THE WHOLE ALBUM IS INSANE!!! You need to see them live after COVID
OMG I SECOND THE LIVE!!!!! I’ve seen them twice, once at a regular show and once at a festival, and the festival show was one of my favorite shows I’ve EVER been to. They are SO much better live. I’m always speechless. Lol.

Death by Rock and Roll is the album title. I’m so happy you love it because it’s SO good. I feel like TPR is so underrated. I don’t understand how more people aren’t in love with them. They’re literally modern AND classic all at once. Truly one of a kind. Taylor Momsen is a legend.
Edit: I also have to tell you that I truly believe Taylor Momsen is the most humble rocker out there. She literally only wants to play music and she’s so low key about it.
Oh, and PLEASE react to their whole discography. Going to Hell is my favorite older album. The Hit Me Like a Man EP is SO good too. Their videos are killer as well.

Taylor LOVES classic rock AND her favorite band is Soundgarden. Combining those two with Taylor's undeniable talent is magic. She also loves the Beatles, which is why you get so many 'Beatle-ish' breaks in her songs. Cornell was a big Beatles fan as well.

I actually got to see them open for The Veronicas
The entire album that released last Friday is amazing. It's also one of those that improves from 1 full playthrough, the structure of the entire album is very intentional. You should definitely do an album reaction. Small trivia. The footsteps in the begining of the song is from their late producer Kato who passed away in a motorcycle accident (they reference that in this song) they also opened for Audioslave the same day Chris passed away. The entire album is pretty much her (and the bands) way to pull themselves up from one of the darkest periods in their lives.)

The Cornell influence is SO STRONG in the new album (this is the title track btw). You will absolutely love it.
Fun fact: This song was written by their guitarist Ben Phillips back in 2005 when he was a member of a band "Famous". That band included 3 members (Ben - vocals, guitar; Mark - bass; Jamie - drums). Then, in 2009/2010 Ben was writing some songs with Taylor for her band and then all of them decided to work together, so they like "teammed up" and took the name "The Pretty Reckless" which was created by Taylor. All three members from "Famous" joined Taylor. Taylor had a band before but members were always leaving due to taste differences.
You can find Bens' version of this song somewhere in vk i guess. The differences are: half step down, no solo (so Bens' song is shorter a bit) and as a result no 3rd verse. And this wasn't a full song because as Ben said, it was a demo song.

Momsen and her crew are gonna put band music back in the mainstream map again. If it weren't for COvid, they've toured and this will skyrocket more. Man the album is great, never heard anything like that in the mainstream for ages. I just hope they introduce and spotlight more about her bandmates.
