I went to Magic Kingdom for the first time last week. I tried to ride Haunted Mansion, but it's too long to wait unless you have a lightning lane. The lightning lane is the worst thing to ever happen to Disney parks.
Love Hattie - he looks like Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol with Alistair Simm from 1953!!! Love his location too!!! Last time I was in the Haunted Mansion was in the 1980's as an adult with my sister's n their kids. Miss it!!!! Ghosts di NOT have to be bothered with story lines n summonings as they are ethereal and appear anywhere they want to!!! This i know personally as I have witnessed at least 3 in my 66 yrs of life, ALWAYS out of nowhere!!! So Hat Box Ghost, Welcome!!!
Ken Anderson was one of Walts 9 Old Men and art contributed to the original Haunted Mansion. I also have a print of his signed by him of the haunted mansion concept art when the Disney Gallery was above the Pirates of the Caribbean back in the early 90s!
Welcome to the south Hattie lol and the new haunted mansion movie is so good and it’s storyline so much better too and makes you really love both mansions even more 😊
Only problem I have with the location of the hatbox ghost is that it draws attention away from the endless hallway and floating candelabra. Riders experiencing the mansion for the first time probably miss these effects entirely.
I appreciate your take on the Hatbox Ghost as I will be going next week. Side note, after all these years I still enjoy watching and listening to your shows. Like I always said, you have a gifted voice.
Every time I have rode the haunted mansion in WDW it has always been we have 999 happy haunts. There is room for one more. Any volunteers? I have never heard there is room for a thousand. Also at the end the bride above the exit says hurry back and don't forget your death certificate.

I am not looking forward to the day you change directions because for me it will be like losing a friend that I never met in person but I know all about. I watch just about every day. You are down to earth and have not been caught up by your success. You are such a darn good guy, in my opinion, and on that final day when you say this vlog is over, it's going to hurt. While I’m glad they finally brought the hatbox ghost to the Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion, it only serves as a reminder of how far they have to go to make this ride in Orlando as spectacular as it really is in Tokyo, Anaheim and even in Paris’ versions. Same for many of the rides at the Magic Kingdom. They just not up to par in technical quality and showmanship as their counter parts around the world. But no one who has visited the other versions will ever know or realize what I’m talking about.
Disneyland will always be the 🙌BEST🙌...due to it being the Only Disney Park that doesn't Outright appear to be a Lavish theme park...but instead a Community/town/mini City🙌💯
Great share..love that attraction. Here is a small tidbit about "KEN" Anderson.. Disney assigned Imagineer Ken Anderson to create a story using Disney Legend Harper Goff's idea. Plans were made to build a New Orleans-themed land in the small transition area between Frontierland and Adventureland.

I went on Tron during the MIckey's NSS Halloween party. It was amazing. I was the only one in our party that wanted to go on it. They missed out. Tron is a must anytime your in MK.
Adam there's also a small head stone that lays flat up by the sidewalk behind Madam Leota that's for all the past and present butlers and maids who have passed away.
You always do the same vlogs as other WDW influencers... except one. I rarely see anyone do vlogs from the Disney Transportation (aka buses)! As a Walt Disney World bus driver, I would gladly have you video about the trip from your DVC resort to whichever park you want. I can't guarantee a wrapped bus like the one in this video, or a regular one, but either way, you need to be more unique!
I love Disney and I love Adam's videos, but I'm completely lost on the hype behind that ghost. I thought it was going to be a lot more spectacular than that.
It’s interesting that DisneyWorld Haunted Mansion isn’t decorated on the outside for Christmas like Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion. Is it always that way? I’ve never been to WDW.
I’m not at all sure but with a leap year doesn’t Disney usually do something? Again not sure but another 24 hours at Disney would be something but obviously as the years go by it gets tougher to complete.
They haven’t done one of those in a long while. 24 hour event used to be a yearly thing in the early/mid 2010s. Disney is too cheap to put that on now unfortunately
Always fun. The place they put the Hat Box Ghost seems a bit odd. They should add Briar rabbit to the Haunted Mansion animal grave yard. I doubt they will given the reason they redid Spash, though.

I think Hatti is in the perfect spot, and he is more than your typical spirit, so it makes sense that he doesn't follow the rules and he will appear when he so chooses. I like the spot as well
I worked in tourism for 30 years and as a student travel tour operator, brought literally hundreds of high school bands to perform at WDW. In 1982, I met with Disney group tour personnel before Epcot opened and I remember how adamant they were that we always used the term “EPCOT Center”, not just the one name EPCOT! How things change! I noticed your hoodie-old school!
Pecos Bill's and Columbia Harbor House was always our family's favorites, too! The upstairs was almost always empty and we had it to ourselves. I really wish they would release a pin of the signage of those eateries.

At that time it was Geoff, Layne, Eli, Earl Elkins Jr and Tony Wakim. Voiceplay has alot of Disney medleys. Pattycake Productions , owned by Layne and Tony have all original Disney themed videos. With extremely talented actors and actresses. From concept to UA-cam and beyond. Their latest is "Ariel Evolution/Fish Out of Water". Next month (January) they will be releasing Season 2 episode 5 of their Villains Lair series. About a bunch of Disney villains getting together to get revenge on those that wronged them. And so many more.
I'm a little over the video based effects such as the hatbox ghost-- they are a little overused, IMO (and lack some of the "how'd they do that?!" magic of the traditional physical effect gags/ figures. Think: floating crystal balls, etc). I understand how hatbox ghost in the hallway matches the flick, but his look, again imo, clashes with the art direction of the hallway. Hatty is "cartoony" in style/ appearance while the hallway is weighted in more realism and scale. Anyway, I like that imagineering continues to "plus" attractions

Have you’ve seen it yet in person? It really looks great, at least the one at Disneyland which is in the proper area after the attic scene (I have not seen the one at MK). And keep in mind - which you may already know - This is based on the original Hatbox Ghost that they tried to get right back in 1969 at Disneyland where they did use a projection effect, it was just 1969 technology and did not work right.

"Ken" 1909-1993 was an animator who came up with most of the concepts for the Haunted Mansion. RIP

So the explanation I heard is that there are 999 HAPPY haunts. The hatbox ghost is an EVIL villian -- so he doesn't count.

What's the point of the leota scene if the ghosts are already materialized? Guess its just me
