This video is a lot- you've been warned lolol. If you want to know why I'm selling, my "for sale" video explains a bit at the end & I've been dropping hints for weeks ;) On another note- I might be taking an extra week off next week to make sure that the swap to our new home goes smoothly. We'll be back soon enough either way though- I can't wait to share this next journey 💃
Ya know you'll be back on the road before you know it after a well needed break and staying in 1 spot. The next road chapter will be so much better cause now your a vanlife veteran!!
So glad you and Finn will be back. I look forward to your adventures. I admire you so much for your free spirit. If I could do life over again, I would do it in a van, traveling to see the beauty this country has to offer. Thank you for giving me great ideas for retirement! Give Finn a kiss on the head. He is such a sweet companion for you. I love that he opens the back shades every day! What a smart boy!!!!
This video really drove home the idea that van ownership really isn't any different than home ownership. From the repairs and maintenance to the emotion of moving on, it's so similar. Great episode.
So, how does your house move? Roadholding similar to a van? Acceleration and speed ok? And where did you sleep last night with your house? Oh, that's right, same spot where your house always has been. Very exciting and awesome. :(
@@gahangore111 Of course not. If you don't wanna go there in your van, you don't go there in your van. In your house you don't go anywhere, neither the places you don't wanna go, nor the ones you really wanna go. And your point is?
Wow. Pretty sure we all understand how connected you were/are to that van, it was home. It was your area of refuge, it was your area to go thru emotions both amazing and sad. And you took us all along for that journey and 107,000 subscribers are excited for the next chapter. Why? Not because of that fantastic van, but the fantastic owner and her four legged sidekick. Thanks and safe travels to the new owner.
I completely understand all of the emotions coming to the surface. Selling your first home is always a huge deal. Thank you so much for sharing all of your adventures. I have so enjoyed being on this journey with you. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for you and Finn. Be safe and be blessed!!
Thanks, thanks for making a grown man tear up on a Monday. Love your video, your story, everything you got going on. Anybody that gets the slightest bit emotional, it’s because you made us vested in your journey, that’s not an easy thing to do. Hope the journey continues. P.s. we need a Finn day video.
I will end by rewatching Finn un-cover the windows 🥹😍 But I can only imagine how sad and bittersweet it must be saying goodbye to something that was there through some of the most transformative years of your life. 💖 Looking forward to your next adventures, I think life has so many amazing things in store for you! 😊
I've been following your journey for so long now. You always made me feel like I'm following a close friend. I'm so happy for you that you're moving on and I'm sure the best will come for you and Finn in the next chapter. We love you, Mariah!❤️
Thank you for allowing us to be here with you as you close this chapter of your journey. I sit here with baited breath waiting for you to open the next chapter of your journey. You are a good soul Mariah, Karma will treat you well! Till we see you again , you and Finn stay safe.
I am sobbing right with ya. I found your channel earlier this summer while going thru one of the darkest times and your videos have been such a safe and calm space for me to relieve my anxiety and just sit and live vicariously through. Things have been looking up for me recently this month. As much as your van life videos mean so much to me, I am looking forward to see what’s in store for this new chapter! Very exciting things, change is necessary ❤️
10 seconds into this video. And as someone who's been watching you since your second video if I remember correctly. I already know I'm gonna be in tears by the end of this! It's been amazing watching you grow and living through your adventures Mariah!
Never feel bad or apologize for showing emotion. Especially when it comes to your home and your lifestyle and livelihood... change is hard! And you've experienced a lot of it in this space. I've been watching since #22, and it's amazing to see all you've accomplished. It's truly inspiring. Can't wait to see what comes next, and all the very best in your next chapter on the road!
thank you so much Mariah, I've enjoyed watching your journey for the last couple of years. I am 60 yrs old and live in the Northern part of Australia spending alot of time on the road in my 2002 transit van. this is my 5th van from vw kombi to Toyota's.. once you've tasted van life it stays in you.. can't wait to follow you on your coming journey, take care and stay safe. Just came across your videos while looking for ideas for a Ford Transit camper build and seeing how you live and where you go reminded me of my first van life time 5 years ago and how I miss those times. Thank you :)
stop i’m crying. these videos have been soo therapeutic for me for months now bc i had exams and was stressed constantly, i’m really sad to see them go but i’m excited for your new chapter which is happening just as i’m going into mine which is crazy
Oh my goodness, Mariah!! This was so freaking wonderful! And although many tears were/and are being shed as we all collectively share in this big change, I think it’s safe to say we’re all so proud and happy for you!! Looking forward to what’s next! It’s been really encouraging the last couple years watching you grow into such an awesome human!! 🥹🤙🏼
"I don't do good with change" - I LOL'd when you said that. Your whole lifestyle revolves around change and it's absolutely wonderful!!! :) Looking forward to your new adventures!
