Spraying swedes for aphids, white butterflies (caterpillars), Downey and Powdery mildew and a little foliar fert. They look good! KXNNJXZW9PC5HTH Music credit
Wish we had that much grass around we've been getting a little skiff on rain every now and then but nothing good enough for actually see some really growth
Was out at Coleridge downs the other day and they've been feeding out for the last 2 months bc we've had no rain and I feel like everyone else is in same boat
When you planted you used two different planters is there any different in the crop from one paddock to the other? All you have put in your videos look bloody good ,thanks in advance
At this stage I'm not saying anything 😅, we'll wait till weights are in. The only real difference is the row spacing and seeding rates, 15" and 100,000, 15" and 90,000, and 20" and 80,000 to the hectare. My moneys on the 20" rows, but not by much.
@@deepsouthsheepbeef4307 20" swedes, you'll get diminishing returns as you tighten spacing and increase plant numbers. Give those bulbs room to bulb up!!
Thats the one, lots of crop blocks, or young grass, spray outs etc. Seldom more than 10% of a farm at any time. The ute will go further than a spray tractor too, when it comes to hills. Most spray tractors are set very narrow.
Plus side of tractor sprayers your able to equip autosteer to them and have a good placement of spray. Most utes and spray trucks have guidence but due to legal requirements cant have autosteer so have to steer it by hand. Probably more likely to get stuck in a ute but you have less compaction to the ground then a truck or tractor. Heaps of variables and they normally all equally add up

Do you have any sprayer drones operating in you region
Do you use an agronomist for the sweede crop?
How effective is it using a ute sprayer?
Very.
Guess it's ideal in a situation where you have smaller blocks of land and a lot of traveling between farms
