I have always wondered about getting a van like this to keep my tires and tools safely in and then tow my track car. Do you think this MB 2500 van with V6 could tow like a v8 domestic van? The Nissan cargo van also looks good for my purpose too. The Ford vans I don’t think could tow though their site says some can.
It's not rated for much until you get to the 3500 or 4500 models. All the lower trims max at 5k lbs. I recently just took delivery of a 3500XD awd. They are rated at 7500LBS but only if you have the 7500LBS crossmember option. I will say the savana/nissan nv can pull a lot more. (both north of 9k I believe) I will be using my van once upfit for track day support as well.
I've been a automotive technician for 30+ years. I worked for a Mercedes Dealership and other automotive brands. Now I have had my own shop for 23 years and I can tell you from experience the Sprinter, Promaster and Transit vans are over engineered and not good compared to a class c van chassis. Keep it simple folks and go with a American van chassis motor home. They are more reliable, less expensive and easier to maintain and repair.

Great video I Love the Mercedes Benz Sprinter Vans and I would definitely buy one and live in it as a camper van
Great video+explanation+presentation! Well done mate 🙏🏻
7:14 The camera system looks pretty good.
I'd love to have a sprinter van, this is huge! I'd like the smaller version. Be great for whatever. I'd love to haul my bicycles and or kayak etc

I see. Thanks for the reply and information!
Can I get this car?
No. The 3500 V6 diesel make far more torque and HP at 1100 rpm. The new diesel relies on low gearing and high rpm to get output.
The Van looks amazing, but I don't know about the price tho 🤔
is GAS bezine engine? We have in Europe, benzine, diesel engines and benzine can work on gas (air)
Leaking A/C

I have an express van, thinking of getting one of these for the height. What do you think?
I agree. I had a Mercedes Sprinter and lost about a foot of the exhaust pipe when I hit a New York winter pot hole. They wanted $7000 to fix it.
Or you could just spend a lot and be happier with the minor benefits. No one wants a van you can’t walk through.
