I liked the zoom. G5n and bought it after your review last year of the G3xn. . but this sadly does not give that wow factor when u compare it even to the zoom g5n and just looks like a modified touch screen disco version of it. .. and a bit highly priced at $799 ..
it also feels a little left way behind by line 6 pod go .. and mooer 300 .. I don't think it stood any chance...
Hope zoom comes with a better looking and a wow processor that they are capable of doing...

Easy way to fix the cab on or off problem.... have an out put for FOH and a separate output to plug into an amp...... like the Pod GO, then they can be on all the time.

"People sometimes are dumb, won't notice it and they think it sounds like shit"... yup. I'm fairly new to guitar and I'm concentrating on learning the instrument and just barely enough about sound production to get by. Otherwise it's too much to take on all at once. Further down the road maybe I'd be able to hear the difference between a 1x12 and a 4x12 or different microphones, but for now I'm learning scales, progressions, picking techniques, etc. The world needs sensible defaults.
Separate outputs for Mixer and Amp. This is what I have on my DigiTech Trio+ and on the NuX Loop Core (before I returned it)... then the device knows whether to turn on amp / cab simulation or not based on how it's hooked up. Then if you use the mixer output to your amp or the amp output to your mixer it's on the dumb user.
So many of these out there now, cant keep track
Set up each preset with cab off or on.
I have one delivering Friday. Firmware is at 1.4. We'll see if they have patched this.
There is a button on the unit that switches off all cab emulaions

To be fair this Zoom rep is a cheeseball if he can't answer these questions. Zoom deserve to go bust if this is how they plan and release stuff.

Zoom look amateur releasing a product without thinking about these things. Also this units been out for a while and yet no updates for models or fx to download. Zoom are seriously on a road to shit show this way
OTOH, their UI is class leading, as is the forethought of being able to change amp settings on top row and have dedicated stomp controllers. Both of those I wanted and now have. So there is that .... And yes, the rep should not be there. Not the best face....
