I never got my hands on the NERF Rival Perses when it first came out due to the price, and that I didn't have any immediate ideas of how to mod the thing... but I always wanted one. It just seemed like a very comfortable, usable SMG-style blaster that fixes the things I didn't like about the Nemesis and it's derivatives. Thanks to a special someone, I now have my hands on one... and does it fix all the problems I have with Rival?

@Jared Sheehanuh, who are you talking to?
Rival balls are inaccurate at long distances because of the hop up. It imparts a spin that helps it travel farther but some point the Magnus force kicks in that makes the ball suddenly change direction. If you are into baseball, it's similar to slider or cut fastball movement.
So do you remove the hop up?
@@scouttrooperhh-1487 No. The hop up keeps the balls from arcing into the ground. You might try shaving a bit off to lower the spin, but at a cost of distance.
At least the hop up is predictable tho, so you can change your aim depending on where the round goes.
Did u try to improve the hopup system
That target coupon really helped out for me.
I used my target coupon on a megalodon lol
So a few things. One, If you're watching this Thanksgiving week, you can get this for $60 with a discount and coupon from Target. Two, Out of Darts has an impressive suite of upgrades, including an expanded hopper. Three, he also has a wire guide that drastically improves consistency.
You beat me to that comment, sir. I was going to say the exact same thing. Happy turkey day!
@@joeleustice lol. Same to you.
I personally see the Perses as a replacement for the Khaos myself. Similar form factor 50rounds compared to 40 rounds.
Khaos mags can maxcap hold 50 also and it awkwardly holds mags with 12 round mag clips
Mag clips?
Genedocs Innovations what do you even mean?
@@Swagsoviet06 The black clips that clip on Rival tac rails to hold 7/12 round mags
Genedocs Innovations That doesn’t really clear it up but thanks for trying
I can't forget when me and my Perses, Buff Daddy and a couple others held down that entrance of our base at Ragnarocktoberfest against a large onslaught of zombies. The perfect weapon for such an occasion! You can thank the Perses in part for not having to face zombies inside our base. Good times man!
Walcom would drive a civic that ran off batteries and only flywheel
Good review Walcom! If I remember correctly, OutofDarts did make a detailed mod guide for the blaster and showed how you can make it lipo compatible while not losing the ability to use the included battery. Of course, this doesn't just apply to Perses, it can be done on other blasters that require motor replacements. I have done it to my Vulcan, Swarmfire, Nemesis, and Khaos.
I totally agree with your opinions about adding magazines when necessary. If this was built into the unit without a feature to pop out, it would be fine and adjustable later down the road. Out of darts already has an extendable version of this Hopper. However, since you can take part of it out, it makes it more desirable to have multiples
Seeing those Rounds Arc upwards then rain down
reminds me of the Hail rifle from Borderlands
Hmm that would be useful ;3
Welcome to the Perses owning club - good review and aim is better w/o typical rifle technique ;-)
The mag is tricky at first but after about 50 reloads you should get the hang of it
Have a nice day
To be honest, the Perses might be my first blaster
It just looks and is amazing, the rechargeable battery and mag-hopper unit should ne much more common, plus it seriously looks straight out of Titanfall, maybe Crysis too.
Have fun keeping track of the rounds, unless you plan on buying extra ammo packs...
I myself only have one RIVAL blaster and it is a chore keeping track of them.
Went on ahead and bought one lol, thanks for the link there I couldn't find it before :O
Hey man for all the joy u bting to ur fans u do deserve it. Uve helped inspire me to get into the hobby and yo become the bane of my roomates lol. Ty
You need a proton-pack
I would never use it. I can't afford to waste $40-60 of ammo at a war.
It’s garbage buy headshot ammo
Plot twist the sling Mount at the bottom of the gun is the priming handle for the jolt mode
>Sees Melony photo on first mention of thick
Ah shoot, here we go again
A Kid Friendly Kriss Vector
the worker vertical foregrip is compatible with the rival rail, which I find pretty cool.
That is a sexy blaster. You should look at what Luke added to it. (Out of Darts.)
1:18 I don’t know. I’ve seen some pretty pricey sandwiches
Hey Walcom-- I'd love to see a review of the Scravenger, given it's only $20 at Kohls now. As always, keep up the great work!
Heavy Day as the outro song? Nice.
Perses OP NERF plz nerf. Wait a minute...
I want a Perse and Out of Dart mod it!
I think that like the Khoas they might come out with another hopper when there is a better option.
(For Walcom, mostly) for any addition information aboot this blaster check out Out Of Darts videos.
Walcom: I wonder if it’ll shoot *shoots hand* OH HELL YEAH IT DOES!
The overwatch soldier 76 blaster is awesome not as fast firing but its built in hopper and moving parts help keep rounds from getting stuck.
And the varying rate of fire is easy to oull off with the trigger. Single shot semi automatic and fully auto with like 4-6 rounds a secong
I was thinking of getting it not sure though
Is that Danganronpa music in the background?
Man of culture.
Luke has that extra hopper thing
0:30 to be fair, you have reviewed paintball markers and airsoft gear :p
I completely agree with you about motorized rival blasters.