Hi, once i stumbled apon one of your videos. I have watched almost all of them now, it made me realise what i want. Freedom, and the way you explain your adventures is the way i wanna feel. I am far too young to own a van like this but you have inspired me so much. Whenever i turn 18 im gonna buy a van, to make my small cozy home. My biggest dream was always that i wanted to feel free and alone but i never realised that until now. Thank you for helping me get on my path, i needed something to wait for and dream of. :)
I've been following you since the beginning but I never post comments. Just wanted to say you're one of my favorite people to watch here on YT. You feel so geniune, without cringy attention seeking like 99% of other people here. You really inspired me to try vanlife myself. I really appreciate you and I hope you and Fin will find the next awesome chaper in your lives soon!
The saga must continue!!! So many of us are attached to you, waiting for the next adventure. No matter what you do, or what you choose, we're all behind you, supporting you. This could be a mini-series someday!!! Take care, we'll all be waiting! You're the best!
6:04 Never have I ever thought about this. I bought a $120 ladder that I only use to get on top of my van. It stays in the back and has only been used half a dozen times. Brilliantly simple.
Bawling my eyes out with you, and also while reading some of the comments. I feel the same about my baby - my 22 year old/224K mile car that's been with me thru all of life's ups and downs. There's a beautiful poem by Khalil Gibran about joy and sorrow that I think you'd like (if you don't already know it! 😊). "The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain...When you are sorrowful, look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth, you are weeping for that which has been your delight." Celebrating all of the incredible things you've accomplished already with your first heart van, and here's to all the new adventures waiting for you and sweet Finn. 💗💗💗
I’m enjoying you so much! You are so precious and you make my day! I get so excited to see that you posted a new video! Your honesty, your funny little sense of humor, your courage to move through the transitions of life are all an inspiration to me! can’t wait to see your new ride!💖🧚♀️💖🧚♀️💖🧚♀️💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
So. It's a beautiful September afternoon here. I should be out mowing my yard. Instead, I am sitting here bawling after watching your video (I'm a Pieces also). Mariah. I am getting old, but you have your whole life in front of you. Be smart. Be safe. And most of all have fun! You are a wonderful person. And thank you so much for the sharing your life with us.
Thanks for taking us with you! When you share your life with others they are with you. You have a bright future ahead of you so, go enjoy it! Look forward to seeing you soon.
Changes are always difficult, and you have had so many adventures with that van. But I can't wait to see the new chapter of your life with more adventures, and see the next place that you call home! I hope you asked the new owner to periodically send you photos of the adventures that the van is taking!
I had a day off work today and youtube decided to point me towards your channel . 9 hours later I'm still watching. Love what you are doing. you have so much more power than you seem to give yourself credit for. As for haters, meh, karma will get them. Keep up the amazing work :)
please remember to show us every step of your new van build. I'm going to be taking a lot of inspiration and learning a lot so I want to see every little thing. thank you
I have enjoyed the videos immensely. They have given me from England the beautiful scenery of USA. I have actually been to San Diego and the wider area on two occasions, and loved it, but have never been able to get to USA . I hope that you get through the next period ok. You have the satisfaction of knowing that you pleased thousands of people through your travels. Good luck for future.
I’m crying with you!!! Such a beautiful soul!! Thank You for sharing your story and Awe inspiring vistas!!! It’s a biiiig step!!! And I understand the attachment understandably! Moving forward… WOW I feel you are going to BLOOM! Even more than you expect… stepping into a new chapter can be scary daunting and exciting all rolled up in one however your free spirit has and can grasp this new vision for you & the finster!!!🫶🏻👏🌅🙌👍🌞💗much love light & peace to you dear one.. you give us soon to be travelers leaving the comforts of our old homes in exchange for less overhead more peaceful tranquility, hope!! TY!!!! ✌️✌️✌️✌️🫶🏻😎💗
Hi Mariah, I usually don't leave comments. But I started watching your videos around december last year (2021), from the very first video and I just caught up to this video today. My, I have to say, what a journey you've gone through and how awesome to see you grow as an individual. You're like the same age as me (I'm 24) and I'm dying to get a van one day, but first finishing my studies. I can only wish you goodluck and happiness the coming weeks and I'm curious to see where this new journey will take you. Lot's of love Jessica from the Netherlands.
