Can't say I remember you ever doing another. Regardless, while it is kinda strange to see one of your videos in color, I wouldn't say it's bad. Just different. Unlike the the whole thing with the narrator, I can get used to the color. Also, let whoever did the animation for the skinwalker running alongside the cop car know they did an EXCELLENT job. Really, it looked so smooth and creepy. Plus the attention to detail, continuing the animation even after it mostly disappeared from sight and could only just be seen in a gap between the two officers and in the back window. Most people just would've had it disappear.

As a child growing up in New Mexico I can say Native Americans, specifically the Navajo do not take speaking of Skin walkers lightly. I had a Navajo friend tell me stories his father had told him once about Skinwalker's, and once I was outside playing with him as a child I started joking around about it saying "A skin Walker is going to get you!"
I'll never forget his father got so genuinely mad about it I had to leave. Later his father explained to me that it's no joke, and they're very real. He told me how to spot one, and if I did spot one to run and never look it in the eye's. I'll never forget how genuinely concerned for my well being he was. He definitely made it a point that it is very real

I’m not sure if this is a skinwalker story but nevertheless I’ll tell you guys about it.
Around a decade ago my uncle was once driving home alone from his friend’s house. He lives in a village in Ukraine not far from the Romanian border. It was around 12 at night and he was driving on a dirt road through a large field, basically in the middle of nowhere, when all of a sudden his car slowed down and stopped running. Thinking something happened to the motor, he was just about to open his door when he looked up and saw two red cat-like eyes on a hairy, upright, humanoid looking figure standing on the hood of the car. He immediately locked his doors and started panicking since a few more pairs of eyes joined the first figure. Those things began to sort of laugh and jump on the roof of his car, causing noise and shaking his vehicle. My uncle had no other option but to begin frantically praying. After some some time the jumping stopped and all he remembers is that he woke up in the morning and the car worked just fine. When he got back home he noticed that there were dents on the roof and hood.
I got other stories from this village, many of my relatives are from there

One of my relative’s neighbors was crossing that same field at night when she was as young girl. She swore she heard a distant baby crying and that the sounds kept getting closer, but she didn’t fall for it and ran home as fast as she can.
In another story, one of my aunts was in bed with her husband and something at night slammed open the door, and ran upstairs with heavy footsteps. Stopped for a few seconds, and ran back out the house. She’s very superstitious and this occurred right after when she told others that saying “dracul” wasn’t so bad (it’s like basically saying damn). She stopped saying those words ever since.
There’s other accounts of Soviet border patrols disappearing or the dogs would hide under furniture for no apparent reason

My parents grew up in Flagstaff. My father went hunting with some of his buddies and encountered a Skinwalker. It followed one of his friends home and terrorized him for the rest of the night.

Many people in the rural Southwest take Skinwalkers seriously. Very seriously. I have a cousin who is a psychologist in Utah and has become convinced of their existence through her clients. I love the stories of skinwalkers for a couple reasons.
1: I've never heard a legitimately believable one where anyone was actually hurt, just chased or even trapped for a while. Very strange.
2: I walked outside on a job once to hear a slightly distorted woman's voice singing. I was a security guard and nobody was supposed to be around, so I asked "who's there?" and shined a light right where the voice had come from. There was a doe standing where the voice had come from. That still sticks with me to this day. Eerie, but not anything like some people's stories.

    • @themasterseye
      @themasterseye 3 роки тому +38

anyone who gets hurt is likely not going to survive to tell the story (an assumption). Skinwalkers from what I understand are intelligent, and predatory. If a creature as unworldly as a skinwalker gets to you to hurt you, then you are its intended prey and probably wont be telling stories.
Unfortunately I have heard stories that are suspected skinwalker stories where people's friends have gone missing, or their pets/animals have wound up dead.
Its a neat type of story for sure though.

