Not a fan of electric blankets for many reasons, I am using an antique copper hot water bottle instead that I bought for 5 Euro at a flea market 10 years ago. Fill it with hot water before bed time- warm bed/feet all night long (I don't heat my bedroom, and sleep with open windows in Winter as well) There are Latex hot water bottles too- but the antique copper ones are just fantastic!!!
I absolutely love having gadgets that save money instead of having someone else do it and hell yes to everyone that posts on UA-cam much appreciated. I am learning a lot.
We do a lot of the same things. I have 2 teenage daughters. I bought them reusable pads that have a black liner. You can’t even see the blood but they hold a lot. Both of my daughters love them because they are so soft. It also saves a lot of money. I used a menstrual cup myself before I hit menopause. We hang our clothes on a line but in Arizona it’s always hot. I bought a metal safety razor that costs maybe $10 for a years worth of blades.
@@loveandjoy810 it’s amazing how big the range of washable menstrual products is now, I will be doing this with my two daughters once they’re at that age as well.
I had a heated blanket a few years ago and absolutely loved it however, it literally only lasted a month for me before it broke.. you have to use it in a very neat and rigid way by just placing it over yourself without creasing it, where I just wanted to wrap it round myself and get nice and snuggly; this snapped all the elements inside it and ultimately it stopped working…. Much more recommend a good hot water bottle.
Hi ! I'm from Paris and hairdresser prices are just so expensive. So I learnt to trim and to colour my hair ( only roots ) , especially I like to keep it simple. I think that preparing your own coffee at home in a nice " take-away coffee" mug to take it along with you is a good idea ( as a Parisian I'm anit- Sturbucks" ) . Love your vlogs ❤
Hi Vicky - I invested in one of those heated throw blankets last year. After looking around I was able to pick one up for about £35. Absolute game changer in heating the human and would definitely be in my top ten of most valued things I’ve ‘spent-to-save’
One of my favorite things is my heated blanket. We actually put ours on our mattress in the winter under the fitted sheet. It keeps us from having to use the heat at night and it’s so cozy! Never a cold spot on the bed!
I've had a heated mattress cover for years. Really worth it. I've bought a heated blanket for the sofa, I've still not put the heating on 🤣 I do my own nails. But I can't swap to reusable period products. I have endometriosis so I have to be careful. Maybe I'll be brave enough one day 😊
I loved these tips, Vicky! I’m particularly grateful for the extendable window cleaner one. It looks like an easy and quick job, and I’m taking advantage of the Prime Days to order one. ❤
I promise that your Le Creuset pot will last forever. I have had mine for over 40 years and I still use it all the time. It was a gift from my mum when I left home.

Great tips. Except the cloth air dryer I use all you mentioned. I started using period cup two months with have to say such a game changer. Not just save money but i feel so much comfortable during that week and zero leak in the night 👍
I’ve been learning how to grow plants from cuttings to expand my garden and fill in gaps. I also propagate indoor plants to give as gifts to people. I look for unique containers in op shops to use as pots. I don’t buy cards anymore I will make a tag for gifts or if for a person is special to me I will watercolour paint on cardboard to make a card. I’m no artist but watercolour paints are very forgiving and a simple flower or cake picture is easy to copy. Cards in Aus average between $5 and $7 now and most times people don’t keep them so they its money into the recycling bin.

I buy bar of soaps to use in the shower and bath (body shop). They last so much longer than shower gel
I keep thinking I must try this swap!

Love my electric blanket a lot better than central heating as focusing heat on me. Only use central heating for 1 hour on very cold days.
I'm thinking one would be a good investment!
I've just started making mug cakes in the microwave. I'm sure it must be cheaper than buying shop made cakes.
That's an awesome idea!
Where can I buy that bag of soap liquid?.. never seen one in the shops
I get them at the supermarket, next to where all the soap is. Tesco and Sainsbury's sell them.
Amazing news!!! ❤
Thanks!
Wait what is that air clothing drier thing? Just a rack or is it heated?
It's heated. It's basically a big radiator, warms up our living room when it's on too.
