I’ve spent 41 years (so far) as an international flight attendant, I’ve seen the world and am still seeing new treasures all while being paid to do it; my idea of retirement is staying home, which is okay with me ! 🎉
John and Bev; you've changed my life! I've been watching your videos for about a year and after I watched your minimalist lifestyle and the Swedish Death Cleaning episodes, I slowly began the process of simplifying and downsizing. Now, a year later I have completed the process to sell /give away/ donate everything I own except my car and a roomful of stuff left at my best friend's house. It's the most liberating thing I've ever done and actually none of my friends thought I was crazy; they were supportive and a bit envious; some were even inspired by me to begin their own process of simplifying. The best part of the story is that once I cleared the physical clutter in my life, the mental clutter vanished too. And nearly immediately I was offered an amazing opportunity to go to Panama and work on a long-term nature conservation project. So, I'm learning Spanish and am leaving in June for my next adventure! Thanks so much and I'm happy you are enjoying South Africa. I may be leading a wildlife sketching tour there so I hope to head there this fall and do some volunteering there. Thanks for all your videos and the inspiration to follow my dreams! Hugs, Christine
The key is expenses. Low expenses, low amount needed for retirement. I have only averaged $50,000 a year over the last three years. Home paid off and no debts. This is less than 1% of my portfolio. Did all major work to my home back in 2020, new roof, siding, paint, along with renovating the bathrooms. Can get a fully subsidized ACA plan, keep my AGI in the 12% bracket and still live the life I currently do as a successful business owner. Just gotta keep that "Just one more year" voice out of my head. Retirement date, May 30th 2024.
You can do it. Can't wait for May 30, 2024. We are cheering for you. Thanks for following along with us. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
I admire your determination to stick to your retirement date despite temptations. I worked with a financial advisor to manage my investments, resulting in a $1m portfolio growth. Now, I'm confident about retirement and have savings for my daughter's education. Best wishes for your financial journey and retirement plans.
As a businessman nearing retirement with $2m to plan for, I'm feeling the pressure to secure my financial future. Could you share your advisor's name and contact details? Your portfolio's impressive growth under her guidance makes me believe she could greatly assist me in my retirement planning journey. Thanks for sharing your story, and I appreciate any guidance you can provide.
This one hit me HARD! I have been holding myself back for the sake of my grown children, waiting for them to need me...I travelled extensively as a young adult, before I had my own family and bided my time until I could get back on the road. Now that I am free of responsibility to others I have been dragging my feet. Watching you two at the New River Gorge (not far from my NC home), jumping, made me want to lurch forward again. I am alone now but no less excited about journeying out. Thank you for the swift kick in the pants!
So glad it was impactful. We wish you all the best with your journey and hope we can be continued inspiration for you. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
This is one of the best videos on retirement! My husband and I retired early and have embarked on our go-go years. We are having the time of our lives with lots of travelling. Just got into a conversation last week with someone still working in their seventies, not because they can’t financially stop, but they don’t know what they would do with their time. Just don’t understand it! My husband and I are taking on many of your recommendations. Keep posting. You are a great inspiration for all to realize what is possible!! Enjoy your journey, we’ll be tuning in!
Thanks so much for the kind words and glad you enjoyed the video. We love to make people think and hopefully inspire. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
Your video is so helpful, concise, and true! Following some of your previous advice and finishing Big Magic. I'm ready to plan a trip to Romania or Thailand now! Might join you on UA-cam. Solo female but not yet retired!
@@rclose23 You can easily travel on your own. Solo travelers tend to meet more locals and enjoy great conversations with others. People traveling in pairs or groups aren't so approachable and tend to live in their little travel bubble. There are nice people (and a few curmudgeons) all around the world. Go out and play!
I totally agree with the 3 stages of retirement. My sister died of cancer 3 months after she retired so I retired early at 61 and sold most everything and put the rest in a Pod container while I figured out where I wanted to retire. I went to Spanish language school fulltime the first 7 months and am now functional in Spanish which is spoken in 26 countries. I chose to retire in southern US but like taking several big trips a year as health permits. I was cured of cancer 7 months ago so I asked my financial planner to free up some money so I could travel this year now that I feel good. He did and Im so excited about my upcoming trips! I imagine my go go years are about over but only the Lord Jesus Christ knows. It’s so comforting to know my times are in His hands ❤ Thanks for the great videos!!
Thanks so much for sharing and following along with us. Sorry to hear about your sister. Many blessings to you. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
Such important points. My financial planner has retired clients living in care homes sitting on huge nest eggs that they never got to enjoy at all. I retired at 58 and started travelling at sixty. So glad I did.
