hello everyone! i'm quartx, scriptwriter of this video! i hoped everyone enjoyed the video
first things first: a lot of people seem to be confusing this Gabriel for being Mandela Catalogue's Gabriel. while the reference in his dialogue was intentional, /this Gabriel is an entirely different character and is NOT MC Gabriel/; this script is NOT mandela catalogue related and the premise as well as this version of Gabriel is my own interpretation, and i respectfully ask you to maintain that perspective when commenting :]

Why is it that every rendition I’ve seen of Gabriel is deceptively sinister (wether it’s Good Omens, Mandela Catalogue, or this series)? Either way, you definitely nailed the vibes for this type of character. Someone who seems nice in their actions, but something about them always feels off. That transition into desperation when this person was unwilling to come with him was great too (not to mention the art that went with it).
The similarities between how this Angel describes demons, and how their actions replicate those descriptors just…adds another level to this as well.
All in all, you did an awesome job! I’m stoked for what else might come from this.

Words can't describe how I'm invested in this series aaaa I love both characters but Gabriel really intrigues me. I believe the main reason he took a liking for us is simply because we wounded his ego, with how angels are perceived in this universe I believe he's very much used to humans kissing the floor he walks, so meeting a human that rejects him so viciously is curious to say the least, not only that, they prefer a demon before him! That must've hurt, that's why he's so keen on earning our affection, even if it's by force lol.
On a second note, I also spent some time wondering why Gabriel still wanted an revolution even after he raised to the highest rank of angels, wasn't enough power for him? When I realized that while he was a Seraph, there were other angels with the same rank as him, that meant his authority wasn't absolute as he wanted, he'd have to share it so the whole speech about angels being equals was right, but not in a good sense, but more in a "equally bellow him" sense. And if he thinks that about fellow angels, imagine how he thinks about humans? He probably sees us as something akin to pets, but with demons is even worse since they don't submit to angels like most of humanity does.

Jeez, Gabriel is so unpredictable they changes mood faster than his shirt ! I don't know how to feel about them, is it the angel's nature to protect all the human from the "evil demons" or just him ? Maybe they lost someone, a human maybe before, because of demons and it's explain why they are so overprotective ? i don't know but i love this series, i hope that it will have more scripts about this story !

