This cereal was SO good. They should really should have never stopped making it. We bought hundreds. We used to clip the bottom of the scan bar of the box because you could turn them in for rewards. I found a box in my attic one day of hundreds of those, and was like, "Wow, we bought that many (not including the ones we turned in)?" I wouldn't say it tasted like Reeces Puffs. Way better.
I had this cereal only once when I was about 6-7 years old at a friends house. Only once! I'm 38 years old now and I can tell you I can still remember the taste. It's like Reese's puff mixed with the grain bits from lucky charms. I would pay to eat it again. To me it's the best cereal I've ever had.
I'm old enough to remember watching it in theaters when I was 5 in 1982. The cereal was, straight up like reeses puffs but I remember it tasting more like peanut butter crunch, not as much chocolate.
this was my (honestly) my favorite cereal, of ALL-TIME!!!!! 💓💗💓💗 I would literally eat it all the time! 😄 it absolutely crushed me when it got discontinued.... I mean, totally crushed.... 😰 and, no, Reese's Puffs cereal did not even taste anything remotely like it.... well, not to me anyways.... thank you for making this video! E.T. cereal ~ 💞💞💞💞💞
I faintly remember having E.T. Cereal back in the mid '80s. I must have had it once or only a few times since the memory is faint, but I know I had it. I remember it being pretty good with the peanut butter and chocolate flavor, but either I didn't continue eating it if I didn't like it as much as my other favorite cereals at the time, or because I couldn't get it anymore after it was discontinued. I'm not sure which, but I'm glad I got to try the first peanut butter and chocolate flavored cereal!
3:05 How did you say "Good stuff" with a straight face! I loved ET when I saw it, but that main music was always hilariously impish. I remember that commercial, but never tasted it so didn't know it was Chocloate & Peanut butter flavours. "Good-Bye Ga-Bay" is TeeHee-ous!!
Here's a fact: The reason Mars passed the idea of having m&m's was because they thought people would be scared of E.T and they thought m&m's would not be as popular as before.
I loved this movie as a kid! I remember going on the ET ride at Universal which was really cool! I swear Gabe, it's like you read my mind! I was binge searching on UA-cam, like normal, and looked up to see if you had put an ET cereal video on your channel yesterday! Weird right?
I ate this cereal once when I was a kid and I do remember the commercial! Also was the Oops on the Captain Crunch box real or did you write it on there? Yes Ghostbusters video game! It was so corny to play! lol
is there a cereal today that is anything like 'Forified Oat Flakes?' You may have heard that Fortified Oat Flakes were very good. it is true. (The cover always had two tennis players on it. that left the market around 1979 or 1980... Other greats were 'Team Flakes', and 'Cinnamon crunch' (featured the pirate, from capt crunch)
+Preliminimal They were before my time, so I'm not really sure what they tasted like. But I will look into them and see if I can find any info for you.
I was recently looking to see if there was ever a Home Alone cereal. All I found was a Home Alone 2 themed Life cereal, which is cool. Do you know if there's more, and do you own any?
+fsyeah Unfortunately, no. They never released a Home Alone cereal. But they should have. I think it would have been a hit at the height of that movie's popularity.
Are you going to do a review of the civil war cereal(s)? I'm not sure if they made new flavours (like Batman v Superman) for them or just used a regular cereal and put Marvel superheroes on the box
1. Please, can you do an episode on the Powerpuff Girls cereal? I've never ate it but, I heard it was good. 2. When will you be having another giveaway?
I remember I ate this cereal when it first came out and I hated it .. I thought it was disgusting... Now years later... I had a chance to eat Reese's cereal... Which is the same two flavors.. chocolate and peanut butter, and I loved it... 😐... I was such a weird kid...
I heard it. I had the creepy poster on my wall. You can find a recording online. This was pure nightmare fuel for me. I would not eat the E's and T's together or he would get me at night. Lol. I still won't watch this movie full through. My poor 4,5 year old s lf beck then. I'll be 41 in a few month. But I totally remember this period of time as if it were yesterday.
+Max Perdue Cracked has an article about the making of that game called "5 Things I Learned Making The Biggest Flop In Game History", it's pretty interesting.
i thought it was funny in the movie when e.t. threw the container of potato salad on the kitchen floor and said "nnnnyighck! blah!" about it. and I read somewhere that the trick or treat scene was actually filmed on halloween 1981. and the scene where the refrigerator door knocked e.t. over is a blooper that happened while they were filming and the producers thought it was funny and decided to leave it in the movie

It tasted like Reeces Puffs, but felt like Alphabits!
@@DarthcrackbabY Yes!! 😋😋😋
Michael Jackson, ET, 80s breakfast cereal, Reese’s Pieces….this is peak nostalgia overload 🤯🤯

