@@arresthillary9502You sound like a very bitter person. He was very good, and his boss and family created a wonderful opportunity for him. He did say that he doesn't mind failing and that what's important for him is reaching for the stars. Boundaries among loved ones aren't always good.
I could listen to his voice all day!! One of the best natural voices I've heard in a long time! Well done family etc for getting him on The Voice!!! Hope he makes lots of albums!!
Unfortunately it was probably staged. I’ve seen UA-cam channels talk about their experience auditioning for the Voice and having to switch songs midway through or have them make up drama. Now this isn’t the Voice U.S. so it might be real but who really knows. 🤷🏻♀️
He said in the interview that he used to do live performances until COVID happened, then he had no income. I believe he had a lot of experience performing live and must have continued practicing. Music seems to be his passion and I'm glad he is back in this path
Wow! I grew up in the 60-70’s,( in Minnesota-Dylan’s home state),a Dylan fan! You really did Dylan proud. Yet had an incredible individual artistic interpretation. Yet maintain the true essence of the song. Your voice! Your own. Thanks for the journey.
Watching from the UK must have listened to this audition 50times, goosebumps every time. This guy has definitely won I can't wait to hear more hope he releases an album
As a Belgian, I think that's also because English (in most cases) is not our first language and those swearwords don't have as much weight and meaning when used in sentences than if we were to say the same words in our own tongue.
Oh my.gosh . He is absolutely amazing, great . His voice is amazing. My.gosh his voice is a stunning one of a kind . My.gosh . I am a huge fan from.usa . .. his amazing great .
Yes, Dylan wrote it and Hendrix was a master at playing the guitar and singing the lyrics. I was a young teenager when he released this song. Vietnam was a scary reality in every household with young teen sons. The government did not hide the number of coffins that rolled out of the big cargo planes. New soldiers flew in and many times the same young men flew out in boxes. Now they hide the casualties from the American public so we don't always know our loses. My interpretation of this song is about the watch towers that US GI'S built in order to watch "charlie", or North Vietnamese soldiers as they traveled by dirt tunnels to ambush US troops. Many young men died trying to stay alive. Many were tortured and killed. My older brother was drafted and choose the marines as his service. He narrowly missed Vietnam and was trained to be a marine security guard for Nixon and Kissinger during their visits to Hondura and Guatemala. When my brother returned to the States he was so happy.
Ik was helemaal verbaasd dat hij toch zo'n gigantisch mooie stem had terwijl hijzelf zei dat zijn stem 'nie zo goe was' - wat een prestatie dit te kunnen afleveren van de ene op de andere seconde! Hoogachting! 👏👌
@peter I’m old, I live in the UK. I was born in England. I agree with your comment but the judges? Not knowing something so fundamental? I wonder if they know who wrote Adele’s hit “to make you feel my love”. Probably not. I’m not really judging them, I’m just amazed.
They definitely knew. It didnt come off quite right the first time I saw the video because it cut off the judges parts in the initial video but when I found this one they mentioned the artists tied to it which I was really glad to hear! It would have been a reap shame if they hadnt known.
I literally didn't recognize the song at all, I guess that's a good thing? He made it his own. He has a very unique stunning voice. I would be interested to hear another cover from him to see if I can tell the original song without being told. I think it's really hard to cover songs everyone knows cuz you expect it to sound a certain way, so when someone comes along and totally changes how a song sounds it completely changes the song, makes it new again in a way. That is very hard to do and not something you see often.
@@Atrociousnes You did hear French! There ARE are a lot of French loan words in Belgium. French and German are also two of the three official languages of the country. 😊
And this is how you end up on a famous little show called most wanted as a missing person...how creepy but maybe misinterpreted blind audition lol....great job on the singing though!
Hah. It’s Belgium. Technically it’s The Voice van Vlaanderen, for Flemish-speaking Belgium. The judges for this season were Koen Wauters, Mathieu Terryn, Natalia Druyts, and Jan Paternoster.
What did you think of Laurens' Blind Audition? ✌
Why you exclude voice Generations from best of the week?! Voice Lithuania generations is going right now
❤ it ❤❤❤❤❤
120% excellent!!!!!!🏆🏆🏆🏆
What a voice! And he really made the song his own.
Wow, he has a great voice.
His boss and employer deserve props for pushing him to do this. Apparently employees are treated like actual persons there.
too bad he wasnt very good
nobody deserves props for pushing anyone to do anything. they should respect other people's boundaries and mind their own business
All European companies do

