    Mike Brown definitely wasn't the problem

    Spurs fan, so not bias or skin in the Sacramento game..
    Mike Brown was the most consistent thing that’s happened to the Kings in a long time.
    Getting rid of him is a real head scratcher. He was venting because his disgruntled player honored a directive and did exactly what he wasn’t supposed to.
    Another head scratcher: trading for DeMar DeRozan. He’s a great player that doesn’t fit in with most NBA lineups.
    Spacing. Refusing to shoot any threes at all.
    Last headscratcher:
    Getting rid of Harrison Barnes. He’s a great calming presence and model of consistency.

      Barnes was trash. Least consistent player we had. The issue was Demar couldn't be the only move. We've said for years we need wings and Monte hasn't gotten them.

      @ He’s playing great for us. Great locker room presence too. Best part is we got him free.
      So, curious… and sincerely, who else would you have added with DeRozan?

      @@timskaggs3762 Any number of guys could make the Kings better. I felt that Naji Marshall should've been a guy we were after. Could've used the 13th pick on Da Silva, Knecht, Dunn, Holmes etc. There were ways to add length to the roster and Monte has continually sat on his hands. Demar is not a bad addition, but in a vacuum it just isn't a needle mover.

    The Sacramento Kings just became The Sacramento Kings all over again. I really should’ve held onto Mike. I thought they had learned their lesson.

    I see a lot of people saying this isnt mike browns fault. He is a BIG part of it. Hes been awful this season. Touted as a defensive minded coach but gives random dnps to keon ellis, isaac jones, our best rim protector alex len.
    Hes been TERRIBLE. He has clearly lost the locker room.
    However, firing him in this disrespectful fashion is NOT ok.

    They let Mike Brown do a full interview session with the local media before giving him the old heave ho? Not exactly the classiest move, is it? Mike Brown will get paid. But, this is not a good look for the franchise.

      Saying his words don’t matter and wouldn’t change anything about the last play is acting like a baby? Y’all fans are weird as hell. All that mattered is his response to the LOCKER ROOM and it’s clear it was the right one by Keegan’s presser today. Ohhhhh gooood please us fans 🥹

      He threw a tantrum at Draymond and Rich Paul's command. It'll happen again and again and again. They just want to laugh while they trick him into tanking his team.

    Why wait? Fox will not be here for long, Why wait? His value is higher before he asks to be traded. I say, start the bidding war for him and go get what you can to build around Domas!

    • @itsabouttthattime
      @itsabouttthattime 23 години тому +1

      Yeah, this was the exact wrong move. Fox's value is high and he just cratered the team by throwing a fit because Draymond Green and Rich Paul are in his ear.
      This is gonna happen over and over until we move Fox. Green has an easy string to pull to keep an opponent off-balance and he's going to keep pulling it.
      I don't even wanna root for these tantruming backstabbers now.

    Talking about how Mike won COTY and then lasted barely longer than Luke Walton is because THIS FANBASE SUCKS. Full Stop. So many people putting pressure on the front office to fire him and make changes when they actually have no clue what is best. We PANICK at the slightest adversity and have no patience. I AGREE that the season was quickly heading the wrong direction, but I do not agree that this was the correct FIRST move to make

    • @WizardJon
      @WizardJon 22 години тому

      What should be the CORRECT MOVE or SOLUTION?

    • @Flava_Dave
      @Flava_Dave 22 години тому +1

      @WizardJon making trades first before firing that coach that you just extended and had gotten you to the playoffs. Mike was not perfect by any means, they were going backwards, especially in close games, but they handed him a time bomb essentially with this roster and asked him to be competitive in the West with very little pieces that fit a competitive play style. You keep the coach that has had recent success because it's one less moving piece to figure out the puzzle. They want to capitalize on Fox's window, but you still shouldn't panic. Should've made the trades and assessed in the off-season if there needed to be a massive reshuffling

    The roster is just unfortunately under sized. Firing brown doesn’t solve that and only just cements us as Kangz. Even if brown was “not fit” for the team you should part ways after the season is over imo. We just have to see how this plays out now. I don’t like the firing I just think the core problems are still there. We will see though what happens

    Is it possible that after coach Brown called out Fox, that he did not like it and he decided to provide the straw that broke the camel's back? Sounds crazy, but could that be why he made the most bonehead play of his career?
