I was looking back at these old post from when I got my Ibanez RG 550 (neon purple) “Genesis” in 20’ now it’s 23’! As I stated a few years back I got my hands on a late 80’s Ibanez RG 570 w/ hard case back then in ( jewel blue) and still have it. It started my Love for Ibanez being a Steve Vai fan but never could afford a Jem 777 and still can’t! Years later I got an Ibanez RG 370DX in white w/shark tooth inlays and still play it today but it came from Indonesia and never satisfied my Fujigen passion. But my 20’ RG 550 (NP) is to this day my most prized possession! I purchased a factory Ibanez case for it and thought that if you spend $1k + for a guitar it should come with a case to protect it for we keep these guitars for generations and just a shame it doesn’t come with your guitar! Maybe one day I will find that JEM 777 or RG 8570 J custom!#Ibanez#RG#550❤@Joan
I appreciate that they spent the time to play these guitars CLEAN. There is no shortage of reviews of all sorts of guitars being played with a ton of gain. If I am making a decision to buy a guitar, I really want to hear it clean first. (Sure I want to hear it in low. mid and gain settings too, but too many videos don't give you the clean sounds at all.)
skubadoobie 9:02 they acknowledged it at least and showed us they have great tone for riffage ,I just played one, great necks 👍 .... 10:00 booty shakin ! 🔥
These are great guitars but I still prefer rg450m with edge zero II tremolo with spring claw in the back. I wish they were still made and came in that awesome purple color that the genesis guitars come with.
Being a RG fan too; RG 89’ 570(JB); 07’ 370DX(whitew/sharktoothinlaysonneck) and in 20’ I bought a new “Genesis” RG 550 (NP) and then had to purchase a hard case too for a $1k guitar? I know that’s not much for some guitar enthusiast but I paid notes on this guitar to get it; like an automobile and we (working class) keep them for generations! Just something in my opinion would be a great sales pitch for Ibanez to include! That's like asking if you can use golf clubs to play golf. These guitars were made to be played fast my friend! :0) and Paul Gilbert is an Ibanez artist

Unfortunately, they no longer make it in white. Having all four colours would be having cake and eating it.

Yes these are the original shred guitar that came out in 87. Reissued versions is what you see here
