When constructing your toastie (or jaffle), butter the two pieces of bread then place one piece on top of the other (buttered sides together) - continue construction 😉
These portable packs are the future for most of us. We've been using our own battery packs for years and it's about time the manufacturers caught up with dedicated units. My only suggestion would be to add a dedicated high-amp Anderson input, a simple vehicle modification that would juice this thing up on a drive in a fraction of the time.
You made it really simple to understand how the power station works. Thanks.
Love the "Blend 43" comment... gold!
I got two of these for hurricanes and a cheap gas generator to recharge them when the sun can`t. They work well with dorm fridges and half size freezers.
Fridge , rice cooker, smoothie maker , all snall smart equipment batteries, very usefuk indeed. Ive got a no name brand one , it works really well!
I have a red Powertech 6 in 1 Power Station I bought about 7 years ago. It’s got a lead battery but It features a 900A jump starter, an Air compressor, LED work light, 2 12V power ports, single USB port and a 400w 240v inverter. I’ve taken it camping for years. Runs lights music, sat tv and the compressor for the beach. I use an esky not a fridge. I’ve never seen anything like it for sale since I bought it until I viewed your vid. Obviously not a patch on capacity of Lithium unit. Maybe time to upgrade and get a fridge.
Very cool to have the compressor built in to the unit - sounds like it was ahead of its time! 🙂
Looking forward to your next video on the unit running your set up. Definately interested how it goes with your fridge.
Thanks for the vid!
great! information I think i might get one, makes my life much easier
For the 2 DC barrel connector inputs you can use a adapter that goes from the barrel to another 12v cig input. Very handy. I also have the EB70 and LOVE it. I use a Baldr 120 folding solar panel with it.
Great suggestion for converting the DC outlets!
It's pretty well priced (even compared to AGM) when you start adding all the costs of inverters and wiring (never mind the labor).
I think it will cover my needs which include charging several 56v,40v, and 18v batteries for my work tools on a daily basis as long as it's connected to a solar panel. none of my chargers are over 500w draw.
Literally wanted one of these for a pod machine and you had me covered 😂
Hello ! I Like This Power Station ! I Want To Buy One ! . .It's Seems Very Good ! ..Thank You So Much For The Review. ! (sorry for m'y English) 👍 From Downtown Montreal ⚜️🇨🇦 👋👋🤗 🤩🥰💞💞💞
Great review. Can you use this while it's charging (via solar) and could you run a house fridge from it?
NSW envying WA weather 👍 good video mate
Thanks mate! Yeah we've had a warm start to the season, going to be a hot summer I reckon. ☀️
Just want them to incorporate anderson plug both in and out. Nice review and I am waiting for a unit slightly more powerful and the anderson plugs issue
I will definitely be getting one of them. Thanks for the video
unlimited power!!!
Thanks for the review. It sure is a nice power station but it would be nice if we install or attach an expandable battery.
716 Watt-hour means that you can continuously run 716 watts of power for up to a hour before the battery is flat. Just say you were only using a quarter of the watts, so 159 watts continuously, you will be able to run for 4 hours total
only has 85% efficiency though so 608wh in practice.
@@kingerz Is this stated in the product description? Had a look and couldn't find. And is this typical among LiFePo4 batteries?
hey mate great review. but I have a question. can you use the station while its being charged by solar or wall socket? so that the fridge can keep getting powered? that's probably my biggest concern. cheers!
Yes you can...pass through charging is a standard feature.
I really like the Bluetti EB70. It's just the almost 5 hours recharge time that's killing me.
Which power pack is quicker
Did you end up doing the comparison with your 100Ah AGM ?
I just ordered another AC adapter from Bluetti just to make it charge quicker. Kinda feel ripped off.
How will devices like this perform if I'm living in a 4 season state like Michigan with cold winters??
Can it be left in my shipping container work shop or would AG battery setup idea better for the money & turnover of equipment?
Thanks for the great review! Im new to all of this and really need to know if I can run my Bushmans SC35-52 fridge through the 240v plug instead of the cigarette port as I think the cigarette port will get too hot. What are the implications if I do that?
That should work fine, the only downside is that you'll be 'wasting' a bit of power as there is a loss when converting to 240V power using the built-in inverter (probably not enough to be a problem though - depending on how long you need it to run for).
