    I can run a half marathon in just over an hour and a half but yesterday I spent 30 minutes in a pool and couldn’t even complete 500 metres. Running and swimming are very different and I admire anyone who can do both!

    I've watched Matt for years and his swim has definitely improved! Great to hear the background and hope he does well at Yokohama this weekend!

    Any chance of you making a video of his swim technique?

    He lost me at "my 1st time trial was like 1:30 min/100m, so I was extremely slow..." If that's your starting point, you're already better than 90% of triathletes lol

      This! Super envious if that's his "slow"!

      He got the maths wrong though. He said 1:40/100yards which is actually about 1:50/100metres. He converted his time the wrong way

      Also he might have been in a 25 yard pool, so more pushes off the wall would have made his pace higher than it would have been in 50m pool

      @@Sparto91Plus, maybe it's not clear but it's an all out 100m, some may be confused and think he held that for the 800m he talked about

      for an elite triathlete 1:30 min/100m is slow, anyway.

    Just noticed Matt asked a question at 29:25 about what Brenton would do with people who don't have that much time to swim 4-5k every day and the answer got cut out?
    really curious about the answer

    I know it's all relative, but I hate that he says 1:30/100m ways so slow - I'd kill to swim that "slow" 😫

    I have no idea what he’s saying on double pull buoy.. your feet go through the band? Makes no sense

    • @marcp3984
      @marcp3984 Місяць тому +1

      1st band holds buoys together, add a 2nd band perpendicular to slip feet through to hold/limit them close together