Okay, this comment might be a _bit_ long, more of a book review than a UA-cam comment, but I couldn't really help myself. When you come across an audio that's pretty much perfection - from the writing, to the lore, sfx, voice acting, hell, even the BEAUTIFUL art - it inspires me to appreciate all the work and passion that went into it! Plus, it's just a lot of fun to talk about interesting stories, (including audio scripts!) and I'm always a sucker for angelic lore. So thank you both @quartxio4979 and NaughtPlusZero for this fantastic audio entertainment! ❤
(Warning for those who haven't watched the audio first: spoilers below).
First things first, from the moment our angel friend -popped out of the bushes- stepped elegantly on the scene, NaughtPlusZero truly brought this character to life. The voice-acting was honestly top-tier, I can't think of a single word uttered that did not feel authentic coming from this character. The intonation, pleasantly lilting yet somehow eerily _wrong_ , suited Gabriel completely. It gave off the vibe that he was a. not human, and b. trying just a little _too_ hard to be friendly and comforting.
_"A little lamb like you should not stray so far away from your flock. But do not be frightened, I am here to shepherd you back to where you belong."_ This is one of the first things Gabriel tells the Human, which I think is intended to foreshadow his intentions to bring them back to his city. (I am curious how he knew the Human was in the Demon Emperor's gardens, as well as why he wanted to take this human in particular, though).
Next, he compliments the beauty of the human's eyes... in how they reflect the light of _his_ halo. I think that's a nice hint to his narcissism, while also foreshadowing that he _does_ desire the Human for his own... to mold them into the image that _he_ wants.
_"Mankind tends to be incredibly persistent when it comes to killing something."_ Gabriel drops this eerily specific line after the Human reveals that it was their own kind that hurt them, and I was wondering if that was intended to hint that the angels actually _want_ the humans to wipe out the demons, or am I just overthinking that?
Anyway, after Gabriel reassures the Human some more and heals up their wounds, he begins to question them on why the fuck they're hanging out at the Demon Emperor's place, and he seems genuinely incredulous that a demon took them in, and that the Human is _actually_ staying of their own free will. He claims he's never heard of any demon doing so before. Even if that's the case, it doesn't change the fact that I would still trust the Demon Emperor with my life, and I wouldn't trust the Angel with my goddamn chia pet. The Demon Emperor has passed all the vibe checks, meanwhile Gabriel is proudly waving a red flag and insisting it's green. Nobody's _that_ colorblind, bro. 😒
The Angel goes on to ask for the Demon's name, saying in a _hella_ ominous tone, (starting around 1:43 ) that he "wants to speak to them" to ensure they have "no malicious intent in keeping the Human here." Honestly, I'm wondering if this is a property dispute. Gabriel is out here collecting humans like Pokemon to bring back to his city, meanwhile this Demon Emperor just swooped in and got himself a Shiny, before Gabriel could get his pretty hands on them first. Gabriel might be feeling territorial over humans in general and this one specifically.
Then Gabriel proceeds to dump some ANGEL lore on us. And I love it??? The world-building is so intriguing. I _did_ have several questions on rewatch, but honestly, this -book review- comment is long enough, so moving on. While telling the story of the angels, Gabriel reveals he's not like the other girls, he couldn't hear his creator, and if the angel hierarchy was on fire, he wouldn't even deign to spit on it. It's not often you see a democracy-leaning villain, but here you go. I honestly think his motivation being progress, equality, and modernity is such an interesting twist on the standard antagonist formula.
I also loved this fictional take on fallen angels - that they literally live on earth, and have a different set of ideals as the ones above, while still retaining some obvious angelic facets, instead of becoming full-blown devils; the motivation for the Fall was unique, too. And as he explains the Fall, Gabriel's pain and fury at being betrayed by his friend during the war was, again, brilliantly voice-acted (that growl on "URIEL" was legendary), before he returns to his cheery calm as he explains that s'all good, they have built up a glorious city that is incredibly modern and technologically advanced, "a perfect utopia of freedom" and a "fresh start" and they call themselves "Modern Angels" - *not* Fallen. Definitely not Fallen. Sure.
Small detail, after delivering this line that is dripping in false pity: _"Those poor demons, having to deal with both angels and humans,"_ Gabriel gives an amused chuckle that sounds both melodic and malicious to me, and _definitely_ got across his genuine disdain of demons. (20:40 - 20:52 ) Anyway, Gabriel insists that while he's _not_ fond of demons, he's still not part of the ones currently attacking them, and if any angels are doing it, then it _has_ to be the Courthouse Angels, not the -Fallen- Modern Angels. (I'm actually not sure if I believe him or not here. 🤔 He's clearly a liar, but he might genuinely be too busy and apathetic to be waging war. For now. Clearly, he has a personal beef with _our_ demon, though, for trying to take a human away from him).
Then, abruptly, Gabriel points out that the Human basically looks like a rural peasant, which means they probably don't live on his land. (Rude, but fair).
So finally, Gabriel gets to the point he's been building up to all this time: come back with him, to live in his utopian city.
The answer is no.
Upon receiving this rejection, the tone starts taking a shift for the darker. For one, Gabriel starts calling the Human by _dArLiNg_ , which is actually quite creepy, and there is rising tension underneath the friendly facade. It's interesting to note that literally everything he tells the Human about demons and Asepelus(? how do you spell that name) to dissuade the Human from staying longer could be applied to himself - straight down to the pulling strings metaphor. Dude's a hypocrite.
And when Gabriel finally goes full-blown crazy Yandere, it's a _glorious_ break-down, (which makes excellent use of sfx and echoing) and one that makes so much sense for an evil angelic character. Angels and humans have such an interesting, mutually dependent relationship with each other. Angels get all their power through protecting humans, and their entire lives revolve around watching over humans, who just keep dying foolishly no matter how hard they try to protect them. These avoidable tragedies could easily explain Gabriel's desperation and frustration and overcontrolling possessiveness, while he insists - and genuinely seems to believe - that he knows best, and only wants the best for humanity. He keeps insisting that he's a savior. That this is all for their own good. That he's doing a good thing. But even if ANY of his intentions are good, (and that's somewhat doubtful) you know what they say about those...
It's interesting to note that while Courthouse angels can't do much about their charges' foolish choices, due to the no-contact rule set down by Order (iirc), Fallen/Mondern Angels actually *can* exert direct control over humans now. Which is kind of horrible news. I wonder if the Order wanted to keep Angels and Humans apart to ensure that humanity's free will wouldn't get tampered with by Yandere angels like Gabriel. 🤔
Gabriel, unfortunately for this Human, believes he is far more entitled to having them than a demon like Asepelus. From his dialogue during this breakdown, Gabriel clearly looks at humanity as being hopelessly naive, inferior beings, but at the same time, he's clearly utterly obsessed with protecting them and feels a _need_ to be close with them and "save them," especially this Human, for some reason.
He ends up abducting the Human despite their resistance, and the Human's mind ends up melted into Gabriel's chalice. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but it's not good, and I hope they'll be able to snap out of it. If there's a part 3 to this, I'll certainly look forward to it, and I thank you for bearing with my ramble. I have basically two modes: no comment, or a whole-ass essay. 😂You got an essay, because this got me genuinely intrigued to know more about the lore of this story and characters, and the quality overall was just so high in every department. If this was turned into a book or a webcomic, I'd read it; it has potential I think. Also, I'd love to know who the artist for this video is!

