Ironic. He could save others from laziness, but not himself.
Kirby one actually replicates his hammer from Brawl; kinda neat how many customs replicated replaced moves
Especially Fox's custom Wolf Side-B.
I remember some guys I played with years ago using Yoshi's Lick for recovery.

Some of Smash 4's customs could have been applied to Ultimate's echo fighters as standard moves to give them some more differentiation.
These videos really show the commitment of the Nintendo team to make these useless sometimes but very unique moves for casual play.
When custom moves were tourney legal it was not a fun time but I feel they could have been reworked but none the less they were real cool.
3:15 well, i think that majority of these exist mostly for smash run. Lazy Loop actually gets you a little higher than standard one, and for climb challange its comes in handy
Surprised you didn't show off Kirby's Upper Cutter! That move was easily considered Kirby's strongest custom move due to coming out frame 6 and killing off the top. This gave Kirby an actually usable up-b out of shield, a kill move, and a faster recovery in exchange for the landing projectile which is an awesome tradeoff.
You know what would be cool. A what if series for custom moves for characters who don’t have them

@@thunderbro7218 his neutral special is easy dig gold/diamond later but can hold more blocks or dig gold/diamond earlier but can hold less blocks. Maybe placing can increase move speed while placing for one of them but that can also be left the same

That sounds too complicated but could still work
The other kirby custom up-b kills pretty early, even if it only hits once. you have to hit with a specific hitbox though and they have to be at like 60-70%
It combos from F-throw or up tilt, so it's not hard to ko with it at all.
These were awesome. Some of my favorites were:
-Doc's soaring down B which had an insanely strong hitbox at the end on top of the extra recovery distance
-Rosalina's Luma Warp/Shooting Star Bit, which essentially made luma into a seperate zoner
-Link's power bow, which was basically a falcon punch that spanned the entire stage.
They weren't overpowered like some of the ones listed here, but man they were fun.
Slow egg roll was actually my first custom move. I slapped it on my first amiibo and called the Yoshi "Eggboy".
The "Flower Bomber" should have been for Daisy!
That would’ve made her more unique
But nooo! Sakurai was so lazy when he made Daisy that she barely has a little difference from Peach

A Smash Brawl mod fixes these animations to make them more accurate for Daisy, for example, with her Up Tilt she punches upwards instead of posing like a dancer

As a hardcore Ganondorf main in Smash 3DS, I remember having him with Warlock Blade, Flame Chain, Dark Fists and Wizard's Assault. Warlock Blade because it was much faster and gave him a good disjoint, Wizard's Assault because it pierces opponents and really adds to cross-up potential, Dark Fists for kill potential and Flame Chain to do the same as Wizard's Assault but also catch opponents as I'm moving along.
I forget the name but one of Dr mario's down special is crazy op, the spin has no hit box but the pose he does when it ends does insane knockback
I have an idea that daisy's moveset might have included some of peach's custom moves (if she wasnt the exact same). Kinda like how lucas has ness custom neutral and up specils.
Well, that’s at least partially because Lucas had those moves in Brawl. It’s less like Lucas took from Ness’ custom moves, as much as Ness was given some of Lucas’ moves as customs (since he was cut from Smash 4’s base roster).

This trilogy is absolutely amazing, these forgotten moves are absolutely amazing there were also a lot of modded ones fans made, and I wonder if you’re ever willing to get into those.
This video actually reminds me of Wii Fit’s custom moves! I personally liked some of them, like the one where the neutral special was a whitish blue ball of light that hit multiple times and dragged and there was also the explosive deep breathing down b, and that Hurricane Hoop up b that had a wind box.
Would be interesting to see your thoughts on the obscure characters’ customs.
i remember the other meta knight's down-b was an unblockable attack. another funny was dr mario's giant pill. it was really slow, but with multihits, you could confirm into almost anything, even into another giant pill
I didn't even know Luigi had ice balls as a custom. But it is what I always wished Luigi had honestly, so I love it that it is here!
I’m still sad these were lost in ultimate, if these were in ultimate would never die in popularity until another game did this if they did it right, since there was so much potential, just as long as they were only in customized modes online and were unlocked similarly as they were in smash 4.
Sonic deserves special mention for his custom moves making one of his specials not a spin dash!

As a Peach main i really miss that move, it doesn't kill in the air but on the ground it guarantees a fully charged forward smash
It's so funny to me how careful they were too not make some of the custom moves overpowered, going so far as to make some almost completely useless, and yet they still managed to have a couple of fully broken ones
Luigi's other custom down special makes it all even sadder because it's ridiculous in the other direction.

There's a few references in the Custom Moves like with Garlic Breath, Ice Breath, and Iceball.
Brawl Meta knight could also disappear indefinitely with dimensional cape, so the custom move could be a reference to that glitch.
I'm pretty sure that the end hit of the cyclone from Luigi has a strong hit that launches straight up
For Duck Hunt Custom side B:
One states that the gunshots are less accurate but do more damage. This means that the spacing/timing between each shot fired during side b is extended, giving it better space control but bigger blindspots.
Clothesline Tornado breaks shields if you land each hit. Mach tornado is much better.
Loving these videos, custom moves are pretty cool honestly i undertand why they were gutted in ultimate tho

Hey bro!! It looks like you are hitting the algorithm! I love your content, but in my honest opinion I would tell you to not be afraid to emote more in your videos and sell your enthusiasm. Dont be afraid to retake ur recordings til it sounds just right, so u dont have stutters and stuff. Things like that will make ur editing cleaner and hopefully u can ride this wave !

Not talking about kirbys upper cutter is crazy. That move makes kirby have an amazing recovery and it gives him a killing out of sheild option like marth. Marios gust cape is also nuts
If you do videos about forgotten stuff, I'd suggest making videos about spirits and the funky abilities some can give, like instadrop or damaging sprint,
Spirits aren't THAT forgotten just because of the videos about the amiibo

one of Doctor Mario’s down b customs is really good. It has no start up but the final hit is massive and kills very early
The Yoshi’s slow egg roll has mini armor and racks damage but does higher damage the faster it rolls, surprised you didn’t show off his stupid Yoshi star bomb that is just spamable or the exploding eggs or even the egg launcher. Or better yet light egg roll which make you bounce into the air, which is still puts you into a free falling state using it off stage.
AKA: The "Skill Issue" moves

Sora's should definitely be his Side-B from Smash Flash. Goes into freefall if it whiffs, great combo potential if it works.

What about Jigglypuff's slow custom sing? (Hyper Voice maybe?) Where it releases harmful pulses instead of afflicting sleep. It is really weird.

The Luigi moves look sweet to bad theirs no electric baced attack to represent the Mario and Luigi series that would of been a cool Easter egg like a electric ball that stuns.
