This is the best OE band I've discovered in a minute. Most of the bands that play this fest appear to be shitty, interchangeable grind bands that all suck and sound alike--and I'm old enough to remember the days when in the underground you could tell bands apart because they had sounds of their own as opposed to having to guess which band was which, since these days they all sound alike. These guys remind me of early Death, Obituary, and Pestilence, which is not a bad thing at all, and those vocals are awesome--definitely Jeff Becerra and Martin Van Drunen influence, there. As someone else mentioned, they take all that and make it sound fresh again, and I give them credit for that. What's old is new, I suppose.
I’ve been a fan of Skeletal Remains for about 4 years now, there’s a reason why they are one of my favorite bands. Have a signed cymbal by them and I got to talk to Chris before their set! Such a cool dude and a phenomenal band. Keeping OSDM alive!😈🤘💥🪦
Chuck would prob be in a jazz fusion band,if he was still alive. He said in an interview he was trying to move away from this kind of music.Every death album got different over time.Listen to the first cd major change from the last one he did.
They add a fair amount of effects to their guitars . Which is awesome . That dry sound is played out. Some chorus , reverb and delay gives it a washy bigger sound .
the vocals sounds like the master chuck schuldinner...fucking awesome
Sounds more like early Pestilence

They add a fair amount of effects to their guitars . Which is awesome . That dry sound is played out. Some chorus , reverb and delay gives it a washy bigger sound .

@@beeboped I'd say yeah, more like Van Drunen in his prime, and this is a Good Thing.

Reminds me of the first Gorguts album. Fucking awesome.
I always hear Gorguts and Malevolent Creation when listening to SR
It sounds a lot like mixture of the vocals from the first Gorguts album and the vocals of Martin van Drunen (Pestilence, Asphyx)
@@johnwalbeck5068 Thats was my first impresion-Pestilence!
Pure madness! 🤘🏼
Hell yeah
I wish more bands did guitar solos like these guys.
Loved the sound and riffs but the solos were awful, imo.
BleepingRelics I kinda liked them because they sounded pretty old school to me, but I can understand why someone might not like them.
what a voice .... like Martin Van Drunen and ChuckSchuldiner had a baby.
that schecter guitar is badass
This is what real death metal must sound like.
This band is soooooo fucking good!
Nasty hell of a job...great
Something about a lead guitar singer songwriter that is different from a bass player singer songwriter and you can hear it in these guys!! Ahhhhhh
As Guitarists we are more perfectionists and the Bassists kinda just give it all their heart respectively
Saw them open for prong in Portland and they stole the show these guys are awesome
🤘🤘🤘
Old school or no school at all!!!