To have no idea you're auditioning and yet pull THAT out of your hat?!?! So impressive. So natural. Wow!
Thank you for the English subtitles! What a crazy setup for a blind audition, and he did so well. 👍
Double-blind!
Love to see more international and non english auditions like this in The Voice Stage. Thank you ❤
There are voice competitions all over the world!❤
@@spiritthingw Yeah, I mean hope they select non english auditions and feature them in this segment of this channel. Sorry for the confusion 😊

Yes! His voice is amazing
If this is real and he put on that performance not knowing he was going to perform. No warm up, no practice....incredible

I really doubt that he did that without a warmup

I speak only English,so hopefully you understand my comment about this incredibly talented artist! Love love his voice!!
Pretty much everyone speaks English. You're welcome.
Thank you for the English subtitles! I enjoy a lot of these international Voice auditions but miss understanding what they are saying Thanks again!
I like how they can swear and not get bleeped. That gives me a solid impression about that countries government and its social vibe. I like it.

Went in cold and killed it
What a voice! An absolute joy to listen too
it must be amazing to have such support. They literally pushed him into it and he is sooo good.
The kind of performance where you make the song yours own. LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!
THAT'S a wonderful twist. i could enjoy one or two victims each blind audition episode...
To perform a Hendrix hit in a blind audition takes great confidence. He pulled it off perfectly. I think Hendrix would have loved it.
Acknowledge the OG Bob Dylan.
Bob Dylan composed that work. Jimi did a great cover performance!
That's like saying "Can't help falling in love" was UB40's song.
Song written by Bob Dylan and performed by Jimi Hendrix. Great cover! ✅

Great to see some non-English events from the Voice. More please.
Check out Norway. They have great voices
Merci pour ce moment....Laurens (de France)
Hes voice is a gem
Wow, well done on your audition and thank you to everyone who arranged for you to do it.
Thanks for the subtitle ! love this talent, love these coaches, just love it all !
i love this song so much and his version just blows me away
What a good surprise for us, his Voice is stunning ❤
It was a blind audition for both the singer and coaches 😂
What a great voice. It was perfect for the song. Also a great choice.
It's the best acoustic version that i have heard.
He’s a really good singer. One of the best versions of that song I have ever heard
One of my favorite songs. Great job! 👍👏
Yeah. You can file this one under Epic auditions. Nice Rare Find.
This guy is GOOD!!!!!!
What an incredible voice. wow.
👏👏👏 Well done, love his rendition.
Wow judges did not know who did the original or who wrote the song. Bob Dylan guys. Legend.
I understood it differently. I think he said he brought Jimi Hendrix and Pop to the original song, meaning Bob Dylan's song.
Jimmy's version was more played in europe...

Bravo 👏🏽👌🏽
Kept thinking of Jimmy singing and guitar
Me too. Had the 8 track. My brother brought it home from the Service. I was a kid.
Pas mal, j'aime la voix 👍👍
Great!
His got a great voice
I like his version more than the original. 🫶🏻
Awesome voice
double blind,,,,sweet
I conquer !
Haha when he opened he was on the voice😅
Geez!!!!
great
He did an amazing job. Maybe more talented people would be discovered if done by the Laurene's method 😂😂😂
Do the coaches know that that was Bob Dylan’s song which Jimi Hendrix adapted for performing?
What country is this one
Belgium. (Technically it’s The Voice van Vlaanderen, for Flemish-speaking Belgium.)
Ah I thought I heard german and French so I was confused
@@Atrociousnes You did hear French! There ARE are a lot of French loan words in Belgium. French and German are also two of the three official languages of the country. 😊

Jimmy Hendrix sang All along the watchtower

He didn't know he was auditioning the same amount I don't know I'm watching this video 😏
The only other person besides this kid to do a version I like is Dave Matthews
Isn’t this technically a double blind?
trying to work out what country this voice is in - so i could work out who the judges are - I hate google it kept taking me to australia

But don't you have to sign all sorts of release papers prior to performing?
Why is Jesse Pinkman from breaking bad a judge on the voice?
Where is this. Why do I hear German and French
Not sure about guy wearing pearls just the same.....
No offense but when i hear them speak. I hear the SIMS this is definitely the language hahaha
Production really trying to pull a fast one...neat. Lame try.
Hmmmm…..
He didn't look surprised when the blindfold was taken off. Likely staged. Nice singing though.
Blocking is absurd - what a waste.
good voice, wrong song
Naaaah....
It's a Bob Dylan song but Jimi Hendrix gets the credit. Sigh.
is it duch
Disgusting…
he butchered that song. yikes
Not at all. It was gorgeous.
