I am excited to be going to see Lek, her staff and of course the beautiful Elephants next month! Have already been to Chiang Mai several times before. In March I made the mistake of visiting Maetamann Elephant Camp and was saddened with the cruelty, profiteering and commercialisation I witnessed there. I look forward to contributing and supporting Lek in my own humble way and by spreading the word of her dedication and love for these majestic animals. I wish her nothing but happiness and success :)Mai (And elsewhere) and support the love and kindness shown in parks like this

Great watching your visit..it makes sense that the elephants are so comfortable with people since they are not wild- I would also say that they seem to be very forgiving and even compassionate towards us humans to continue to allow humans to interact with them. It was also a treat to see the young elephants!

Learned a lot about elephants from your video didn't know they were so mistreated when used for tourist to ride . Keep up all the information from Thailand.

Hey Tori, just crashing out in kuala lumpur hotel room. This was such a nice video and great music. I love the baby elephants little squeeks. the place you went seemed nicer than the "be a mahout for a day" place I had seen other videos of. they just eat the whole F-in pumpkin. thats amazing! the shopping over here is off the hook. I got a cool artsy purse for 5 ringit, thats about $1

I cried so much. I love that you love the animals. So proud of you helping. Why were the bull/cows in mud??? Were they staying cool?

I guess I am not quite sure. We think they were water buffalo but not sure.

they kinda just do that. esp when its super hot, being deep in the water is a great place to be!

I love those sweet, juicy mini pineapples but $2 is very expensive! They were less than $1 last March. My local farmer's market in NJ has the 9" pineapples at $1.95 right now. Would you say that prices are steadily rising in Thailand although overall it is still a lot cheaper?

Pineapples in Thailand are very different than here in the states, though. Fruit is super juicy, sweet, and delicious.

Julie Bee , wow, I made that comment three years ago! Since then we have spent 2.5 yrs in Chiang Mai and moved out just before COVID locked everything down. Yes, they are super juicy and we usually paid ฿10-30 per small pineapple in the market there. Each one weighed about 1kg.

LEAP Lucys Edmonton Advocates Project Okay, that's great to know 😊😊😊😊 I thought I saw tons of meat on their plate .

Nope not a speck of meat. They have some meat substitutes but no meat at all. I volunteered there for a week so I am positive of this. That would go against everything the founder Lek believes in. :)

It should not matter if you are vegan or not. Besides vegans are usually malnourished. Very sad
