They allow casual dress for high tea? Years ago you had to wear dresses, hat fircwimen, and coat and tie for men. Things have changed
