My 2024 Kodiak 450 does the same thing sometimes when cold, it'll stall right away then run fine the second time. I've read stories about it being common so it's not really an issue it seems, just a quirk. Also, it's a good idea to every 1k or so pull the cover and clean the dust/dirt out of the clutch/belt cover and periodically regrease the clutch rollers. There's no intake filter on the CVT air intake and if you ride in dusty environments it builds up over time in the grease.
I just picked up a 2025 grizzly. Kinda wanted a Suzuki but couldn’t find a dealer that would take my dirtbike on trade. But I’m glad I got the grizzly now. The new power steering is so easy. My wife loves it. I got a new 520 Honda door shift also,1985 big red and 1986 Honda ATC 350x. My dad got a 520 also and a new can am 700. It’s a nice bike also but I’m unsure on it yet. Needs to prove itself. Love to get some ride time on a Suzuki but hear the power steering is not the greatest and hard cold starting
I have a new 750 king quad and a grizzly like this (2021) the grizzly is the better trail machine. The king quad is a better work machine. Both are great but the Suzuki isn’t as plush and heavier power steering for sure.
@ I had a 2009 grizzly i bought new. Only had it a few years. My dad had a 2015 he bought new and I rode it some. I mostly wanted a king quad just for a change. And I figured the 700 can am pro is still kinda new. Either way the new grizzly power steering is amazing compared to the Honda 520.
From all countless online research i’ve done the ps on the KQ sucks compared to the grizzly. overall build quality on the KQ is better then the grizzly . way less gaps all around and the foot wells on the grizzly are very brittle with out extra protection. performance wise the grizzly slightly edges out the Kq with better ps and suspension . The KQ in the green or red is colour molded into the plastic’s vs being painted plastic’s like on the grizzly and custom painted KQ
I’m having a heck of a time deciding on a KQ 750, grizzly or trying out the new 2025 can am 850 with the 1000cc engine. I want something that will last a long time without major problems or a machine that i have to work on every weekend. hearing you say everything that’s leaking and that weird noise has me concerned . How’s the painted body holding up
I believe the reason you may be experiencing that damp effect is due to the oil your using. I really recommend the Pro Honda 10W30 for the majority of the year, and the 5W30 when colder, and even the Pro Honda 0W30 for the extreme cold. Some synthetic oil additives can eat at your seals. I would consider replacing the gaskets, and going back the Yamalube, and Pro Honda oil. They will work, and last just fine with their oils. Pro Honda oil is good oil. I know people have used their conventional oil in their 300’s for 30yrs, and the 300 is still beating. I don’t see any reason to try anything else. Some synthetics simply aren’t good for wet clutches. Shell changed their T6 oils, and they are no longer approved for wet clutch designs.
Shell rotella has changed formula due to regulations multiple times in the last 10 years I wouldn’t run it anymore in the power sports stuff like the grizzly semisynthetic yamalube and never look back or Honda has some good atv oils my friend works at a Yamaha dealer said some full synthetics don’t play well with them but hey will see
Glad you’re back!!
Hell yeah. Glad you’re back. Let’s see a video on the rubicon
It's been really hot here in Sweden too, normally it's snow now! Let's see how January and February will be! Honda foreman wants to go out and work!
Same in Estonia.
Interesting … It’s freezing in northern NJ in US …
Been really cold here on the east coast of Canada with a fair bit of snow

Pit a hmf titan and hmf fuel programmer and you eazly gain 15+hp on grizzlys 20+ with a ehs air box as well
Been waiting 👍🏻👍🏻
I wound up getting a pioneer 520 while you were taking your UA-cam break. Took it on a 110mile ride the first weekend I had it haha, hauls logs good

I'm second owner of my 2011 grizzly 700 it had 7600km when I got it and now its close to 14000km still running strong. I hope that helps you decide

My 06 Rubicon got grinding shifting sometimes.
Plowing with the Grizzly and more 6.7 and some on the 7.3 would be great!

UA-cam- Grizzly 'One Way Bearing" likely your grinding sound. Not a big issue, but will need fixed soon for summer riding
I need to pick your brain some. How can i up and leave NC and move to the beautiful big sky country? Lol
