Beautifully presented. I grew up just a few blocks away from the museum, and went there first as a boy, many years ago. My fondest memory is, coming into the museum in the dead of winter, heavy Boston snowstorm billowing outside, and sitting by the central court, transported and transfixed to another time, another place. My favorite painting was Rembrandt's "Christ in a Storm in the Sea of Galilee" and I loved the Vermeer that sat on a nearby table in the same room. Now, sadly missing. I have travelled all over the world and now live far from Boston, but my thoughts often go back to Fenway Court and the beauty of this unique legacy. Thank you Isabella Stewart Gardner and all of you, who work so diligently to keep her vision alive.
I am visiting Boston at the end of the month as a long time New Yorker, what are some places with historical and beautiful views you would recommend? Thank you very much in advance:)
This museum especially reminds me of the quote by Fiorella Valdesolo: "Science tells us that looking at beautiful things is a form of self-care. Can it also be making us more beautiful in all ways?".
I am viewing from here in Italy this evening. It reminds me of Las Vegas. Mrs. Gardner bought that balcony from someone in Venice who was replacing his. Fortunately, all of this exporting of irreplacable Italian works of art was made illegal thereafter.

Thank you for this beautiful souvenir of my favorite place in Boston. It reminds me of many a concert I attended there, so long ago.
Those images would make a great coffee table book. Iv never seen so many beautiful images in one place. Thanks for sharing. ✌💚🌹
What a wonderful museum! Thank you so much for introducing it to those of us unable to visit in person. With thanks and best wishes from the UK.

Visited years ago, loved it. Uk resident.
The painting of Hercules shows him wondering if he had forgotten about that morning’s doctor appointment he had made three weeks prior.
What a collection!!!!

Once I will go to this house and take the best art with me to furnish my own house.
So looking forward to visiting this museum when I visit Boston this year. A dream since I was a young girl.
Pity they didn't have a better security system/protocols back in the nineties when it was robbed.
Right. Still, I'm shocked that this happened!
