A advice: Covering the fish in large leaves may help you keep the clay away from the fishmeat, making it easier for you to separate it from the clay as well as keeping the taste of the fish more pure. I took the advice from another guy ho tried to cook venison with mud
You made that fish look so delicious. You may have to make yourself some calf length moccasins and a chamois shirt for the cold winter days and nights to come. Maybe even a fur sleeping platform. I would love watch those episodes. Good video.
P.S. creating a small, clay lined tunnel from your stove and leading up to and under your hut floor can help to heat your sleeping matt. I hate to think of you getting cold.
It actually doesn't get very cold here. My weekly swims in the ocean all winter long seem to have made me less sensitive to cold but a heating system will definitely be helpful for the winter. I will be thinking about plans for this.
I just want to say, thankyou for making great videos. I can see how much time and dedication you put in these videos, all the Camera angles and the microphones are amazing. Great job!😁👍
For anyone who hasn't tried to cook fish like that, you don't need the clay, but you will need to be attentive as to not burn it, with all the herbs and what have you, you can make a dish with taste so good that nothing compares, awesome video
I just went on a three day binge watching your videos. Started with the snake island one. Pretty amazing stuff man. Keep up the great work and videos! Cant wait to watch more.
You should try to find some type of large leaf to wrap the fish in before the clay, it makes it a lot easier to eat, and you don’t have to chew on pieces of mud
I love these videos so much. It really puts things into perspective for me.....watching you make everything you’ll need by hand, is so amazing....made me realize how much I take things for granted.
I very much enjoyed this video. It holds my attention from beginning to end. Very important! If you ever go from primative videos to apocalyptic survival videos you could use a automotive creeper to slide in and out of your hut when you get old. Better yet just ward off aging with exercise, good living and low stress. Take care brother!

you should cover the fish with some kind of leaf like banana leaf or lotus leaf for protect the fish from burning and make the smell better, that is the traditional way in my country
If you get a good bed of coals and just throw the fish on when it turns black on one side turn it over when it gets black on that side it is done, no clay just good eating.
well chad, before you cover that fish with clay i think it would be better if you cover the fish some wide leaves before clay so the clay and fish could separated and youll get original fish taste😊
Survival wise, the clay is needed to provide minerals and salt to the fish. Salt is extremely important for survival. Especially, if you are in a environment that doesn't have salt.
Hi bro How are you? I hope you are well i know your name My name is Sundar from South Indian Tamil Nadu, Anyway Small tips : fish before boil around fish put any brad leaf and then apply Soiled soil You can eat without it ok thank you..
I know that this might sound stupid, but do you live in the adobe hut full time and is it your only residence? I ask because it’s incredibly hard to live a “primitive life” full time and most people don’t do it 100% of the time. Matt Graham lives in a primitive hut in the desert but I’m pretty sure even he has a house somewhere and with all the travel he does, teaching etc., he can’t do that full time. I’d love to make myself a hut like that to hang out in and just practice skills and see how it was done and if it CAN be done, and how difficult it would be. For me the hardest part would be giving up a modern toilet! Sorry, squatting over a hole just doesn’t cut it, I know it seems silly but modern hygiene is the main reason our life expectancy has grown in the last century. It’s easy to miss a bit of fecal bacteria under the nails after a wipe, and you’ve got cholera. Anyway, great videos, keep it coming!
Eu ainda prefiro o bom e velho espeto de graveto, fazer uma ponta em um ou dois gravetos não demora muito, mas ainda sim mandou muito bem, gostei dessa tecnica, quero tentar fazer..
What I like about this is that in the beginning he is not shouting “what’s up guys I am back with another video”
I fell asleep watching this. Not because it was boring, but all of these episodes are so relaxing. Great videos man
Oh bro me too
And me! I love the fact there is no voiceover.
can't agree more
So relaxing

instead of looking at a tv show is looking at his stove hope you having fun watching that stove buddy

Hey Sir, you need to find a wide leaves then wrap it out the fish. Then wrap it again using clay. Or just leaves. Not a poisonous leaves.✌️✌️