So to answer the first point, this is because in order for you to hear the story a person needs to survive. So if the skin walker is real(pray it's not), and it kill 9 of 10 people it mets; then you'll only ever hear of a tenth of the encounters. All the others would just be missing persons. If the skin walker is as dangerous as the tribes say, we'd be lucky to even get a 10th of the encounters documented

There was this humanoid thing - to this day I do not know what it was - that emerged from the arroyo about 100 feet away. It certainly did not appear natural. It moved in an odd lurch. Then when it noticed Ben, the other guy who was closer to it than I was, it made a very aggressive gesture. Ben went to draw his revolver and I shit you not, the thing was on him in an instant, knocking him to the ground. Then I went to shoot and like that it was gone. Many people who live on the outskirts of flag (farmers, ranchers, etc) have stories similar to that girl’s, and out on the Rez it’s much worse. A friend of mine was coming home from work and found a witch doctor stealing hair from his hairbrush, and she (the witch doctor) just grabbed it and jumped out of the bathroom window. And it doesn’t help that the Navajo nation police response time is about an hour, because it’s so remote.

I grew up in Monticello Utah where hyw 666 terminated. We were always taught to be home before dark and never be alone when out on the mountain. After high school, I drove a delivery truck for the local frozen food company. I had to be on the road by 4:00 am and would deliver all along highway 666. I saw several strange lights and figures. They would usually appear along the side of the road just on the edge of my head lights. I'm still paranoid to be in the woods at night.

I have lived in many places and I can tell you when I was partying with some natives in the panted desert area they were not very happy about me asking about that. later when we were back in town they told me that in the wilderness you don't talk about it and at night you never whistle. I remember seeing a presentation by some ethnically Navajo sheriff's deputy who dealt with a lot Indians ... the video is somewhere on youtube, but I can't find it at the moment. Anyway, he said that some Indians are so convinced there are skinwalkers that they don't even like talking about them, because it brings the skinwalkers' attention on them. He also mentioned something similar to using bone dust to curse their enemies. Interesting stuff.

I live in South Texas, I believe I had encountered a Skinwalker one cold February night.
We were going down the highway into the countryside after a long day of romance. When made a turn on a curve and that's where we saw it. The description in the video matches especially on the creature appeared to be wearing a mask and the eyes.
    Further description I'll put down:
A very large wolf. Very large by 6 inches shorter from my kia soul in height.
The back part of the creature looked natural; tail wagging, rear legs walking without issue. However, the front part was disturbing. It frail its arms as it walks, the face looked like a loose mask, I could clearly see the jaw without skin, giving a ominous skeletal grin of a wolf. It's eyes was piercing. I tried to turn around so I'll take a picture of it, but it ran into a property. It jumped a 5 foot barb wire fence and disappeared into the darkness.

This was very unsettling to watch, as I had my own skinwalker encounter when I was in high school, tho at the time I had some shaky tidbits of info at best. This video cemented my own belief that I had been stalked by a skinwalker, as it was described in identical fashion as to what I witnessed. The vividness of the memory made it hard to look at the skinwalkers' eyes, even in the animations.
I lived in a community in Arizona within the southern suburbs of Phoenix, in what is known as The Foothills. Our neighborhood had been developed right up against a Native American reservation, with our community on one side of a 4-lane "highway" and the reservation on the other. We always heard about different Native ghost stories living so close, but as they made the rounds through school, it was difficult to pinpoint which details belonged to which tales. The only thing I knew at the time was that skinwalkers were some form of Native witch that possessed the ability to transform into a coyote.
Some time after I had heard the stories, when it was albeit out of my mind, I had my encounter. I was driving home from my high school sweetheart's house at the end of the highway separating the community and the reservation. It was about a 15 minute drive back to my house, and much of the strip of road near the end was unlit, except for maybe one or two streetlights for about 5 miles. I remember listening to the radio, young love filling my thoughts, as I looked out of my passenger side window at the side of the road. I saw what I at first believed to be a rather large coyote, running alongside my car. I was already going about 60mph when I noticed it was keeping up with the car, running perfectly parallel to the highway. I was on a stretch that was completely unlit when I saw it's head turn towards me and it's piercing, glowing red eyes looked at me. I thought it was really strange, but again, assumed that there was some light reflecting off the creature's eyes that caused this effect, similar to when you point a flashlight at a dog in the darkness.
As I continued to stare, briefly checking the road as I drove, it never broke it's gaze on me. I remember an unsettling feeling creeping up my spine as I remembered portions of the tales told at school. With no other cars on the road in any direction, and the threat of police speed traps extremely low in that neighborhood, I put my foot on the gas, hoping I could outrun the creature, and explain away the event as nothing other than a large, rather quick coyote. As I did, the moon moved through some clouds, and I remember thinking it was strange that the creature's fur was still jet black, even once illuminated. The coyotes I was used to seeing were greyish brown, with varying degrees of saturation in either end of the gradient. My car picked up speed, to the point where I was traveling ~80mph along the unlit stretch of road. As I looked out the window again, the creature was not only keeping pace with me, but began to pull ahead of the car ever so slightly.
All I could think of at the time was how unnatural the whole event was, though I surprisingly never felt in danger. I was somewhat relieved, however, when I finally hit the stoplight (green, thank God) that marked the beginning of the lit portion of the road, with a large foothill on my right to break up the open desert I had been driving alongside. Once I passed through the intersection, I could no longer make out the entity running beside me, though I remember only reducing my speed partially, as I wanted to get home as quickly as possible.
I apologize for the amount of detail here, but I wasn't kidding when I said this video elicited some very intense memories for me. I must've put the event out of sight, out of mind, as I never really dove into more details regarding skinwalkers, and just so happened across this video as I am avid BTS fan. I'm really unsettled right now thinking back through every detail of that night, and shuddering as I realize how accurate the video was to what I experienced.
Believe me, don't believe me, that's up to you. But please... please, if you are ever in Arizona, double check your maps and ensure you aren't accidentally crossing through any reservation land. If skinwalkers are real, it honestly frightens me to think of what other tales from rez might also be.

