    Another beautiful video as is Part 1. I'm so glad you posted this. If you go to myocn.net's website and select The Rudder, check out the program Icons in Sound Pascha Edition, and the last track that's played is the amazing Bucharest Choir. I was moved to tears the first time I heard that one. Thank you for posting these.

    Cristo resucito dentre los muertos
    Hollando la muerte con su muerte
    Y otorgando la vida a los
    que yacian en los sepulchros.

    Wait...I just realized this must be the same song (more or less) as the "Easter Anthem" in "The Sacred Harp" shape note song book, aka "Christ is Risen, Indeed!" (ua-cam.com/video/mWsBOsr_l5s/v-deo.html) Wish that was included in here too! Anyway, love the videos; really put things in global perspective!

      justforever96 Not really, as troparion "Christ is risen" is one of the most ancient hymns and it's not just an Easter song

    Georgian Version of Christ risen is sang by Russian monks in your video, Please change it if you could. Georgians singing it is more beautiful.

    Could you, please, tell me where the Hungarian melody comes from. In the first part it is the traditional Greek melody, but I can't identify this one.
    Thank you.

    Please, what is with the allegorical pictures of Christ raising two men from death? I can't even find anything with Google!

    • @domkov91
      @domkov91  9 років тому +2

      justforever96 They're Adam and Eve - the first people, the first one who died. They're also symbol of the whole humanity

      +justforever96 Christ is the new Adam and in the icon is raising Adam and Eve from their tombs while the holy people from the Old Testament bear witness to it. He is trampling on the gates of hell and the demons are fleeing in terror, since they cannot claim the Author of Life. This is a theological icon since it is not mentioned in Scripture.

      Mr. Walker: Look carefully at how our Lord is holding Adam and Eve. Holding their wrists is more firm than holding their hands.
