- Nexx and I were doing Tomcat things - shooting planes trying to shoot our carriers until one of them got angry and grabbed a flanker to counter us... So we countered the counter.

Nice stuff! By the way, in the pilot seat, if you flip the ACM cover up, your phoenixes will launch in "active" mode and they will take less time to launch off the rail. Saves you from having to pester your RIO to do it

It’s my own! I have a google drive link in my channel description > Descarnage/DC liveries and F14 - you only need the DC Clear installed, the rest are personal liveries with names under the cockpit and helmets

@@Destarn Flankers attack from terrain so he would have been blasting south, jamming, then pull and hard turn to intercept

@@Destarn That's... the design of the flanker and tactics used per 80s armaments F2s.
There is a reason why that flanker lost.
Tip. Launch going at least m1.5 Speed up at altitude of 30k feet and climb up to 44k feet. Do not loft it. Its setup for max range and performance with 0 loft
1.5 is unachievable with a higher fuel load and missiles. You can loft it manually, it will go further. There's been tests for that in DCS so go look them up.
@@DestarnI second this, manual lofting does increase range however the missile sometimes acts funny. I usually don't go past 25 degrees nose up. FlyandWire has some charts somewhere...

@@Destarn not the flanker pilot, im f-15E and F-16 pilot, using meta missiles and aicrafts vs redfor is just not equal when we talk about skill, and flexing about it like it is something huge is just sad. he literally got zero chances that high vs any blufor aircraft since his aicraft is only capable of firing a single one sahr missile and hold it till impact with all the radar angles included in a bvr ;) fight some f-15s or f-16s in that rusty f-14 we will see how it ends in proper bvr matchup :)
@@Adam-qk5tt it’s just an A phoenix, you can see it being bad and missing because it’s trivial to notch, I know Tomcat crews who would slap any more modern platform, never claimed to be good in it so that’s why we play on Blue Flag 80s, that Flanker could’ve chosen a different engagement profile to better suit the situation either way, he chose wrong and ate a phoenix.
