There are things that only Supra owners know, when you have just turned it on and the car is cold it will not make the sound you want, after 10 or 15 minutes on the road that is where the monster wakes up, so I get an idea of what it sounds like when the turbo is hot, it must be crazy!
I need this exhaust on mine! Such a lower tone from stock , love it. Also - heritage wing looks great , was debating if I were to get one to paint match or not
Joel just installed that wing on his new Supra. He was test fitting it while it was unpainted. I think he's planning to leave it. It has the matte grey and I think unpainted it looks great. I'm a bit more subtle, so I personally like the colour match. Looks more racer unpainted and that suits him for sure. I love the HKS man!! Hope you get one yourself, definitely worth the wait and cash. The tone is bassy and again, subtle and I love that. Down shifts are the best :D
@@richie.grainger Just had mine installed yesterday. Did you have any issues w/ the tips being misaligned? i.e., my left one protrudes out a bit more than the right. Any tips?
@@thoopra - Nice man, thats awesome as, congrats. I do remember having to untighten the rear bolts to realign to get it perfect. It was so very slightly off, but a slight adjustment fixed it. On another note, overtime I noticed some sag from the rear exhaust hangers stretching a tiny bit. I did replace my exhaust hangers to get it perfect in the end.
@@richie.grainger good to know! I’ll keep an eye out for the exhaust sag. I just got it back from the shop and it’s still misaligned but they said the driver side pipe is damaged which is causing the misalignment issue, which is unfortunate
This is the video I was anticipating the most and you pulled through mate! If you don't mind me asking, how much were the on road costs after purchasing the new supra?
Thank you brother. I'm not sure of the specifics of the on-road costs, but the Supra, GTS with Alcantara seats is about $108k or $109k all-up, drive-away. I did get a small discount because I used to work at the dealership, but it wasn't a crazy amount or anything.
Hi Richie I have a noise problem it's really too loud in catless my configuration is catless Project Gamma with an HKS catback I'm thinking of changing my catless downpipe for a catalyzed downpipe. Do you think I'll be able to reduce my noise? my salesman tells me that I'll lose power by installing a catalyzed downpipe, but who cares? I'm willing to sacrifice a little power to maintain good relations with my neighbors. the power there is already a lot I absolutely must solve the problem of noise. I think that the Catback HKS is really very noisy I come from an exhaust with particulate filter (europe) that really muffled the noise. My question is: what can I do to reduce the noise? Work on the Catback or fit a catalyzed downpipe? Thanks for your answer.
Mate this is 🔥🔥🔥, planning on getting the same but bit worried about the cold start, I leave for work early in the AM 😆 is there a significant diff from stock during cold starts? cheers
Thanks man. Yeh, there is to be honest. I'd say the first 30 seconds is pretty loud, then it drops significantly. Normal idle and soft driving, this exhaust sounds stock though.
I live in Thailand. My car is a jdm spec and its valve acts the same way as yours. So with the HKS exhaust on, does it sound the same idling for both normal and sport?
Hi, is that clip in your left hand needed to be reinstalled at 3:40 timestamp? When I did mine, I wasn't sure where that clip came from, i just heard it fall to the ground when I was removing the valve controller.
Hey man. The only parts of the valve controller that went back on was the black unit, and the bolts. I put all the left over parts from the valve controller in a ziplock bag.
Love my HKS. Sounds even better when I switched to a catless DP.
Bro hats off to you, picking all the best parts. Loving the build so far.
Thank you man
Amazing video. This exhaust makes the B58 really shine.
Thank you man!! I 100% agree, the B58 truly becomes special with such a simple change. It's an addictive sound...
Awesome video! Can’t wait to get this exhaust too!!!
Thanks mate. It's definitely worth it - I'm excited for you too!
Love the video! Here to claim my spot in your first 100 subscribers.
Thank you mate. Your comment gave me a huge smile - thank you for the support
Sounds great. The GR Supra is the number one car on my list, currently.. hoping to get one, soon!
Fingers crossed for you mate!! It's worth the effort and wait.
Damn this video makes me miss my mkv Supra 😢
Did u sell it or something?
I love me some HKS exhausts

Is this without a DP?
No DP
Stock downpipe?
Yep
What wing is that?
Hey mate, here are all the details and how it looks;

Do people steal wheels here in Australia? I guess it depends on where you park lol.
I've never seen a car in person missing wheels. But I've definitely seen some in the car groups. Happy to spend $40 so I feel better hah.
How can close and open a exhaust valve
It closes when you put it in normal and opens on sport
