I have been participating for English recitation competitions for many years since I was a little kid and when I discovered this channel everything became so much easier to learn and study. I genuinely appreciate Mr Huff for making my life so much easier.
Your crazy because this was unbelievable to me how naturally you knew the message to these to me cryptic lines. I love this analysis! Thank you so much really!
Thank you. This is a marvellously invitational analysis to this Ode. I memorized this in my last year of High School sixty two or three years ago. and have learned plenty from your word by word lovely work. So very grateful.
Wonderful! Have you also considered: the nightingale sings in twilight, as does a poet--it is the "deceiving elf." There's not enough of this kind of thing (this quality) on UA-cam...I think because not enough know how to do this. Where did you learn to read, Mr. Huff?
10:00 I don't think it is "dimness of a world he wishes to leave", the dim forest is where the Nightingale is, where "there is no light / Save what from heaven is with the breezes blown / Through verdurous glooms and winding mossy ways"
Why you kept mentioning the contradictory nature of poet's world and the world of the bird, the ideal, all along? That's not the only thing Keats tried to show us.
well, then enlighten me the other ways to interpret. I saw this whole poem implying nature as a means to escape the ardous reality of conscious world, which is hightened by the contrast.
