I believe there's an option that lets you set an item to your hotbar by hovering over the item and pressing a number

You can equip a weapon by just right clicking or left clicking it in ur inventory

i also struggled with the fight, then i became the ultimate skeleton conjurer and nothing stood a chance, run took about 6 hours though. I regret nothing ang everything at the same time