Yes! Yes! Best video ever. There are so many videos on Time Money and Stuff, especially stuff - hoarding, decluttering, arranging, cleaning. What to pack, what to leave out, how to arrange, in what bags, the best stuff, the worst stuff, but hardly any videos on Expectations and Ego. As a solo woman traveller, I receive a lot shock and surprise that I am adventuring alone. It is harder and easier to travel alone. A lot of the ‘hard’ is letting go of expectations and ego. Fear will probably always be my shadow but I am not going to get less fearful by sitting around at home. It is amazingly wonderful that you have each other but just to tell folks, you can also have joy, adventure and creative travels on your own.
Thanks and so glad you liked it. We hear from many solo travelers (mostly women) and want to help encourage you as much as possible. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
Isn’t it liberating when you realize how great it is when you finally dance to your own beat? I was like that since I was a kid, and I just didn’t care what others thought lol. They picked on me, and I still didn’t conform. I consider myself soooo fortunate that I had the gumption to be true to myself. Because that’s the most important thing, right? I love that about the two of you. Keep on trucking, and loving your life. Peace and love to you both.
Thanks for the kind words and yes it is so liberating. Thanks so much for following along with us on this journey. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
More and more people might face a tough time in retirement. Low-paying jobs, inflation, and high rents make it hard to save. Now, middle-class Americans find it tough to own a home too, leaving them without a place to retire.
Thanks for sharing. We try to encourage people to get out of debt, downsize, and live within their means so that they can experience more in their retirement. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
The increasing prices have impacted my plan to retire at 62, work part-time, and save for the future. I'm concerned about whether those who navigated the 2008 financial crisis had an easier time than I am currently experiencing. The combination of stock market volatility and a decrease in income is causing anxiety about whether I'll have sufficient funds for retirement.
This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000.
There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Colleen Rose Mccaffery” for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
Bev and John, seriously, this was a great episode. A real “come to Jesus” call to action for those waiting on the sidelines and living vicariously through your videos. Thanks for the wake up call.
Such wise words and so very true! We are retired couple, heading to Greece, New Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Croatia, and Slovenia in a few weeks. We are just going and spending as much time at each place as we want to get to know the culture and the people. Super excited and Nervous but that is what makes it fun. A high Adventure awaits. Thank you for your wonderful videos and encouragement. We all need a kick in the behind to enjoy the life we have while we still can. Blessings
Thanks and have a great trip in the Balkans. We did a number of blogs on our website from our trip to the Balkans a couple of years ago. Hope you have an amazing time. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
Well said !! Also when a person gets too defensive, their comfort zone for being adventurous start diminishing, their ability to do certain treks goes away. I would rathe travel the world at 60 than 80.
You know, I enjoy your content but the more I watch the more I feel like your preaching to the top 10% that have a nice corporate retirement plan, 401k, etc. I’ve always been self employed, lived modestly, put kids through college, saved some money but not enough that a professional financial advisor is interested. So at 70 I’m semi retired and love traveling internationally part time, but work to travel. Sometimes I’m lost on your exuberance.
Thanks for your comment! We totally get where you are coming from. We grew up in homes where our parents worked hard to send us to school and provide a good life. Bev's parents owned their own business and started it with nothing but elbow grease and a dream. We know everyone doesn't come to our channel with the same experiences, and while yes, I left a corporate role, I certainly don't mean to alienate anyone who didn't. Living your best retirement means different things to different people. Trying to reach a broad audience with varied backgrounds is not always easy to do. Everyone comes to the table with differences and we hope to include all thoughts, sorry if you felt we missed the mark. Thanks for watching! John & Bev
@@RetirementTravelers thanks for your honesty. Still enjoy your content. In the end , no matter our status in life we’re either going to retire or expire.
This was such a great episode! Thank you so much. We are 44 and 53 years old and planning to retire next year and do full time travel. Life is too short so we need to enjoy it however we can. From Tracy and Tony in Australia 🇦🇺
Hi, just want to say that I have found your videos to be inspirational as I am a 55yr oil who was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer less than a year ago. Everything I (and my husband) watch goes through this filter, and I thank you so much for telling us about Bev's health issues. You are both wonderful to watch.
@@RetirementTravelers Hubby and I talked about it after watching your video, and Florence, here we come this Fall!! :) Best wishes to both you and Bev.
We sold the house last month. Got rid of all our belongings. Booked the flight for June 5th, and we will start the new chapter in our retirement life. You were the inspiration.
We've interupted our go-go to care for our parents... sure wish they'd heard this message 20 years ago! Oh well, we'll get back out there & join you again soon enough. Thanks for this vid - true, true, true!!!!
This is the BEST video you've ever made in my opinion. Amazing and TRUE advice from someone who helps people retire every day. Thank you for this- we'll be sharing this video! ❤
I frequently tell people out “stuff” is just that “STUFF “. A storm can cause it all to be blown away then you don’t have anything. I’d prefer having memories.