We're basically the same age and, yes, I have such fond memories of this stuff too!
Agreed
Me too, I am 40 years old, and still remember the taste....
I have been chasing this dragon for decades...
@@FalconDonkyPunch I just realized they have a peanut butter chocolate Cheerios. Trying them this week.
I'm old enough to remember watching it in theaters when I was 5 in 1982. The cereal was, straight up like reeses puffs but I remember it tasting more like peanut butter crunch, not as much chocolate.
+John Riggs: RIGG'd Games I think you're right. I feel like it was lacking in the chocolate department. I like Reeses Puffs better.
Yup. I oooved that cereal as a kid.
Still remember what it tastes like. It was the best cereal next to the rice crispies with marshmallows from the 80's...
I was 10 when this came out, I might have tried it can't remember
This and Mr.T were the best cereals ever made.
I don't remember ever seeing this one. Cool vid :)
+WrecklessEating Thanks! It wasn't around long enough like so many other great forgotten cereals!
I remember ET cereal well, and I even sent in for and got the Michael Jackson record! Wish I still had it today.
So your also telling me I've tasted E.T cereal for i dont know how many years! Wow! E.T cereal is good. Also im just 12
ET's and C3PO's we're the best 2 cereals of all time.IMO!
+Mr. Deel Miss both of them so much!!
this was my (honestly) my favorite cereal, of ALL-TIME!!!!! 💓💗💓💗

Me too ..better than Reese's Puffs....
@@fifidelite6610 E.T. cereal.... best. cereal. ever. ☺ I swear, I miss it so, so much!
Hell yeah. Best cereal ever
Chocolate-Peanut Butter Cheerios is pretty close to E.T. So is Reese's Puffs. Neither are better than E.T. though.

I LOVED the ET ride in Orlando! Great memories!
I loved ET cereal. I was 4 but I remember it well. I even remember the store we bought it at the first time.
E,T

"Good-Bye Ga-Bay" is TeeHee-ous!!
It was soooo delicious 🥹
E.t one of the reasons i love reese peices. Rest in peace Michael Jackson forever the king of pop.
That cereal was incredible! ☺️ The closest tasting cereal is Nutter Butter.
Still got the ET storybook :)
Here's a fact: The reason Mars passed the idea of having m&m's was because they thought people would be scared of E.T and they thought m&m's would not be as popular as before.
+Joey Cox Oh wow. Interesting! I didn't know that. They definitely misjudged that one. :)
I seen an ad in my TV right now

+Matthew Sabatino Get out of my head! :P
+Cereal Time TV 😂😂😂
I used to have an E.T. poster over my bed when I was little.
Good Mythical Morning E.T Taste Test bought me here
I love watching this show! I got a question.
Of all the cereals you reviewed, Which one was the most expensive to get?
+Pickuptruckdude Hmm, that's tough. I think maybe the box of C-3PO's because old Star Wars stuff is always expensive to find.
I swear I never see you smile.
+UncleKazoodles Really? Hmm, I guess I'd chalk it up to the quick cuts. But I definitely smile. Trust me! :)
If you say so...
I ate this cereal once when I was a kid and I do remember the commercial! Also was the Oops on the Captain Crunch box real or did you write it on there? Yes Ghostbusters video game! It was so corny to play! lol
+MoviemaniaNick Oops is part of the box, that's how it comes. There was even a special ad campaign for Oops All Berries back in the day.
Reese’s Pieces are my favorite candy too...but I guess General Mills didn’t realize that Reese’s Pieces don’t actually contain chocolate.
is there a cereal today that is anything like 'Forified Oat Flakes?'

+Cereal - Thanks! i never tried ET cereal, missed that one somehow
So your telling me that E.T was released in the 80's and not in 2002.
Man that commercial lied!
Quaker could have bought ET cereal from General Mills, taken out all the "E" pieces, and made Mr. T cereal with almost no effort.
I was recently looking to see if there was ever a Home Alone cereal. All I found was a Home Alone 2 themed Life cereal, which is cool. Do you know if there's more, and do you own any?

+karan sethi I haven't seen the new boxes yet, but I think it's the same as the Avengers cereal. So I probably won't do a separate video for those.
It was better than Reese’s puffs. It was like alphabits and had a great flavor!
Why didn't you use Alpha-Bits and Peanut butter powder (That actually exists) To make your own bootleg E.T. cereal?
OMG! Why didn't I think of that?! That's a brilliant idea. I'm definitely going to give that a try!
Can you do Kellogg's Scooby doo cereals? :)
+LpsWaki 0105 I have a bunch of different Scooby boxes and I will try to get to that cereal soon! :)
1. Please, can you do an episode on the Powerpuff Girls cereal? I've never ate it but, I heard it was good.

There is a et part 2
E.T was based on Spielberg child hood

A mouse definitely chewed that hole
+Warblr I'd say that's a safe bet.
2:02 how did Michael Jackson get on there
Skip to 2:41
There's the crappy Ghostbusters NES game in the background. It would have made better sense to have the even worse game, ET on Atari 2600
Oh yes, I remember that one. But I don't have that cartridge.
Maybe you rode with someone named Gabby...
+Joseph G Ha! That would make more sense, but sadly I think the software just wasn't very good.
I know I'm get a lot of crap for this but I felt E.T. was overrated. not a bad movie it was ok. the cereal itself I choose to pass.
On the ride, to make it pronounce your name you should have typed it in as GAYBUH
then it would have pronounced it right
+Lanie Malvit I will definitely do that if I ever go back to Orlando, but I'm not sure they still have that part of the ride. Hope so!
I'm 36 and I've never seen ET
Good God, man! What's wrong with you?! ;)
Idk. Just never got around to seeing it. But I do fondly remember most of these cereals, commercials and tv shows you talk about. Great channel.
ET was a magical movie for kids in the 80's. I've never seen it again, cause I feel it wouldn't hold up, and might seem too long now.
@@JLvatron actually 80s movies hold up really well today. I’d say give it another go. Also update 5 years later I still haven’t watched it.
