Only thing is, Em is talking to Proof which is why he shows his Proof tattoo, not God. It’s why he put everything into this verse. He’s saying his enemies will have to deal with Proof in heaven when he’s done with them.
It’s both. Some lines he’s speaking to God. Others it’s Proof. He isn’t referring to Proof as a “higher power”. Ya know? Em has discussed his faith before. Pretty sure he is Catholic.

My dumbass almost commented somewhere for you to do this song haha. I was raised a Roman catholic. Whew. I learned Islam and been to mosque, the religion can be beautiful but I am part jew. I believe in God. I believe in basics of many religions hence our human rights. But many churches take all religions. The mosque I went to knew I was not Muslim and never once tried to convert me and offered me back anytime. It was peaceful. I was fully covered and actually felt how much strength these women have to cover. We were in a bad neighborhood and the mosque was in a warehouse. The looks from people on the block but they didn't say a word. Felt good these dudes were looking at my body and cat calling ya know? But I've had to come to terms no religion is right. But we can still believe in God.

If you’re struggling with peoples misconceptions about gay christians I recommend seeing if you have an Episcopal church near you. I’m not religious but I was raised Christian in an episcopal church and they only ever taught us to love everyone, there was a gay couple there with a couple of adopted kids and nobody ever said anything bad about them even when they weren’t around. Overall it’s a pretty chill branch of the religion and if you’re looking to explore that faith without as much judgement it’s a way to go.

Your relationship with God is yours. No one can take that from you. We all stumble and sin has many faces. Matthew 7 verses 1 and 2 "Do not judge , or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with measure you use, it will be measured to you." The bible isn't meant to start wars. For me personally, no one else just me. I say If I don't make it too heaven I want to spend as much time as I can with God here on earth. Through prayer, song, acts of kindness for kindness sake alone and have the willingness to learn from him through his written word and share that knowledge with others. I pray every day that it gives a sinner like me a chance. I follow God, walk with Jesus, carry my children and live life with my husband.

7:32 Look. Even if a fellow Christian is claiming being gay is a sin, the idea that you can’t be Christian bc of it is ridiculous. We are supposed to understand as Christians that we are all fallen. We are all sinful. We all fall short. Every single day. You might need to change churches, not switch up on your whole religion. If bad people cause you to turn from God, Satan wins. Christians not being Christian-like is basic humanity. There are hypocrites in every religion, charity, workplace, friend group, family, etc, etc, etc. There always will be people like that wherever people gather, whether for a cause or not because many people are not what they say they are. Only God-Christ-The Spirit and You know if you are Heavenbound, and if you KNOW and LOVE GOD and KNOW and LOVE our Savior, then you will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Those looking down on you... I'm not sure... But I am sure of you. So don't let anyone deter you from continuing to know HIM. We all fall short of Grace because NONE among us are perfect and that's why we have that relationship with Christ, that's why we repent, that's why we do NOT condemn others. Satan is always using everything and everyone he can to cause us to doubt our faith, doubt God, so PLEASE don't let that LIAR succeed in using those that are weak in our faith but strong in their opinions cause you to turn away from the Love, Comfort and Support you deserve. I think you should seriously consider just dropping religion altogether. Instead of looking for a new religion, when none of them have any better reason to believe in them then Christianity does.