When I was working and someone would tell me that they didn't put money into their 401k to realize the company match I would ask them what they had against "free" money. Seriously the number of "educated" people who didn't realize how valuable that asset was through the company I worked for was insane. Look at all those little things that allow you to save money, it is amazing what an impact they can make at the end when you decide to retire.
Thanks John and Bev. I have spent the last week having my house painted and my car is full of treasures for someone else. We are downsizing to a lock it and leave it place and will take two long trips per year. You have been in inspiration and I feel like I am playing offence getting ready to retire! One year to go!
Wonderful! We love hearing this. Good luck with your retirement and travel plans. Hope our channel and website can continue giving you helpful and useful information. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
Great video. I would only semi-disagree on one point: a financial advisor. I would stick with a fee-based planner every year or two. A financial advisor who charges assets under management will eat an absolutely shocking amount of money over time. Most people should have a simple enough portfolio that it doesn’t take much management but having someone do modeling for tax and long term planning updates every couple years can be worth it.
Thanks John. I needed to hear that message. I’m wired to save, save, save and protect ( play defense ). I’m comfortable and need to go on offense ( I’m 54 ). Thank you and thanks to Bev as well. Safe travels and safe health to you both.
With the thumbnail pic of John in his glasses pointing his finger I thought it was gonna be a lecture about saving money. What a pleasant surprise it was about spending it 😂🎉 I love your content. Thank you. Continued safe adventures!
This is a wonderful video! I am frugal in parts of my life, but I'm ready, willing, and happy to spend money on travel. I feel so alive when I'm out seeing and learning about new cultures, new (to me) parts of the world, and having adventures. I have NEVER regretted a trip I took, only those where I decided not to go. I've always been healthy but no one is guaranteed a future. Live every day like it could be your last and you'll never have regrets. My big problem is going to be spending down my savings and retirement income. Haven't really touched it so far and need to set a plan for how and when to pull the plug. Thanks for this great video and important prod to GO OUT AND PLAY!
You are spot on!! How many people are “living defensively”?!? It is a tragedy. Thank you for sharing your inspirational vídeos. This one is especially meaningful because it focuses on living fully, whatever that means to each individual. Thank you so much for sharing!!❤
Thanks so much for following along with us and glad you enjoyed the video. We do hope to inspire people to think differently about retirement. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
Spot on John. Well said. We meet too many people who are approaching or are even beyond retirement age who don't have the confidence or sometimes courage to take that vital leap into retirement.
Even though I find these videos very helpful, I really miss your travel videos about specific destinations- how you got there, information about that country, sights to see etc. I was looking foward to seeing some videos about Cape Town, my old home city....😊 Keep up the amazing work, but please keep sharing about the places you travel to as well- not just Travel School episodes.
Thanks for sharing your feedback and we will continue with the places we visit. The problem is that these are very time consuming and tough to do when we are on the road. We are a little behind. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
I love "go go, slow go and no go"! After the first time I heard you and Bev say it I've been using it whenever I discuss my choice to retire early and get on with my own crazy travel schedule. 🙂 Love your content and your adventures. Cheers!
Every day is precious don't put off for tomorrow. Over 60 everyday is a gift. You don't need the big house and the even bigger bank account 'Go with your dreams they know the way'
Absolutely superb! This is the sort of advice people coming towards retirement really need. It ought to be made compulsory viewing once you get to 50 .
Thanks for the kind words and glad you enjoyed it. Feel free to share it with your friends on Facebook or other social media. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
As a nurse since 1983 the most I ever made was $36,000 one year when I was a travel nurse. I have always lived comfortably and frugal. I find less is more. My largest expense now that I’m 71 and retired is my traveling. I’m making memories that will always be with me. In 2021 I downsized to a small townhome. I love the no maintenance aspect of my life. Keep the videos coming. A fan from Arkansas.
Great advice John. I am a decade or so away from retirement, I am in the sandwich generation phase of life. I see many of these behaviors in my in-laws and other seniors around me. Seeing the fruit of their choices and, by contrast, the fruit of your and Bev's choices is very motivating. I am ready to downsize my over full house.
You two are an inspiration! I think it's so fortunate that you are on the same page and seem very fond of each other. I have to admit, I needed the tissues after watching.
