  • This lesson continues the series on how to write a research paper. Specifically, this lesson shows how students can use both libraries and the internet resources to find scholarly and popular sources.
    Featured is a discussion on how to use three databases: GALE OneFile and EBSCO (Blinn College Library), and the Library of Congress. The lesson also instructs students on how to use Google Scholar and also how to use Boolean Operators on Google.

    So a source would be any of this options? I chose to get the book physical in Blinn for my research paper, but my teacher said it is only from two sources. No one can seem to explain to me if it is only one book or two since she said two sources. What would she mean with that?

      A book would be one source. However, it--like your research paper--will probably be compiled from multiple sources.
      If I misunderstood your question, my apologies. I do have another video in which I describe what are sources and how to evaluate those sources. You can find it at this link: ua-cam.com/video/mKSPyhjO-G0/v-deo.html

      Great to hear it. I assume that you are in college based upon your subject. I would go to your library and see what databases they have available. I would marine there are medical-specific databases that would help you.

    I'm a Nigerian, is there anyway i can get access to the school's Libra without signing in to a student account?

    • @rueschhoffteaches
      @rueschhoffteaches  6 місяців тому +1

      Sorry for the late reply. Generally a school’s resources will be available just for their students as it can be costly. Other public libraries are another place to seek and see if they provide database accesses. Thanks for watching.

      What is your subject? What level of class (high school/college)? Have you looked at Google Scholar, your school’s library resources, etc?