I remember being a kid and a local guy in his early 20's at the time would occasionally show up at the local court to play basketball with us. When we played shirts and skins, if he happened to be skin and remove his shirt, he had these gnarly claw marks or what appeared to be clawmarks on his chest. He claimed a skinwalker had clawed him. These clawmarks were huge and defined, if it wasn't a skinwalker it had to have been a bear at least, but seems if we survived a bear encounter one wouldn't need to create a false story. Anyway, as I grew up and the years went by, the guy never changed his story. Idk but he swore to it and the scars were convincing.

TRUE STORY: My best friend in High School and his father were avid hunters. They went on a hunting trip one Friday (way back in 1997), after school to bag a deer. The problem was, they came back the same day; and my best friend told us what happened the very next day during lunch at his house. Here's what he said happened:
-They went out and sat still for almost an hour when they spotted the head of a deer poking out from behind a large bush. My friend's father told him to take the shot. My best friend aimed at the head, just behind the eye, fired...and MISSED. However, the shot scared the deer and it stood up, screamed an ALMOST human-like scream and started running away...ON TWO HUMAN LEGS!!! He described it as if some naked guy was running while wearing the upper-half of a VERY realistic deer costume. It was a deer with human hips, human legs and human genitalia. But, as the deer ran further away the half-deer, half-man "thing" turned into a full deer and began galloping like a real deer, instead of running on just its hind-human legs. My best friend said that he and his dad just stood there for a while, then, the dad said they should leave. So, instead of just packing up what was unpacked, they just threw everything in the back of their SUV. The next morning I got a phone call telling me to go to his house because he saw "something" out there. I was confused that he called from his house, because I thought he would be back the next day (Sunday), so I went there to see what was up. He told me and my other two friends what happened, and w thought he was lying (at first); but, his dad told us what he said was true. And, we realized that these two guys wouldn't lie about something like that.
It wasn't until the year 2001 when I was working with a Navajo (Dine) person. He told us stories about "epidural runners" or an "epidural meanderor" (it's what he called S.W.s). I told him about what happened to my best friend and his dad. My co-worker told me that it was DEFINITELY an "epidural runner" and that my friend was lucky he missed the shot; and the both of them were lucky that thing simply ran away. Why? Well, a REGULAR bullet won't kill a S.W. (epidural runner); and having an angry S.W. is not good for your health.
And, if you're wondering why that Navajo co-worker of mine calls them "epidural runners/meanderors," it's because just saying the word "skin" next to the word "walker" evokes them to pay you a visit. So, he called them "epidural meanderors" or "epidural runners" instead of the "S.W." word.

