Picked up the white graphic version recently with the GEN6 trucks. It's my FIRST board - and YOUR review video here was a huge factor in my decision. I live in some FLAT prairies with often not great roads so wanted something to cruise around neighborhoods on for a little exercise and to get comfy on a board. Couldn't be happier.
as beginner in longboarding it's the first board I bought. I learned and get my good sensations on it. I bought a rally cat two months ago and a dinghy watercolor for my son. each of one have a different feeling and different use ..I'm being addict! the drop hammer is really easy to go, a little bit flexy to feel confortable and responsive enough when pushing .I had long distances on it (more than 20km) very smooth and carvy.
All good, but to say the drop hammer has a flex is absolutly wrong. Sure... every board moves a little bit, but the drop hammer is called a "very stiff" one. This is the reason why in most descriptions in shops, you dont find flex numbers for this Board. regards
I have both. I like both, a bit different ride on each. If I had to choose just one would probably go with a drop cat 33. But it’s a close call. I also changed wheels on both. Drop cat with caguamas and drop hammer with Kegels.
So a heads up on this as I just got it - for the white version specifically: it’s stained white not painted. Also between the two set ups 1&2 the only difference is the 69 or 70 mm wheels. AND the stain is different . I originally got the white 69 set up and it was barely stained white and was more pink. The 70 is way whiter as well. So just be aware of that. Had to return it to get the whiter one as the website is misleading in that it doesn’t make that clear. Landyachtz did do a great job in helping get me the correct board but they need to specify that in the item info on the website that its a stained white and that there is a difference in the thickness of the stain depending on complete 1 set up or complete 2 set up. Other than that having to send it back and then get board that whiter back, I love it. Haven’t gotten to shred on it yet as waiting for it to come back but I tested one at my local skate shop and it’s so smooth. Huge upgrade from what I had.
can some experienced pls HELP ME. I ride mongo and im trying to stop but I don't know if im goofy or normal. when I push I push goofy style but my stance is normal. if it helps I ride a scooter goofy. when I ride a board normal my front foot feels uncomfortable and my back foot is comfortable. but when I ride goofy my front foot is comfortable and my back foot is uncomfortable. some pls HELP ME.
I know Im late, but I have a suggestion I wish I learned about before riding. Stand completely straight up. Have someone gently push you enough that you fall off balance. Whatever foot you try to catch yourself with first is the foot that goes in front. Keep in mind that learning to ride in both stances will help drastically in the future. Im an beginer-to-intermediate rider and im well balanced but its still difficult to go from standard to goofy. Always something to learn. It will also help to just stop pushing mongo as soon as you start. That means as your riding and you notice your avout to push mongo, discipline yourself by not riding the board for a minute, then hop back on and try to push normal

Glad you like it!
Just bought one, but in the white version from a nice couple, who were selling their daughter’s board, who used it twice. Can’t wait to take it out

@@Dexxex I find it confortable but flexy compared with the rally cat or dinghy whose give me a more precise and secure ride past 25 km/h…
@@lamalice0499 Ok interesting, they are shorter maybe?
Or heavier Decks?
@@Dexxex they are just stiffer and topmount also.
The rally cat is phenomenal !
contemplating on getting a drop cat or a drop hammer. which one would you recommend?
I’m thinking the same thing, idk which to get

@@captureinstyle what is the difference between Kegel wheels and the ones which come with the drop hammer (i also hv drop hammer)
@@captureinstyle Did you try the Caguamas on the drop hammer? Witch wheel do you prefer?
Got the same one and its pretty versatile using it on a semi hills just tighten up the truck a little bit, @3:40 speed wobble?
Just the channel I was looking found some reviews on the board I was searching💯💯.
Awesome!
Hi there, I really want to learn how to pump. Would you recommend this board for pumping?
Not at all. It has way too little flex. You should get a flexy topmount with camber if you want a good pumper.
Would you recommend this over the switchblade im gonna do mainly cruising and the roads are bad
Yes, the flex of the board will help lessen the vibrations of the road
@@lylacrew1606 k thanks because i dont wanna end up spending 230 on a board and wnd up not liking it
Dude you look like klay Thompson dead on lol 😂 nice video bro.
What wheels are you running on this one?
I believe they’re 70s hawgs but I can’t remember for sure
Would you recommend this board for someone who’s 5′ 6″ with a shoe size 7.5 and just wants to do long distance cruise
Yes!

How’s the return to center on the Gen 6 trucks?
It’s good when you’re running the venom plug bushings or use the smokie inserts with your normal bushings
@@lylacrew1606 awesome exactly what I was trying to figure out. Thanks dudes.
Just subscribed thanks man
I appreciate you🙌🏻
what is this board like compared to the drop cat?
Less rocker and it being symmetrical means you can ride this board both ways and it’s also shorter
@@lylacrew1606 but what about the ridding experience?
Hey man, would you recommend this board for someone who wants to learn to slide?
You could definitely learn on it, but you can’t go far in your progression because it’s pretty flexy and unstable when going really fast.
@@lylacrew1606 whats a good landyachtz board to learn slides?
@@shoakman 180mm Bear Gen 6 grizzlies, 82a mini zombie hawgs, and either a freedive reef or a switchblade depending on what you prefer!

Definitely on the list!