While I can't remember some of my original worldbuilding questions, I still definitely have quite a few left to ask, so thank you for being willing to discuss your story with me!
1. I was wondering when the conflict between angels and demons broke out, and why there was enmity between them in the first place; for example, themes of chaos vs order?
Also, did Angels have a hand in turning humanity against Demons?
2. Both demons and angels are fixated on humans; Order ... ordered Angels to watch over Humanity, even molding their form to reflect their charges, while Demons thought the human form was perfection by themselves and sought to emulate them. (I am so flattered ❤). Is there a reason established yet for why humans seem to be the nucleus of these three colliding worlds?
3. I was very curious about how Gabriel knew the Human was here in the first place, and why he was so insistent on making _this_ one his special one. Is this Human a character with something unique about them?
4. This nasty boi referenced a couple of times wanting to speak to our -manager- Demon Emperor, and I was wondering if the motivation for that eagerness could be divulged - was it a territory dispute, like I suspected; a warning to not collect humans anymore because Gabriel's got that market cornered?
5. Do the Demons have their own dark secrets? While the Angels seem ... untrustworthy at best, and Humans seem to be the hot mean girls of this universe (our sweet rural peasant Human seems pretty neat though) demons came out looking innocent from the Demon Emperor's perspective, but he also mentioned they had done their own fair share of crimes/sins, which got me curious. I am positive he was telling us the truth with everything, but I wondered if omitted some details and sugarcoated some events in the hopes of creating a largely positive image of his people, because he mentioned that his goal *was* to foster a good image, if I recall correctly. (And demons clearly deserve better than what they've gotten; their history was so tender, even poetic in how they wandered the world, trying to find perfection, and how they dearly wanted to be accepted. Then it got so tragic.)
6. What is Gabriel's chalice? Why is the human's mind being drawn into it? Also, where did the strings come from???

1. i won't spoil much, but let's just say the creator of the demons and the angels have some serious beef
2. humans are considered a rather important group of people by the gods that made them, like their children, so protecting them is a pretty big deal! they are made quite differently in comparison to other groups of people that exist in this world, and their anatomy is considered quite special. you can say humanity is one of a kind here
3. Gabriel keeps a very close eye on Ascepelus since he considers him a threat, so he most likely saw Ascepelus bringing in the human
4. aw hell naw karen gabriel, he even got the blond hair down ; you would be correct! Gabriel desires to protect and care for all humans and put them in his city so he can keep an eye on all of them. he sees their ability to shape and create as something he can exploit (though he aims to keep humanity happy, of course), so he wants to use that to expand his control and reach out for more. why? that's a story for another script :)
5. demons are definitely not innocent! Ascepelus is aware of the crimes his people have committed, but even so, it was all done to survive against the wrath of the humans
6. - the chalice part is just a metaphor for the human slipping into Gabriel's control and not an actual thing
- Gabriel's angelic magic allows him to create puppet strings of magic to control people with :)