Can you add an additional battery to increase the capacity? I see some of these portable power stations now all for that.
Wow! We must be able to use a kettle too no?
How long could you run your fridge for roughly
Hi Mate,
Looks like you reviewed the Australian version, is this has the issue same as US EB70 where the screen goes off very quickly?
Hi mate, yep it does turn off pretty quickly on mine too
Not mine...Australian model and screen is on for around 30 - 40 seconds. How much more time do you need?
Great review, thanks! Just wondering - do you know what's involved in replacing the batteries if they were to fail in the future? I don't want to have to throw the whole box out, but I don't want the "tesla" mentality of seeing battery replacement as their bread-and-butter money maker.
That's a good question - the unit seems fairly sealed so I don't think they're designed to be replaceable unfortunately.
What about a microwave ?
so, ill be buying a cheap 33lt fridge, would i be able to power this fridge with a power station for short weekends away/4nights? Considering this is my everyday vehicle, i don't want to make any permanent changes just yet and have a basic camp set up atm. thx
Hi mate, it will depend on fridge brand, ambient temperature and how often you open it but you should be able to get 1-2 days of use on a full charge. If you're charging it throughout the day via solar or 12v while driving then you could extend this to longer use. Hope this helps!
Thanks, great video! One question though, is this good enough to charge your standard ebike?
It definitely should be! Just check the wattage of the ebike charger, anything under 1000w will work 🙂
716wh x .85 = 609wh of charge available so it doesn't fill a 625wh battery quite. Close though.
Can it charge and discharge simultaneously? I'd like to use a unit like this in the back of my ute as a portable dual battery system. Fridge plugged into bluetti unit whilst it charges from cig socket.
it sure can
Just ordered one of these. Nice that Bluetti actually shows us Auzzies some love. So many other products i would happily of given a shot but just are not available here. My main usecase is powering laptops and other small stuff. Would most likely use the USB C/12v outs way more than the actual inverter but its great its there if you need it. So using this more as a massive power bank than a solar generator. Was also looking at the larger AC200P but that only does 60w on a single USB C Vs this which does 2x 100W. Also this is way more portable. May end up getting a second one
Any suggestions on a portable power station that can run a coffee machine. I know I will be off grid but need my coffee
Bluetti's AC200P has an inverter that's twice the size (2000w) which would be more than enough for a coffee machine, but it is a bit more pricey. www.bluettipower.com.au/collections/portable-power-station/products/bluetti-ac200p-2000wh-2000w
Better off using an espresso pot and a cheap camping stove probably or pay 2.5K for the 2000w one. Oh there is a 1.5k one too.
Hey ya never did the follow up on the Bluetti. Not too stoked on it? Cheers
It’s been working great, just used it tonight to run some lights during a video shoot 👍 I usually like to use a product for at least 6 months before doing a follow up review so will hopefully put one together soon 🙂
@@explorebound I am keen to see it when you get around to it!
Hey! How did you go with long term usage of this box? Been thinking of getting one to power a car fridge when parked up and off grid, so I don't need to install a dual battery system.
Cheers
Hi Ashley, I found the unit worked really well over the past year or so, the main thing I used it for was keeping all my camera gear charged, but it would be perfect for your use case and will probably run a standard 40L fridge for about a day depending on temperature and how often you open it. Only thing I will mention is to be careful not to overload the inverter by running anything above 1000w on the 240v outlets. 🙂
Just bought a BLUETTI EB70 - ran my 60L fridge/freezer for 48 hours with the big B...went from 80% charge to 40%. I'm very happy with mine - no dual battery system in my BT50!
@@rossholmes178 Sounds solid. 2 days is perfect. What temp was the fridge at?
@@coachjohn2190 Hey there...was away camping last weekend - cold and wet Southern Tablelands of NSW. Fridge was set to 3 degrees Celsius. BLUETTI ran the fridge (and some LED lights, phone chargers too) for the weekend without any recharge or top up and got home with over 40% charge...I'm happy with that.
Would it charge an E-Scooter?
Can this be used as a UPS?
IMO these units suit the more casual camping crowd, those that have subaru type SUV and not so much proper 4wds, where typical campsites they frequent are a short walk from car where the carpark is gated from the site. They typically have low power requirements, just a few camp lights, few phones and torches and not even always a fridge as they lack the space and will probably rock an esky or a tiny fridge at that.
