- In this video I show you how to build engine mounts for your custom hotrod car or truck. If you are trying to fit a v8 into your truck that had a little six cylinder. I fabricate the mounts and tig weld the mounts while trying to keep them looking not to out of place.
On this channel I am building a 1936 GMC truck with a flatbed. I am putting a aluminum block 5.3l engine in place of the six cylinder. I show you lots of fabricating techniques on this channel to help you finish your truck builds.
That's one heck of a motor mount. You planning on having 1500hp?? The whole bottom could have been left open for much easier access.
True I kinda liked the look of it boxed in
Great job. Love the blind tack tig welds. Very impressive.
Thanks that was hard for sure
That is one hell of a nice motor mount !
Thanks little overkill but it works
awesome job. looks great!
Thanks I appreciate it
Gracias por compartir.
Saludos.
Thanks
What size thickness is that metal to make the mounts ??
I’m pretty sure it was 1/4” but maybe 3/16”. I would trust either size if it’s boxed in
@@showmetrucks7113 was thinking of doing 3/16 square tubing to plate steel for my project . Reason why I asked , but thank you appreciate it !
nice welding
Thanks
Pardon me sir, I am an extremely wealthy man, with a love of old vehicles and am known to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for custom restoration work. Are you currently taking customers?
I love my janitor job too much right now
Nice job! I can’t wait to say, “ITS ALIVE!”
Another 2 years and maybe it will crank over
Engineers should have to repair the stuff they design.
