Audrey Hepburn and Henry Mancini are responsible for 87% of what’s so beautiful about this song, but I dunno... it’s just something about this mix, after watching him play it live and learning all the tricks he pulls off, and knowing it’s all for his mother. It’s so perfect, really. I probably listen to this version (such as it is, though I’m not knocking him at all) of this song more than any others I know of. That’s really the mark of a next level DJ, when he or she can take some commonplace sound or song and recontextualize it to make something completely different, something new and unforeseen...