Life has many sad moments that really turn into happier ones, like a caterpillar who dreads pupate into a chrysalis unknowing what happens next. Looking forward to your next chapter, no doubt will be better!!
Omg, I’m kina embarrassed to say but I was crying as well. You do such a good job bringing us into your story. Thanks for sharing your your adventures.
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. I hope you be back in the PNW sometime in the future. There are many cool and beautiful spots for you to visit
Tim Fisher Wow, you made me cry too, after watching this video and reading the comments section, I too lost my wife to a terrible illness, 6 months ago, we were happily married, totally in love and living a dream life for the last 12 years, but then it all suddenly changed in an instant. I'm about to embark in vanlife in a t5, travelling round eastern europe, I literally passed my driving test last week. Excited, anxious, nervous and full of mixed emotions. I'll be taking Nera, a rescued 4 year old lab, that my late wife insisted on getting, of which later after her passing, discovered that she wanted to get it for me and not be lonely.!
Maria, I sold my first travel trailer and I know how you feel. It was a 14 foot Starcraft AR One that i named "The Sheltie Shack" Me and my 4 shelties traveled to agility shows and did just camping in her. I learned so much in that camper. I sold her for a class C 24 foot. I needed a bit more room. I cried when I let her go. I took such good care of that camper and the girl who bought her for horse show camping, parked her in a FIELD!! It was so sad to me. So I can relate but I do love my new Sheltie Chateau so onwards..........
So my husband just asked, "why are you sitting at the computer crying over your morning coffee?" Well, see, my favorite little vanlifer is crying, so....so am I. Again. Big Hugs. Can't wait to see what you do next. Best wishes to you and Finn.
Every life changing transition will tug at you because you alone deep inside know how much this journey of life transformed you into the person you are today.
You’re making ME cry! 😭 I LOVE Mt. Rainier. ❤ I miss living up there in Tacoma. It’s a wonderful place to end this part of your journey. It’s soooo beautiful.
I use to live jn Bellingham. I lived there for 22 years. It was good to see the mountains again. It is such a beautiful place and I miss the seasons there. Thank you for taking us along with you on your journey. 🌲 ♥️🌲
Wow.......the end of an era !!!! And as an oldie who has been a long term follower, I have really enjoyed your adventures, and all your personal growth. Your emotions were quite normal, and to be expected....I am looking forward to what is to come for you in the future. Good luck...stay safe and well. Cheers
Mariah i cried too just watching you,it was really emotional.i still have my dad's car which is33 years old but i love my vintage car as i have so many memories of my late father with it. I hope we see you soon. Best wishes for new chapter of ur life.i have seen all 83 videos many times as i see myself in you.stay blessed
Hi Mariah and Finn. Not crying, must be the chopped onions. You and Finn have touched many lives over the last 2 years. May there be more Adventures to come. We will be along for the ride.
I cried several times during this vid. I've been a huge fan since you began and you're easily my favorite person to watch on UA-cam. I cannot believe this is it. I cannot wait to see you're next chapter. You're an incredible story teller and the ability you have to expose your vulnerablilties and feelings has allowed me to really get to know you. Thank you for being so generous with your experiences and talents. I'm hoping to see/hear from you soon, Mariah! Best of luck in your next chapter.
Thank you for sharing this video. I started this day with tears in my eyes, but happy tears for you. I've been following you for awhile and your videos have helped me through some really tough times. All I can say is a huge thank you, thank you for being genuine and true to your heart. Your the best! 😪
I have followed your journey for a year and half now and thank you for bringing a real person feeling perspective! Good luck on your next adventure! Hope to see you on here again with a new van.
