I have watched a few videos about this and urs is by far the best method did leave a little damage but I was annoyed and being ruff but I don't mind as I'm wrapping the chrome bits absolute legend
Just as tip for anyone trying this, tie a small piece of string to the cable before you remove it. Then you have something that runs through that you can guide the new cable back through with!

It would be more easy to take the panel out,and then get the wiring back in