What a great video… I agree with all of your points… especially not to live your last years defensively and according to the expectations of others; I’m not talking about “being a rebel” but simply asking yourself “now that you have the time and hopefully a little money, what’s on your heart to do” and then do it. When all our children moved away to a different province at the same time I was retiring ( my hubby retired two yrs ago) we decided to sell our home and put our stuff in storage and do some travelling while we decided where we want to live. We’ve been technically homeless now for 6 months and realized the joy of freedom from stuff! Freedom from expectations! Freedom from yard care and home utilities and taxes and so on; so we are putting off purchasing another home for awhile…😮 Not having a settled routine is the trade off, but oh! we are having so many amazing experiences as we travel, and visit our kids etc. We have the freedom to say yes to so much more in life because very little is holding us back. Thank you for your encouragement! We are about 10 years older than you two and I can already see that our health is already becoming our main limiting factor… (no long hikes for us, our knees can’t take it), so we are trying to do all we can while we can and we’ll settle down later😊. Much love to you both!
Great video! I sold my home to help my mom. Ended my work years a bit early. Now it’s time to sell the estate home and get on with my life. The perfect little cottage just came on the market. Im fighting with myself about ego and stuff. The cottage is less expensive, less room and not where I’m expected to live at 68. Im so close to calling the agent. I’ve never been a follower but as you age you want or others want safety. But I think I want the adventure and freedom a little cottage will give me. Thanks as always for your positive outlook 🇨🇦.
I've watched this video more than once. Such good information and advice it's worth listening to over and over so that it sinks in. Playing offense in retirement is so important. The book "Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity" is indeed a great read. As you can tell by the comments you have been an inspiration to so many people, myself included. We all look forward to your inspiring and entertaining videos every week. And congratulations on all the mentions in various publications and on TV! You deserve to be heard by more and more people. Safe travels!
Thanks for the kind words and following along with us. Glad you are enjoying our channel. We do love inspiring people to live their best retirement lives. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
excellent, thought provoking video Guys. I have personally totally different approach: staying in my home, working in my 60ties (cause I love my job, not because I have nothing else to do) we are travelling a lot : at least 3 months in a year, but always coming home to relax before next travel, We love the way we managing high intensity part time job with keeping our "stuff"/house and doing gogo actvities at the same time. But I am just different with my different "ego". Still admiring your choice and your videos are always personal and interesting to watch 🙂
Thanks for sharing. There is no right or wrong way. We love sharing our approach, why we do it, and people can decide for themselves what works for them! Thanks again and many blessings. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
We do the same as we love our home hobbies being part of an orchestra as Sax players plus volunteering in a Toy Museum and golf. We like 3 mths max a year to travel.
Thank you, this is very good advice. I retired 2 years ago and have since traveled in Mexico and SE Asia. Due to the deteriorating state of government and lifestyle in Los Angeles, California and the expense of living in the US, I am contemplating moving permanently overseas. However, I’m paralyzed now about where and when to leave. I’m 62 now so I need to act soon for that big move during my gogo years. Are you all going to live permanently out of the USA?
We highly recommend you become a "flex-pat" for a year or so. Pick a few countries and live there for three months at a time, then go to the next. This roving lifestyle will let you experience different places without a big commitment. Our first thought would have been Costa Rica, but after going there, we'd move it down the list if we were picking one place. You might like this video: ua-cam.com/video/3qIKOCImvo4/v-deo.htmlsi=NKVs-z4rxnRY_Urg We think more people should go this route before picking THE place. Let us know what you think. We're happy to travel full-time now, but who knows where we will end up, probably the states because we can be near our kids. Thanks for commenting! John & Bev www.retirementtravelers.com
Excellent video John but I’m so accustomed to seeing Bev at your side, to be honest … it was difficult to stay focused on your message without her. As always, all the best to both, see ya next time!
YES! ALL good points! I recently stopped trading my own account and turned it over to Morgan Stanley so I could concentrate on traveling. Someday I’ll give your gal a call. I have downsized to all belongings fit in a car (well mostly, two more bins and most are tools.)😂 Trick for peeps having trouble letting go of souvenirs and bobbles… take a pic of it and you can visit ur “stuff”. I did that 10 yrs ago and I never looked at any of it. I don’t even know where that file is and don’t miss it. For now I’ll be traveling the states as I plan to branch out. Your videos are the road map that will inspire me how to do that. I am so grateful, thank you so very much. Cheers!
Thanks for sharing. We plan to do some more travel in the states as well. Hopefully our paths will cross some day. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
Fabulous video, John. My husband and I are planning to retire at 58...four years away!! We can't wait to travel like you and Bev around the world. We are scoping out places and going to Costa Rica for two weeks this month. Using your tech tips and packing list. Thank you for your inspiring ideas and super helpful info. You are the best!!
You have some amazing insight and very helpful information. I have zero problem letting go of stuff. I will be a solo traveler, so gaining the confidence is going to be big for me. Watching your vids (and few other creators) is boosting my courage. Thank you
You can do it! I’ve been to 40 countries, mostly alone. Just smile and say hello i their language. Going to language school is a great safe way to meet people and even do a home stay.
You can do it! We've met many solo travelers in our travels and want to help you anyway we can. Thanks for following along with us. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
