“Crash landing on you” is daaa best k-drama ever, if you like quite (a lot actually) romantic stuff and you want to cry, definitely you have to watch that !!! I cry all the tears that I possibly could
i definitely recommend the k-drama CRASH LANDING ON YOU !! it's about this rich heiress who has an accident and ends up on the other side of the border. it's so fun, sweet and romantic!
Fav kdramas: ITAEWON CLASS Descendants of the Sun Strong Woman Do Bong Soon While you were sleeping Weightlifting fairy Kim bok joo Hotel del Luna Crash Landing on You Goblin
Never let me go is my favorite book of 2020 so far!! The way he uses Kathy to traipse the memories of all three 'main' characters was so so amazing... such a beautiful exploration of friendship, love and ethics. Also the passive accepting vibe that book carries the whole way through makes everything so tragic especially the hope Tommy and Kath have about their love :(
You should read Geisha of Gion by Mineko Iwasaki. She was interviewed by Arthur Golden for his book but she later sued him for a breach of confidentality and later wrote her own autobiography
I've watched 9 Kdramas so far this year and some of my favourites are- 1. Crash Landing on you (my number one Kdrama) 2. Goblin (absolutely loved it) 3. Descendants of the Sun 4. Start up 5. Something in the Rain
I subscribed when you had about 5k subscribes and have been watching religiously ever since then during quarantine, but never bothered to look at your subscribers count till today. OMGG I'm so proud of you, you absolutely deserve this growth.
I’ve been meaning to reintroduce books to my life (over the years I lost my drive to reading which is just sad) so thanks for the recommendations! I’ve watched Memoirs of a Geisha! I remember one particular line distinctively: “we sell our skills, not our bodies.”
highly recommend howl's moving castle and castle in the sky out of the rest of the ghibli movies!! My favorite kdrama is Romance is a Bonus Book because of all the layers and intersecting storylines so that's another one to look out for 💓 always excited to see your content moya!
Books- nervous conditions, the wretched of the earth, never let me go, mémoires of a geisha, the power of now. Movies and tv shows- studio ghilbi, kingdom, outer banks, elite, normal people, i may destroy you, chewing gum. Podcasts and music- the high low, we bought a house, spiritual sh’t, acting my age, playlist mornings in quarantine on spotify, soft korean, energy reset by hitomi ( 😍🥰) on spotify. Lifestyle- moleskin dotted a5 journal, muji 0.38 pen. Clothing- her dads clothes lmao and brandy melville sweatpants and biker shorts, thrift flip top. Beauty essentials- sunscreen purito unscented. Drinks- gin and tonic, ice, lime, gunpowder gin, jawbox rhubarb gin liqueur. Utubers- bestdressed, nayra florence i think, margot lee, jem ins, i think 🤔, wear i live, sorry i couldnt catch the instagram ones

I realize that you may not be as productive as you show in your videos sometimes, but let me tell you that watching your content truly motivates me to get up early, enjoy the sun and get my stuff done.
I LITERALLY get so excited when Moya uploads!!! Moya you have such good content it seems like you’ve been doing UA-cam for years. I have binged like all your videos recently❤️❤️
K-drama recommendations: ✨ - Crash landing on you - Something in the rain - One spring night - Goblin - Hotel del Luna - Itaewon class - Extraordinary you - Tempted - Search: WWW - Hi bye, mama - What’s wrong with secretary Kim - Weightlifting fairy Kim bok-joo - The legend of the blue sea - Chicago typewriter.
memoirs of a geisha was actually written after the author went to japan and interviewed a real geisha! (though becoz of confidentiality reasons, she had to retire early after being threatened by former clients) she also wrote her own book on her life as a geisha if you're interested in that xx
Since you like chill Korean music I recommend DEAN- instagram, Rad Museum- Dancing in the rain, WOODZ- DIFFERENT. those are my all time faves in that genre.
My favourite contemporary kdrama is Because This Is My First Life, which follows a trio of 30 year-old best friends through marriage, relationships and sexual assault, and is a nuanced, introspective examination of love, life and friendship - there is one main couple but all the characters are pretty complex and interesting. My favourite historical drama is called My Country: The New Age, and the exciting storyline, lush cinematography and focus on dramatic relationships, especially friendship, is the perfect sageuk (historical drama) gateway. On a separate note, it's really great that you like Ishiguro's writing, because he's one of my favourite authors! His style is just so measured and absorbing.
obsessed with how our tastes literally align, love how you talk about different shows/ books that portray different cultures! it feels so refreshing to not hear the kind of "basic" taste for once :)
we stan a queen who listens to her viewers’ video recommendations ✨✨✨ (ive been watching and rewatching your videos lately. they calm me down and (yet) hype me up to be a more creative and mindful version of myself. lots of luv
Some great kdramas: SKY castle (one of my favorite non romcom kdramas), W two worlds, while you were sleeping, something in the rain, and i miss you (made me cry every episode lol)
I'm so happy you watched Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke! I know you said you are going to watch them all eventually but from what i presume is your personality and preferences i would definitely suggest Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. So so happy you entered the Studio Ghibli world. Ik it's stupid but i like to think that my comment under one of your quarantine vlogs made you begin this journey. Love you lots Moya! Keep up the good work ❤
yes nervous conditions is amazing!! I also took a postcolonial literature course as part of my English degree and I’d rly recommend we need new names by no violet Bulawayo 💓
ahh i was just about to binge watch all your videos when i realized you just uploaded! found your channel yesterday, but you're already one of my favorites :)
I'm more of a k-web drama type of gal, but a few kdramas I enjoy/ed are: -Hello, My Twenties -My First, First Love(kinda very cliché) -Hospital Playlist -Itaewon Class -Extracurricular -Crash Landing On You -Sky Castle(some of the cuts are bad but overall interesting) But there's also this one psychological thriller that nobody talks about called Forgotten, it's soooo good, I'm sure you won't regret it
I think you should definitely watch Descendents of the Sun -- it was the best korean drama ive ever watched!!! If you want to watch a more recent one, Hotel de luna is an interesting one about a hotel for dead souls before they enter the afterworld (its not as creepy as it sounds). They are both on netflix :) xxx
I recently got into K dramas during quarantine! So far I've loved Crash Landing On You, Itaewon Class, Something in the Rain, and It's Okay to Not Be Okay.
I get so excited when you upload! I just finished a nayna video. I've also had a slight obsession with jenn ins videos especially the what I eat in a day. Great video as usual, your content is well loved!