Just found ur channel probably 2 months ago. Just wanna say thank you! The life uve lived the last few years is a life many of dreamed of. Good luck on ur next adventure
Whew this was a lot for all of us. I just found your channel last week and chewed through all of your videos. I love them and you and Finn. I also saw one of Christian’s videos and I was so excited to see Finn :) You got what you needed from that van, and now that woman will get what she needs. You also found out ‘it was inside you all along’ and still is….. I look forward to the new adventures in the new vehicle/home. You really are brave, strong, smart, introspective, and inspiring xoxo
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
*** oh my.....aren,t Washington summers nice.....wish had passed by on the peninsula. Looking forward to your continuing journey. Mariah you are a lucky young lady with a awesome future. Thank you for the real stories and adventures. May they continue soon.
Yup, you had me tearing up as well. Love the way Fin starts the day taking down the rear blinds and the shots at the end were he is giving a tour of his own to the new 4-legged owner. Special times… one chapter has completed, but there are so many amazing chapters ahead in this novel life of yours. Can’t wait to see the first pages of the next chapter….
It’s always good to build something nice and pass it on for the next person to enjoy whilst cherishing the memories you created. Good luck on the next chapter of adventures.
What can I say, Mariah? I’m already missing all this, you, Fin, the van … a lot. Thank you for letting us …someway, somehow come into vanlife along these two years now 😊😢, I can not believe this is over 😳😱, every week over the last two years waiting for your video… 🤗🤗🤗. Thank YOU 🌺🌺🌺. And maybe..see ya soon 🙂, stay cool 🤗
The van was your home, your safe space, your refuge, a constant in your ever changing nomadic world. It’s easy to see why it was so hard to let it go. But the growth you experienced and the memories you made will always be a part of you and with you on your next journey. What a blessing!
Life is funny. Changing your life and all the work you did , it’s a lot (insert emotions). That adventurous spirit and willing to work for what you want in life, going to do just fine.
Very cool channel and really like this video. You are not afraid to share your true self with the masses. This is the first video I have seen of all of your video's! So now I am going to go all...the way back to the beginning to see all of what led up to this video. 😊 Cheers and blessings!
Knew it was going to be emotional - Instagram - but like I had said before, you have this - it's just a lot to process. Take the time you need, you can always explain what goes on in the background later on. You've kept growing and you'll keep growing as you continue on your journey that we all are trying to navigate. Take care!
Congratulations, I think! I saw a u-haul box truck parked close to the road like they do to sell one and I thought of you! That wander lust is probably already calling you. We/I have gotten a lot of joy seeing bits of your life.
Brave girl. Looks idyllic. So nice to see a young person so enjoying nature, just like I did when I was young (when I took nature trips to Canada and such).
Oh gosh. I cried with you.. I'm a sentimental fool and I don't even know you except with these videos lol! Hang in there ...you definitely left Good vibes in that van for the next lady and her little poochie❤️
I was crying with you.. It is very emotional because the van was your baby, however new horizon's await you.. Looking forward to your new build and adventures!
I just love watching your videos, it’s always been my ultimate dream to buy a van and decorate it all out so it’s very homely. You inspire us on how to get the best out of our selfs and how to love our selfs whilst making these journeys, i just love watching your videos so moving good luck for the future.
Good luck in whatever you do NEXT! I'm gonna miss watching you and your cute little dog! Never commented before, just wanted to say Hello and Goodbye 🥰
If it's any consolation I cried along with you. So much goes into these vehicles we call home and I can completely relate to growing as a person as you journey physically and emotionally. I'm looking forward to your next chapter. Hugs
I wish you love, happiness, and peace in your journey. My highlight after a stressful day was to watch your videos to help me relax, dream, calm down. I’m missing you, your silliness, your truthfulness, your music…where am I’m going? Guess I’ll find out.
Thks Mariah, really enjoyed watching you the last two years, you are amazing and looking forward to whatever you bring to us down the road… God Bless you 🥰
Large changes are great for personal growth! I love your Van Home, I would buy it if I lived over there! Sold so soon, well done but sad! She had little dog like yours, simpatico! 🥲🤗🇦🇺💜
I'm crying with you! But I can't wait to see what is up next in your future. Change is scary, but it sure is thrilling! Thanks for always keeping it real.
Of course that was your baby. And your first home. And your home home. There will be better times ahead, but never ignore your true feelings. I wish you safe travels, as many more are to come!