So I just wanted to say thank you so very much for doing this episode. The reason I state this is because we hear so many skinwalker stories but nobody ever speaks about the way in which they’re created using the black magic ritual they use which involves the consumption of a loved one 🤮.
I heard a story that a Native American told from his childhood where he was being raised by relatives and had not seen or spoken to his mother as she had run off with Native American witches . One night his mother appeared in his bedroom while he was asleep she woke him and said her goodbyes and stated that he was always her favorite which is why she was going to spare him and take his sister instead .
His sister disappeared from her bed that night and she was never seen again . So sick and sad to think someone would do this to their own child.
As a side note I’d also like to give praise to all of you for how well put together this channel is right down to the music. Much Love ❤

I had a weird encounter with something late one night while I was changing a head gasket on a lorry. It was a slightly overcast night with the odd star coming through and while I was working something caught my attention. above and to my left over the tilted cab was what seemed like a bright star from the corner of my eye but when I looked all I saw was a dullish star, nothing to really draw my attention. I turned back to what I was doing and I guess a minute or so later, lower down and to my right from behind the tilted cab I saw this little glowing white tennis ball sized object moving outwards. I froze, and I could see it moving slowly again from the corner of my eye and it was clearly watching me. It stopped and I turned to look and as quick as a flash it shot upwards leaving a faint trail after it. I just froze again for a few seconds looking at the trail, then took a quick few steps back and lit a cigarette. Their was absolutely no one else around and no one was pranking me their was no one else there. Actually this is how I came across your amazing channel I've been researching these things since.

A few years ago I saw a thing while driving in the late hours of the night. I don't know what it was, but it looked a little bit like a dog and a little bit like a moose maybe? I live in Wisconsin. It was able to keep up with my car going roughly 50 mph for a short period, and it tried to ram my car.
I have no idea what it was. I think about it sometimes. It was a very strange experience, but not really scary. I was able to swerve out of its way due to no one else being on the road and then I sped up to get away from it.

Great episode, but was a little confused about one small thing by the end. In the US, the 'Southern' United States is generally considered to be the states of Virginia, The Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisiana, Arkansas and to a certain extent, Texas. The regions that this video covers are really considered the Western/Southwestern US. When people in the US think of "The South" it's the old Confederate states, not the states made from former Mexican territory.

I live in southeast Texas and my property is bordered by the national forest. I have personally seen/heard (as well as multiple people who range from acquaintances to close friends) everything in the description of these skinwalkers. I have talked to my neighbors and almost every one of them confirm what I've seen. 2 of them absolutely refuse to even talk about it or acknowledge it at all in conversation and quickly change the subject if the topic is brought up. I don't necessarily believe in the magical voodoo shit about cannibalism and saying its name nonsense, but I know what I've seen and I have witnesses to back me up. This shit is weird and my fiance and I are planning to move very soon partially because of it.

When I was about maybe 5-6 years old in Texas, I remember waking up one night and just kinda walking around my house at night. For a few minutes I was looking at my backyard for no reason really. I start to head back to my room towards the front part of the house and I saw a dark humanoid figure standing in front of door to my then house. I slowly inched back behind the corner of the hallway freaked out but didn't scream. I then peak around the corner and it was still there with glowing yellow eyes emitting from it. It did nothing but stare inside and I could feel it staring at me. I continued to stare for a few minutes before slowly walking towards the other hallway where the bedrooms were at and it was tracking me as I went along. After watching this video, I guess I learned why it never made an attempt to break-in, if it was indeed a skinwalker. once i made it I checked again and it was gone. After 20 years or so, I have never had another encounter with the super or para normal.
I will say this though, I always wondered what I may have seen that night and the thumbnail from this video brings back that memory with a clear image. Maybe it was a skinwalker, maybe it was something different but, I now at least have an idea maybe.

My wife and I traveled that exact road in New Mexico. We were traveling back to Virginia from LA. We decided to take a detour and go see monument valley and then go to four corners. You're basically in the middle of nowhere. Our route back to I 40 was that same stretch of highway from shiprock to Gallup New Mexico. It was late afternoon and we didn't experience anything out of the ordinary but I had heard the stories of strange happenings on that road. In fact, my brother and his friend we're on their way to do some rock climbing at shiprock back when the road was numbered 666 and climbing there was allowed. Their car inexplicably broke down along that stretch. Fortunately for them, they were able to hitch a ride back to Gallup and the next day get a wrecker to retrieve the car.

I’ve had Navajo friends who were always reluctant to share any stories, due to even uttering the term skinwalker, could cause they themselves to be cursed. Let me just say that the vast NM desert and reservations are very spooky at nightfall.
