It's really fun how this game contrasts Hollow Knight. Their settings might seem similar - both games have desolate worlds barely clinging to life, desolated in the distant past by some horrible godlike abomination that was only stopped through great sacrifice, but there is one major difference - in HK your character's goal is to stop that horrible monster from destroying the rest of the world, while here YOU are that monster, and you came back from the brink of death to finish the job.
Hell yeah, I just finished this game yesterday and was looking to find a good LP of it and you delivered in spades. Really glad someone took the time to give this game attention, it damn well deserves it.
Didn't notice before but the version you played of this is actually so different to the one now, armors for example now give stats and an special trait if you use the full set, there are a ton of new bosses (with NG+ having actual improved versions of the bosses), surrogate warp is given by another boss so you can have it like half game or earlier if you find said boss (making fast travel muuuuuch easier) and sooo much stuff you didn't see in this playthrough. Would be cool if you revisited this game though I understand you probably won't. Maybe you could wait for the third and final free DLC to drop and then do a new series exploring all the new stuff (and also in preparation for Grime 2 which was announced recently) :D
Now that you ended Grime, I hope you get the ¨Metroidvenia¨ Games that started all. Like Metroid and Castlevania. Now back to normal, Hoping for Mythy to play Castlevania Lord of Shadows.
This is the first time I finally completely just gave up on a boss fight. As someone not too familiar to "souls like" difficulty in games, I found myself finally trying them, first with blasphemous (which I tried and gave up on early after release), then Ender Lilies which had the same result. Fast forward two years later, and I ruptured my quad tendon and end up out of work for a couple of months and figure I finally have the time to dedicate to games that would be too time consuming for someone not mentally used to such games and also has limited time due to work, school etc. I love metroidvania style games though. Started with Blasphemous in mid October, despite knowing the difficulty. This time I fell deep into it and eventually beat it. Now I was craving the experience I once ran from so I picked up Ender Lilies and beat that, with good ending and found all secret items. Still craving the experience, I restarted Grime from the beginning and couldn't put it down. But some of the bosses (like the surrogate, and final dance) made me contemplate just giving it up. But every time I got to that point, I suddenly found a rhythm and beat them. But that damn Shidra... after playing for over an hour with absolutely no progress to getting the moves down, I just said to hell with it and pulled up the game ending on youtube. That will suffice. I will so though, this is probably one of the most musically and visually memorable games I've played so far. Those elements are part of what kept me tuned in the multiple times I almost threw my controller and gave up gaming all together.😂🤣
I'm at this boss and I think I give up. The first phase is giving me enough problems as is, AND there's a SECOND phase? I shouldn't be surprised considering this game has been kicking my ass from the beginning. Pretty good game though!
Hey Myth, I got around to finishing this game and you missed an optional boss which is arguably my favourite in the game. It can be found in the Feaster’s Lair area and its behind a couple hidden walls, the first of which is guarded by 2 of the dudes that throw eyes. I dont wanna spoil anything though bc its epic.
Excellent, Myth! This was amazing. Since your Metroidvania play through are so enjoyable, I’d love your opinion on Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove. Four different campaigns AND a multiplayer, magnificent chiptune soundtrack, sublime retro aesthetic…what’s not to love?
Hope you're feeling well after your second shot. Some people are getting kinda fucked up for a few days with some fever and obviously pain in the arm. Hope it'll go over smoothly for you. Have a good one
fun fact the developers are from israel so in that lore area there are some words in hebrew like "vered" which means rose and also "anakhnu" is how you say the word WE so i like that little easter egg for hebrew speakers
Hey Mythy nice to know that you took your vacine, it´s important to share you did (as an "influencer") cause it motivates other people to do so as well
Day 85 of asking you to play Pokemon Clover......also play Pokemon Star(a Sun and moon fan made game), extreme randomizer sun or moon, extreme randomizer alpha sapphire or omega ruby, extreme randomizer sword or shield, extreme randomizer ultra sun and moon(all these extreme well suprise you), Pokemon gaia, and Pokemon Reborn( don't play this as nuzlocke first play through. Also your decisions changes the future of characters)

I love how we are basically a villain for the residents.
As I got to the end of the game, I started thinking - "Wait, am I the bad guy?"
Hell yeah, I just finished this game yesterday and was looking to find a good LP of it and you delivered in spades. Really glad someone took the time to give this game attention, it damn well deserves it.
You really should revisit the game, Mythy! New areas, new bosses, and a whole new NG+ stuff was introduced into the game!
That was really good, I really like the game's aesthetics.
You should look at playing "Darksiders" or "Castlevania Lord Of Shadows".
I didn't expect I'd enjoy this series. The graphics are very attracting and relaxing
I like how you don't even realize you're the true villain
The four dislikes are from Shidra with his four arms :/
What an interesting game.
Thank you for playing it and providing such high quality content every day
I’ve loved this series so much!
"I just got my second vaccin today"
Me: "ooh nice, ma boi is now fully vacc..."
"No one cares"
Me: .... "i do :("

You missed a secret boss, thought it doesn't spawn anymore after the performance
Neverhood ore everhood I don’t remember…

Isn't the final boss the guy that makes your upgrades throughout the game?

Myth, I tell you a game i want you to check absolutly ! It's Omno, just release, by a solo guy, it's incredible and BEAUTIFUL !
Unworthy is also an amazing Souls-Like Metroidvania game, please give it a try .
I'm sad you didn't get to fight a specific optional boss that is, imo, the best fight of the game, but it's pretty hidden if you don't backtrack.
ye