Mariah, Thanks for sharing your journey. Everything has a beginning, middle and end. You have shared deeply with us, and I have appreciated your skill as a story teller. Wish you the best for whatever is next. Just make it count!
I only just found your channel tonight. I've been obsessing with travel trailers, camper vans, and other RVs as of late. Sad to see ya go after just finding ya. Would've been fun learning and going on the solo camper life journey alongside with ya. Now I'll just have to watch your ENTIRE library so you can show me de wae 😁You're also WAY better in front of a camera than I am, so I'm not sure my adventure will be recorded and posted and whatnot 😆 Hope you and your pup find your way on the next adventure 😎
Mariah, I hope you're doing well. We all enjoyed your trips so much and many great things will happen in the future. Keep us posted on your adventures! Thanks for all the life lessons you've taught us... by overcoming them yourself.
So excited for you!! You're doing the right thing. I truly cannot wait to see your next video and hear about what is going on with you. You are going to run into some tough spots, but they are going to be your stepping stones up to your highest points yet!!! You got this, Baby Girl!!!
well… I’ve been following you for some time now and this video has shook me up tonight, little girl 😐 I’m a high maintenance RVer that likes his amenities and I’m not sure I will ever be able to handle dusty roads and roughing it, but you sure have me thinkin’ about it! So, here is what resonated with me about this video… I still have my Schwinn bicycles from childhood and my high school car from more years ago that I care to think about. I become very attached to stuff that don’t live or breathe. I’m not sure I will ever be able to part with my Casita and ole Dodge pickup that I’ve spent so much time with over the years. Best wishes and we look forward to your next chapter… as long as it’s on the road 😉

You serious right now?
Lol
Agree😊
This is not the end, this is the beginning of the next chapter of your life!

There are 100,000 of us rooting for you and everything you do. Good luck.
More than a 100,000..
More than 150,000 as of 12 Nov 2022 . . . .

I hope you asked the new owner to periodically send you photos of the adventures that the van is taking!

Hi Mariah,
I usually don't leave comments.

Wow, you made me cry too, after watching this video and reading the comments section, I too lost my wife to a terrible illness, 6 months ago, we were happily married, totally in love and living a dream life for the last 12 years, but then it all suddenly changed in an instant.
What a remarkable narrator and story-teller, with an absolutely courageous spirit and beautiful personality... captivating! 🙏
Cheers
We all love you Mariah, this is just another footnote in your journey thru life. Hug your puppy and know tomorrow is a start of another adventure
Mariah i cried too just watching you,it was really emotional.i still have my dad's car which is33 years old but i love my vintage car as i have so many memories of my late father with it. I hope we see you soon.

I also saw one of Christian’s videos and I was so excited to see Finn :)
You got what you needed from that van, and now that woman will get what she needs. You also found out ‘it was inside you all along’ and still is…..
I look forward to the new adventures in the new vehicle/home. You really are brave, strong, smart, introspective, and inspiring xoxo
52 y/o retired Marine. Shed a tear LOL. Nicely done young lady! Now start the next build.
Bonjour Mariah Alice,

*** oh my.....aren,t Washington summers nice.....wish had passed by on the peninsula.
Looking forward to your continuing journey. Mariah you are a lucky young lady with a
awesome future.
Take care!
Good luck! You are wise beyond your years. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Thank you... Growth is good!
You can always get another van if you really wanted to. Cheer up, you’ve had a van life that most of us can only dream about. Love your dog btw.
Oh gosh. I cried with you..
I'm a sentimental fool and I don't even know you except with these videos lol!
Hang in there ...you definitely left Good vibes in that van for the next lady and her little poochie❤️
Aw! Beautiful video. I would be crying too. You felt like you been through alot with the van and saw it built from the beginning
A new chapter. I too have enjoyed this journey and look forward to what's in store. Thanks for sharing.
Mariah, Thanks for sharing your journey. Everything has a beginning, middle and end. You have shared deeply with us, and I have appreciated your skill as a story teller. Wish you the best for whatever is next. Just make it count!
Wow. Goodbyes suck. Hopefully see you soon. Thank you for the good times
I just want to say thank you for the awesome journey you shared with us. Your videos will be missed. You will be missed. Good luck ♥️
Congratulations on moving forward. You’ll be fine. Glad you found the right buyer
