@Matt..."abducted by aliens" I have a cartoon on my fridge. The cartoon shows 2 fish. One fish is laying on a couch, with a hook in its mouth, portraying a psych patient. The other fish is portrayed as a psychologist taking notes. The patient fish, with the hook in its mouth, is saying to the psychologist fish, "Nobody believes my alien abduction story."
That was awesome! I recommended that you include Lake Jackson in your adventure. I'm so glad you went and had a good day, even if the big ones didn't wanna come out and play. When I was there last winter, my guide had us out in the middle fishing shiners. We were using bobbers to suspend them over the top of the submerged hydrilla. The bass would come up and clobber the shiners. I'm not really a live bait guy, but I can't argue with the results. I lost count but we ended the day with over 30 fish, including a few 6+ pounders. I was completely exhausted.
10:50 It's all about that uni knot! I do a uni knot snell, and then if I forget a stopper or the one on there is slipping, I'll take a piece of braid and tie a uni knot about the stopper, pull it tight, and cut off both ends, making another bobber stop.
Damn bro --- havin' fun today (or when ya recorded!)!!! ......... LMAO ---- clicked on the vid, and read the title. Ya know that mental picture (of flying fish!?!) well, --- The intro had me doubled over. I didn't picture it quite like that! LOL -Dayyyyyymmmmmmmm! Killin it!!! Be Safe
Matt, The trip has been awesome. I don’t care if you catch the DD or not. It’s FLA and that only happens when the conditions are right and they have not been good for some time. Even the pro’s are struggling to catch a 5lbs bass. It would be interesting to see you and SMC get together and do some fishing.
12:37 that bass was ripped out of reality. Fish was just chillen thought he had a quick snack then BAM!! Just launched through a different dimension into some alien spaceship... the other fish will never believe this.
Bro, setting some numbers records out there!! Must have been a blast.. I hit four mile run yesterday with my buddies Ty of Bassand Furious and Scott from Scott Hollywood Outdoors. Scott told me that he knows you and has bought you dinner.. righteous! I ended up catching a huge goldfish on a Z-man Chatterbait.. Insane! 😂It'll be in the next video. Take care buddy.. hope to catch up with you one day 👊
I've been looking at a DC reel and was wondering how well they handle braid. Thanks for taking the time to explain what you had rigged. I'm probably gonna pull the trigger on the reel.
Hay Matt, Just a thought for a short video or intro about boat safety with an emphasis on one man fishing like you have been doing. Walk people through all Of your safety equipment and procedures. The old professor

Have you ever caught fish by hands? So funny, I saw him catching fish with a chicken coop
Matt, try Stella lake in Crescent City about 2 hours north straight up 17 north out of Kissimmee. Caught 2 11 pounders there and a friend has caught one over 12. Maybe you could find one.
hey man great vid! so I got a question for u. im getting into bait casters a bit more this year and i got the slx. I ran 10lbs floro for my 1st 3 trips with basically no issue beside a couple little backlashes. then switched up to 40lb braid. 1st 5 casts no problem then the 6th cast backlashed and completely binded my line so deep in my spool a had to cut the whole spool off. never seen nothing like it! is that common with braid? did I put too much braid on when I re-lined? im so baffled ive never had a reel go completely out of commission on 1 cast.
When I was in Florida it was pretty much straight braid because of all the grass. Back home in VA I’m usually throwing a Texas rig on 20lb seaguar invizx and I’ll sometimes downsize to 15lb.
love your vids! but Googan plastic baits are the worst. I always produce poor results with them. then I'll throw on a brush hog or a creature from Yamamoto and crush it.
I smash them with a bandito bug or a Mondo worm, not so much with the others. I think it's about the smell and maybe because they're so soft. But because of that, they have absolutely zero lifespan and are expensive. You'd be lucky to get a few fish out of a bandito bug. Frustrating because it's one of my favorite baits when they're being finicky.
As a salmon fisherman I always cringe a little when I see a bass fisherman flip a fish in the boat. I know it doesn't hurt the fish but salmon rods have a lot more flex in them and flipping a fish in the boat would equal a broken rod. I got lazy for one brief moment last fall, made a flipping motion to bring the fish on the bank, and presto one broken rod which was a bummer because I was in a bite window and had to rig up a spare rod in a hurry.
Damnit I love your vids but keep the lakes name to yourself. This lake used to be amazing caugt my pb 11.3 here. You could go on a weekend and only see 2 or 3 other boats now there is 20 boats on a weekday. Googans made a video here and since then there is way too much pressure. Keep up the good content though
I respect the work you put into your video but honestly I can't make it through a single one cuz your voice sounds like you're either 1. Forcing it to be controlled and monotone or 2. You lack enthusiasm in general for what you are doing and it sounds like it. I don't know you and I'm sure you're a great person but I just unsubscribed because every time I try to watch a video that looks like it has ood content, I switch it cuz the way you talk makes me not interested. Sorry, not trying to be rude. Just one viewers honest opinion. Appreciate all your hard work on these vids but seriously can't make it through a single one because of this.
Chillest guy in the fishing UA-cam community :)
🤙🏼just fishin’
He got into a accident and the boat got totalled
@bennybass
Could you imagine walking in your house "O fruit snacks" then getting ripped up 30 feet in the air 😂🤣😂
😂literally would be like being abducted by aliens

That grass looked so tasty!! I can’t wait til it warms up here in the NW. Keep crushing the vids buddy.
A drop of superglue on the bobber stop will keep it pegged. Loved the intro too! Mad filming/editing skills man!
Dont do that my friend, it will cause your braid to snap, just double peg the weight
@@lexm0 Hasn't ever.
I love your edit stile!!! Almost like and OG Jon B video! Love the channel! Keep up the work!!!💪🎣🐟
Really nice to find nearly every morning a new vid. Don't stop!
So cool! On fish #2 you can see the line twitch at the tip of the reel just before the hook set. Nice!

Check the isolated small clumps of standing grass for larger fish