These are not cost effective for larger power requirements . They also can't be tucked out of the way into dead spaces , under bonnet or tray etc. They remind me of apple products, very sleek and elegant solution which are easy to use and understand user interface but lack the customisability and functions power users want.
They actually seem to be decent value for lower power requirements. Try to piece together a 56ah Lifepo4 capable of 100A discharge, 1000w PSW inverter, 240v charger, mppt regulator, enclosures , usb, usb c pd sockets and shunt based battery monitor. I don't think youll be be far off or even beat it.
Definitely agree mate!
Can you charge with the Solar Panels and use it at the same time ?
Yes
Hahaha. Watch out people might believe you about the hack for a perpetual power unit. 🤣
Get the cords you need with it? Or they charge extra for that?
All the cords to charge the unit were included (240v, 12v and solar)
@@explorebound fair enough for you, but what about for someone who BUYS it. Ive asked the same question to bluetti australia.. i got crickets. No phone number eithet. Dodgy?
www.bluettipower.com.au/products/bluetti-eb70-portable-power-station scroll down and click on "Tech Specs" - tells you everything it comes with.
I bought mine and it came with everything required.
Can it power a 36L camping fridge?
Yep! I ran my 40L Waeco off it for a weekend 👍
wonder how long this could run a fridge for
It will run a standard 40L camping fridge for a day or so depending on outside temperature and how often you open it 🙂
@@explorebound thanks to you
@@OTPpride I guess in theory if you leave the solar panels in, it will keep charging the fridge without ever running out.
The cigarette lighter cord won't fit into a Renault master port? Does anyone else have this problem?
A Renault?😂
@@mickey69pwhat's wrong with a Renault? It's a brilliant brand with a rich history. Wake up...
Glen 43?
Blend 43
The inverter is 700 watts, not 1,000. As you state. The EB70S has an 800 watt inverter.
Hi David, all specs were taken from Bluetti directly, here's a link to the EB70 (1000w rated, 1400w surge): cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0558/1199/7864/files/EB70-new.pdf?v=1644572363
Just looked into this furthar David - the inverter size varies according to country. The model I show in the video is the Australian version and has a 1000w inverter as stated. US versions have a lower inverter rating (800w for the EB70S as you mentioned).
Hi David, you could be confusing watt-hour with max wattage.
Had an issue with short error after fifteen days of purchase. Rubbish staff.
Can it run a PC?
Yeah it could easily power a PC :)
@@explorebound thanks, but for how long and also how fast will it charge with solar panel
A 200W solar panel will charge the unit from empty to full in 5.5hrs on a sunny day. Hard to say exactly how long it will run your computer as each PC will be different - this Bluetti unit has 716Wh of power.
@@explorebound thank you so much you’ve been very helpful
Please REPLY ASAP. Can you take this in your check in baggage on a commercial flight ???? I need to know NOW please!!
You’re best to call and check with the airline directly I’d say - I know they’re funny about Lithium Ion batteries, but LiFePO4 might be ok, hard to say without hearing from them directly though.
Wow - demanding some?!?
@@pajohns yeah wtf....
I suppose if they don't allow it, you could DEMAND to see the captain ASAP, and throw a tantrum until you get your way.
Don't butter the bread, butter the machine instead.
Does it power a bug zapper? Haha.
Could probably power 10 of them and have the most bug-free camp around! 😂
Looks like a pretty good power station but nothing really stands out. It does what it is supposed to. I got the River Pro which is cheaper and has more capacity.
Nice one! The River Pro looks good, only downside I noticed was that they're Lithium-ion instead of LiFePO4 and are only rated for 800 charge cycles to 80% compared to the Bluetti's 2500 - both good units. 🙂
Not worth the money I think
Here in hurricane country it can save my home grown vegetables if the power is out for two weeks. 500 for a 54 amp hour LiFePO4 battery, MPPT charge controller, and 700 watt pure sine inverter with two 100 watt type C chargers is a steal. Check the cost of buying them yourself and building one.
How many charge cycles for the price buddy. Not worth it.
Hi mate, 2500 charge cycles to 80% 👍
overpriced to buggery