What about the hera?
What are your recommended kronos mods? Do anything with the hop up?
The whole point of hoppers is to bulk load from a pouch or paintball pod. If you want extra hoppers, might as well run a Khaos with extra mags since it is only 10 rounds less and does not have the inconsistency of gravity-feed. The hopper is self contained so you can clear a jam without the rest of your balls falling out.
So that's why this hopper is designed in such a way that it's incredibly hard to dump rounds into, unlike the Prometheus or Nemesis? It's clearly designed as a magazine, it wouldn't have a random loop on it otherwise.
Yeah it's sort of a magazine/hopper hybrid of sorts. Holds three tidy lines worth of rounds that benefit from more precise placement than most hoppers mandate, but uses gravity feeding. Having pre-stacked hoppers to swap out like magazines would work fairly well with this unit. You can dump rounds into it, but it's best to under-load if doing so.
@@WalcomS7 Sorry, I did not notice the ring. I cannot speak as to what the Hasbro designers' intention was, but designing a hopper to be a swappable magazine is a very strange concept to me. If it is intended as a mag I hope Hasbro starts selling them individually.
In general yes, but the way the hopper is designed makes it a little less conducive for bulk loading with its narrow profile.
I wouldn't necessarily argue for a khaos though. Yes feeding is more reliable but they're also quite awkward to reload, let alone trying to find something suitable to hold it.
Great video, as always.
Whoever your benefactor is, I reckon is a good dude or dudette.
It sucks being poor and liking nerf, I know.
Hasbro should've called _this_ the Hyperion.
Missed opportunity...
Looks more like a Tediore
Definitely making mine into a Hyperion Bitch
Maybe get some lexan and leds for the Shield too
Proton pack?
Seems Walcoms7 has quite a big fan if he got sent these blasters from someone who he barely knows
You dont even see the balls hit his hand, you just se them bounce the other way
Nemesis is mega milk perses is milk
4:01 when you let the dogs out
You can't tell me what to do. I'm liking this video because you said to dislike it. Lmao
I’m stupid happy it’s Team Blue …
@Outofdarts send him a hopper please
Currently (as of 3-9-23) on sale online at Walmart for $35
sure it is :)
Think of it guys, one day, definitely not any time soon, somebody, maybe not walcom, will do a tag back video on the nerf Rival perses, and say how awesome of a blaster it was and just how great it made rival and it will make us ALL feel old.
"ARRHARRHARHAHRARHA" -walcoms7
What is the song at the end of the video?
I'm surprised no one else has told you this. It's the main theme of Guilty Gear Xrd:SIGN. The song's called Heavy Day.
Did you get the charger
Those balls fly like drunk Frisbees lpl
Nobody has ever done this
**50 shades of Perses**
I could of gotten so many sandwiches.... but totally worth it for thoes midnight potions filled night fights
MrVash104 what?
@@keepermovin5906 Perses plus drunk peeps equals hours of fun
Welp guess what i am saving up for
It’s 70 USD on Amazon right now!!
I’m thinking of getting perses but I also want a nemesis I don’t know which one I should get
If you’re the type of person who wanted to fire rounds pretty quickly, I’d recommend the Perses, but if you want a big load and don’t mind the rate of fire, I would say the Nemesis is for you.
@@Bigbert835 thanks
This looks like a destiny fusion rifle.
This Gun is what the Gatlin gun did to battle. End it.
a fire slecter wiil take up more room
Lmao I got mine for 50 bucks online from Walmart during Black Friday
13:44 They include an additional magazine, and also include an extra $30 to the price. No thanks.
RIVAL
Peruses Chan
I got my persus how ever you spell it for 50 us dollars no lie
"Symmetrical on both sides"!
*surprised Pikachu face*
Hi
😍
I was able to get a Perses for $40 usd
your large lol jk... definitely a cheaper way to paintball inexpensively, I've seen a 150 upgraded modded hopper style 3d printed
If you own this, just don't play it outside too much and prepare to have a lot of money, you literally have a 99% chance to lose every rival rounds in it, the money is to have to buy more rival rounds, specifically for 50 rival round pack
I wish I could find them for 100 I can find them for 130 at that price I just buy something bigger
This is the blaster which I hate in the last stand
This fricken guy is complaining that RIVAL blasters have bad accuracy. They may have the hop up but the groupings are close together and you can fix your aiming accordingly to the hop up
HES HE NEVER USED A NERF GUN????
Rival is absolute garbage past 40 feet.
Have you ever seen a stryfe shoot past 20 ft?
@@cheesebiscuit1493 dart zone pro with bamboo darts will shoot far more accurately.
2:05 thank me later
Heyya. now, this time my brain was able to focusing on what are you talking about. not the background music.
I don't understand the bias against Rival. Yes, the balls lose accuracy at long range but damn most of the crap stock blasters you review (except DZ Pro, Worker, etc.) literally fart darts out that struggle to even hit 50 ft most times unless heavily angled and not even very accurately at that. I may be wrong but its almost like you hold Rival to a higher standard...🤔
Nerf rival inaccurate?
Beyond 35ft yes.
