I'll do you one better. My friend would burn OC Remix songs on CDs so for years I had no idea what this song was even called cuz he'd just throw stuff on there. I only knew this song as Track 17 and then I saw haloid, no joke, probably like 5 years after the fact and almost CRIED when I heard those piano notes again lol
Played this on Windows Media Player when I was a kid. Just sitting there and scrolling through the visualizations… Almost a different life.
I'm so glad to see i'm not the only one who had trouble finding this song. Back in high school i only knew this song as "Track 17" because my friend made a bunch of OCRemix albums but never knew all the names. Then i heard it in Haloid like 2 or 3 years after high school and I lost my mind lol

This is easily one of my favorite OCR mixes, even more so since it's a Red Soil remix! Consider yourself worshipped!

I think this is better than One Girl in All the World, but, they're both awesome and a couple of my favorite songs. I also think it's amazing that these two with such different moods and style come from the same track. Go The Wingless.

Like, it's very different. Most of this series remixes are all metal or techno or more intense, whereas this one is rather cheerful and relaxing. That's something I don't find myself knowing I wan't until it's right in front of me.
Good points. Almost every remix tends to have this cliched, too clean, techno/house/dubstep/ etc vibe to it. This song is over 13 years old and maybe it's simplicity is why it is appealing to those to are into this.

And I thought "All the World in One Girl" was made by some other remixer, as some kind of cruel karmic joke. I'm amazed that TheWingless also came up with this one. And it *IS* quite a different take on both "Brinstar (Red Soil)" AND the "One Girl in All The World" remix.
The original remix had lonely overtones, while this one seems happier.

@Latheralius i fail to see how it being a portable game would change the mood at all. i wont deny that this is a good song, great even, but i dont think it goes along with the ending of other m very well. maybe a lighter-hearted metroid or one with a happier ending, but not other m.

Yes, you can see them in the ending of either Fusion or Zero Mission (I don't remember which) if you beat the game fast enough (as is the Metroid tradition in the older games).