this was a great perspective on the biggest retirement mistakes! I love it! My husband began traveling on business class overseas last year because we could afford it and why not? Our friends won't do it...But I ask them, "How many more trips do you have in your life"? Thank you
Great point. We realize everyone's situation is a little different. We just share our experiences. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
I just love this and I am as happy for you both as I am inspired by you as well! Thank you for taking us along and for sharing your wisdom on this amazing journey! 👏👍🏼🙏
Loved the video of your hike from Fira to Oia. We met you on the bus in Oia as we were getting ready to go do that hike and you were going for a run. Have been following you and Bev ever since!
So cool! Thanks for sharing that story. That was one of my favorite runs. Thanks for following along with us. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
Loved your content today on being offensive during retirement years. I think the point about letting go of our ego hit home for me. Thank you for these wise tips my husband and I will start following while going into our retirement years.
In the U.S. I think health insurance is one of the main reasons people don’t retire before 65. What do you recommend for affordable health / dental insurance for early retirement, for example between 55-65? Wife and I would like to do what you’re doing, travel US for couple years or possibly mix it up between domestic and international travel. Thank you for your videos!
Lots of good options for domestic and international travel. We have enjoyed both. Unfortunately, not so many good (affordable) options for healthcare between age 55-65. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
Thanks John. Great video. My wife and I were able to retire early and have been traveling in US and internationally. We’ve been planning our trips on our own but are excited to try out a UK company, Journee, which plans our trip and we don’t discover the destination until we get to the airport.
You guys have given me such inspiration! You both look so happy as you travel the world! 🌎 I’m hoping and praying that I can do what you’re doing in some form when I retire! God Bless you both! 😊
what an inspirational video - thanks for helping us all get to live our best life and step out of our comfort zone...you two set a fantastic path for the rest of us...well done!
Great video as usual! We agree with the go go/slow go/no go philosophy as well, but the arrival of grandchildren has made my wife slow our travel plans. So, I guess another important factor in retirement is to embrace inevitable change!
Thanks for sharing!! Everybody has different challenges and life comes at you fast. We just like to make people think and reflect by sharing our perspectives. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
We are retired military & never learned enough about investing or could afford to get a planner. So, sadly, many of us don't have a nest egg, but would love to see the world. Love your videos! We did get to take a budget trip to Portugal in April & loved it! Looking at options for our retirement.
I’ve been following your videos for a few months now and I must say you have got me thinking and you both are inspiring me to think differently about retirement. Appreciate your videos !
My offensive move? Check ALL my bags no matter how small when I travel. The last thing I need is to pull my shoulder slepping my bag in an overhead. I’m working on traveling bag free and have the fun of shopping when I get there. A new dress, a bathing suit, a skin care set. Enlightening!!!!!!
Almost 100K subscribers, John and Bev🥰👏Enjoy every one of your videos, lots of good information and quality, interesting content. You inspire so many of us👏!
You guys are simply the BEST. As an early retiree you give me so much in the way of validation, real & useful information and inspiration/ motivation! Your kids must be so thrilled to see you living your best lives! 👏🏻❤️ Thank you!!
Wow, thank you for the kind words. And yes, our kids are very happy for us and proud of what we are trying to accomplish. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
Wonderful video with some profound messages, John! Very reflective and thought-provoking stuff for many people, although I feel like we share these values already. Sending you much respect and best regards from the beautiful Ljubljana, Slovenia, where we are wrapping up our tragically short spring vacation. Hope to see you on the road one day!
Glad you enjoyed it! Ljubljana and Lake Bled are some of our favorite places in the world. Enjoy. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
So agree get moving & get in shape in retirement. I am 66 , my trainer is 72 and the fellow that trains before me at out local Y is 92. We are all in the best shape of our lives ( well maybe not 92 yr old Bob)!
Great info, comments and suggestions. We went throughout north America and loved every city...we started b4 retirement. Plans stopped at covid and medical issues...I was 71. It hasn't changed...chronic back pain is hard to work around. Still hope to devise no pain/pain schedules so travel is viable again. 20 yrs traveling...very few regrets...expanded locations being one. Still hopeful. Still satisfied.
Thanks for sharing and following along with us. Wishing you improved health for more travel in 2024. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
In today's video we discuss why retirement is not a time to play "not to lose" and why offense might be your best strategy!
The best defense is a strong offense.
Mindset to anything that matters is everything. This would be the most honest reflections on retirement i have seen. Thankyou.
I’ve spent 41 years (so far) as an international flight attendant, I’ve seen the world and am still seeing new treasures all while being paid to do it; my idea of retirement is staying home, which is okay with me ! 🎉
That is a great way to see world. Thanks for sharing.

