- So I was going for this FC... and missed a red note. One. Figured it was still a decent video to put up. Taking a break for now, hopefully I can FC tomorrow, though I have trouble with Verse 3...

this song has many tempo changes. they look easy to spot but when you are playing the song your mind still thinks you're at the old temp so you aren't even close to hitting the notes. its difficult but a good skill to have.
Haha. I love how calm you are when you miss it. Other people would have some extreme freak out afterwords, but you sit there calmly.

I'm switching my grip to hold the stick more towards the middle, and hitting the yellow pad with the tip, and the red pad with the butt end.

Easiest way to 4-star it using one pedal is pretty much save your overdrive for when you have constant kicks with RY, and just mack the hell outta that for points. For staying alive during the other fast bass parts you can just hit half of the bass notes and pretty much be alright. Helps if you can combo the ending as well, as far as getting 4-stars.
That two pads thing is pretty darn clever...may have to try it myself.
finally someone who knows what they're talking about. personally i like the stuff. but its good to see someone that even though they'e not a fan, knows that it actually takes alot of skill.

@hedlundkevin666 Midi , if you look the GHWT kit has a midi port so Just plug it into there, even if you are playing rockband, it will work the same

this is the first song on rock band that i think using double bass can be excused on, especially due to the fast part (the pattern that's at :41 to :50, and every time it comes up after it).
i know i've comboed that part with one foot and so have others, but it's legitimately fast enough that it's fine to use double bass there too if you like.
(no i am not putting this run down, duh)

yeah, that's what i was saying: but i mean, on SOME songs like Disturbed pack, the double bass is slow enough that you really don't need it, in any case.
here, that's not the case: it's much more viable to use double bass

yeah, i always used my left foot for support when drumming on Rock Band when i switched to real drums it made it awkward to use the hi-hat pedal correctly

I can keep up with this song just fine one-footed. My ACCURACY is pretty shit, but during the fastest parts I hold combo just fine. This song is 100% possible to do with one foot/pedal. The others, though...

you are amazing, but i want to know how (because it really looks like it from the vid) at 3:20 you manage to switch the red to the top left tom and switch the yellow to the right tom. Basically it looks like your hitting the red on the yellow pad and the yellow on the blue pad, or im just crazy :P

Is the double bass splitter just a headphone splitter? And would a Rb1 and rb2 pedal work for it? (Even though my rb1 pedal has a huge crack in it lol)
Idk if he'd be able to do that with a regular RB2 set. So this way his equipment does affect his FC.

I agree with you on that, the one time I did play Hammer Smashed Face, I didn't get very far past the 4* cutoff, but I can almost gold Panic Attack.
if you watch more closely, you'll see that when he hits the yellowpad with his left hand, he also hits the red with the bottom of his stick.
*If it's PS2, I'd say Guitar Hero, but only based from the reason that neither one can access the internet.
*PS3 or Xbox360, I'd say Rock Band, particularly on drums since if you got the RB1 set in another Harmonix game, you don't have to worry about the batteries.
*I'm not sure about the Wii, though. One is cross-compatible with another, but not vice versa.

i wish real drumkits had that kind of sensitivy as yours ... that would make for epic drum fills.

i think the rb1 stock pedal doesn't work. there IS an official double bass splitter, but a headphone jack works too. I don't know about the quality of one as opposed to the other though

which pedal should i get the destroyer or the rock pedal? i have no idea which one to get
plus there are tons of rock band players who use a double pedal. it's actually a good idea to have a double pedal if you think about it for this song. plus, it's not CHEATING, it's just HELPING them to get 100% on the song....

kruksog The double bass in this song is much faster than the rate at which he is going with them. If you dared try to use a single bass for this song (I'm talking about playing this song with REAL drums), I hope you know how to utilize the swivel method with your feet. And even with that method, you're still not going to get the right consistency as you would with a double bass. Add to that the change in tempo. Most death metal drummers utilize double bass in their performances, anyway. So I honestly think your argument is invalid.
Yes, back when it came out. These songs however, were charted with TWO pedals in mind.
AS for the whole two feet one pedal, that's not really something you'd do in real life while drumming, you'd just double bass.

At 3:24 the butt of the drum stick is hitting the red pad. He does this for consistency, but its still a hard maneuver.
double foot pedal is now allowed on RB2 they just realed a pack that has a big ass spilter that needs batterys.... i dont know why made they it so big but it also bring th e second foot pedal.
This song forced me to have to learn how to play with 2 feet on one pedal.

@TheDevilWearsNikeAir Haha. This song was made in 1992 and was on there second album (Tomb of the Mutilated). They didn't have much money obviously. And I think it sounds decent. They are very skilled indeed. Btw this song was made when they had Chris Barnes as the vocalist (just incase people didn't know).

i think he made his yellow pad's rim work like a red note.. so hes hitting the yellow and the yellow pads rim... (not sure tho)

What he means by one stick two pads is that when he hits with his left hand hes hitting the yellow with one end of the stick and the red pad with the other end of the stick!
I felt really sorry for him when this first came out. He came so close to an FC, and I'm sure it was a while before anyone else managed it.

It is allowed now, Rock Band even has an expansion pedal out with a splitter for double bass.

they're starting to chart doulbe bass, if you listen to some of the mayhem pack, they chart the double bass

No, like it says in the annotation, 1 stick two pads, you can see that he is hitting his snare pad with the back of his stick, just look at little closer. :)