Phew, one less non-rev to compete with! 🤣
Hugs, Christine
wow! What a story. Keep on rockin!
Great story. Thanks for sharing. Amazing job on the downsizing and changing your life up.

Well stated.

I admire your determination to stick to your retirement date despite temptations. I worked with a financial advisor to manage my investments, resulting in a $1m portfolio growth. Now, I'm confident about retirement and have savings for my daughter's education. Best wishes for your financial journey and retirement plans.

Great comment !

You’ve got to have someone you LIKE to travel and retire with. A lot of people are there.
@@lydiabolen7853 That’s awesome. Stay in touch and enjoy your journeys.

Your good health is the greatest asset you can have to take you into retirement, no matter how much wealth you have. Be good to your mind and body.

I have always said the same. Health is wealth🌱✌️
It’s so comforting to know my times are in His hands ❤
Thanks for the great videos!!

Yes!

Thanks a lot for this suggestion. I needed this myself, I looked her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
Bev and John, seriously, this was a great episode. A real “come to Jesus” call to action for those waiting on the sidelines and living vicariously through your videos. Thanks for the wake up call.

John & Bev

Thanks for sharing your perspective.

Freedom from yard care and home utilities and taxes and so on; so we are putting off purchasing another home for awhile…😮
Not having a settled routine is the trade off, but oh! we are having so many amazing experiences as we travel, and visit our kids etc.
Thanks for following along with us and we wish you good health and many blessings.

But I am just different with my different "ego". Still admiring your choice and your videos are always personal and interesting to watch 🙂

We are retired military & never learned enough about investing or could afford to get a planner. So, sadly, many of us don't have a nest egg, but would love to see the world. Love your videos! We did get to take a budget trip to Portugal in April & loved it! Looking at options for our retirement.
Thanks and best of luck for an amazing retirement.

Thanks for sharing your experience and strategy.

Soon they will be crazy jealous.
Enjoy.
